Funeral services for Sherri Lynn Hartman, 44, of Dover, were held Friday, March 21, in Full Gospel Church, Clayton. Mrs. Hartman died Sunday, March 16, 2008.
Mrs. Hartman was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, daughter of Okey and Norma Brummett, now of Smyrna.
She moved to Delaware as an infant and graduated from Dover High School in 1981.
Mrs. Hartman served as team mother for the Hartly/Marydel Little League when her children were younger.
She was very active with Narcotics Anonymous. She found it rewarding to help others entering the program, and to watch their lives change for the better. She will be remembered as a person who was fulfilled by her life with her family, and as someone who was loving, giving, selfless and compassionate.
Mrs. Hartman loved nature and all animals, especially caring for stray pets.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of four years, John D. Hartman; a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Tara Yates of Camden; a daughter, Mandi Marie Mayhorn of Camden; a sister, Sonja Mayhorn of Camden; and three grandchildren.
Interment was in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

John F. Hartnett Sr.
Remembrance services for John F. Hartnett Sr., 75, of Dover, were held Saturday, March 22, in Trader Funeral Home, Dover. Mr. Hartnett died Monday, March 17, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Hartnett was born July 30, 1932, in Dover, son of the late John and Margaret Ann Stewart Hartnett.
He was a member of Harrington Moose Lodge, and owned and operated Hartnett Farms and Trucking for more than 50 years. After he retired from farming, he worked with Delmarva Cleaning at Dover Downs.
Mr. Hartnett was preceded in death by his first wife, Daisy Mae Poore Hartnett, in 1991; and two brothers, John R. Hartnett and Charles Hartnett.
He is survived by his wife, Mary T. Hartnett of Dover; a son and his wife, John “Jack” and Kim Hartnett Jr. of Dover; three daughters and their husbands, Florence A. and Eddie Husfelt of Dover, Bonnie S. and Rick Millman of Harrington and Robin L. and Dan Hartnett-Sterner of Felton; two brothers, Herbert Hartnett and Leo Hartnett, both of Dover; four grandchildren, Robbie Husfelt, Amanda Jarman, Samantha Jarman and Justin Hartnett; nine step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

Edward George Jaggie
Remembrance services for Edward George Jaggie, 85, of Dover, were held Monday, March 24, in the St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Dover. Mr. Jaggie died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at home.
Mr. Jaggie was born July 10, 1922, in Jersey City, N.J., son of the late George and Emma Smith Jaggie.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Dover.
Mr. Jaggie, formerly of Middlesex, N.J., had worked at the Bayonne Naval Supply Depot, American Can Co., Piscatway, N.J., and A.T.&T., Piscataway.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Jaggie of Dover; a son, Neil Jaggie of Galloway, N.J.; a daughter, Cathy Hofstee of Milton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

Louis J. Jones
Funeral services for Louis J. Jones, 71, of Felton, were held Saturday, March 22, in Greater Life Christian Church, Star Hill. Mr. Jones died Friday, March 14, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford.
Mr. Jones was born Jan. 10, 1937, in Wewahitchka, Fla., son of the late John Henry and Maggie Jones.
He was a hard and dedicated worker. He was employed for 40 years at Rizzo Construction in Wilmington.
Mr. Jones was a family man who provided for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
He was known and loved by everyone he came around. His personality was one in a million.
Mr. Jones loved hunting and his best friend was his dog, Rango.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Belin.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rena Jones of Felton; four sons, Louis Jones, Johnny Jones, Michael Jones and James Jones, all residing in Delaware; six daughters, Della Quail, Delores Jones, Regina Jones, Edna Jones, Rena Jones and Lorraine Jones, all residing in Delaware; his mother-in-law, Mary Gilliam of Millsboro; two brothers-in-law, Franklin Isaac of Washington, D.C., and Thomas C. Cooper of Magnolia; two sisters-in-law, Marie Isaac of Washington, D.C., and Lois Cooper of Magnolia; 30 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial services for Richard Lord McMullan, 70, of Woodside, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Mr. McMullan died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. McMullan was born Dec. 9, 1937, in Pitman, N.J., son of the late William and Helen Meves McMullan.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy for four years. He received his bachelor’s degree from Delaware Valley College in 1966.
Mr. McMullan worked for Farmers Home Administration as a county supervisor for 28 years, retiring in 1995. He also had a nursery in Woodside where he raised Christmas trees, shrubs and garden plants for years.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth McMullan, on March 10, 2005.
Mr. McMullan is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie Haggerty and her husband William of Milford and Cynthia Webb and her husband James of Woodside; two brothers, Frank McMullan and his wife Susie of Albuquerque, N.M., and William McMullan and his wife Chris of Barnaget Beach, N.J.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jean and George Love of Florida and John and Thelma Hasher of Pitman; and his grandchildren, Jenna Zettle, Justin Haggerty and Brandon Haggerty, all of Milford, and Alexis Webb and Aidan Webb, both of Woodside.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Special Olympics of Delaware, University of Delaware, 619 S. College Ave., Newark, DE 19716-1901.
Ethel Lee Outerbridge Miller
Funeral services for Ethel Lee Outerbridge Miller, 84, were held Monday, March 24, in Calvary Baptist Church, Dover. Mrs. Miller died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mrs. Miller was born March 19, 1923, in Philadelphia, to the late Moses and Frances Outerbridge.
She was the fourth of 10 children. She attended the Philadelphia public schools and graduated from the former all-girls school, William Penn High School.
Mrs. Miller accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and attended West Bethlehem Baptist Church and later became a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Philadelphia.
She met and married Richard E. Miller Sr. on Feb. 21, 1942. Of this union three children were born, Frances, Richard Jr. and Nathaniel.
When she lived in Philadelphia, she was the first African-American cashier and manager at the American Store, now called Acme.
Mrs. Miller and her husband also owned and operated a variety store and restaurant.
After moving to Delaware in 1984, she joined Calvary Baptist Church and was a deaconess and the much beloved mother of the church.
She was a charming lady of great character and everybody loved her. She was a wonderful mother and wife, and loved to crochet blankets, pocketbooks and pot holders.
Mrs. Miller leaves to cherish her memory her devoted and loving husband of 66 years, Deacon Richard E. Miller Sr.; one daughter, Frances Miller and her special friend Earl; one son, Nathaniel and his wife Mildred; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law; four sisters and three brothers-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends, including special friends, Helen Brown and Valerie Barcliff, and the Calvary Baptist Church family.
Interment was in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

Laura Mae Coblentz Miller
Funeral services for Laura Mae Coblentz Miller, 83, of Wyoming, were held Monday, March 24, in 857 Almshouse Road, Wyoming. Mrs. Miller died Friday, March 21, 2008, at home.
Mrs. Miller was born Jan. 31, 1925, in Bloomfield, Mont., daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Slabach Coblentz.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William Miller; six sons, Mahlon Miller and his wife Anna of Delaware, John Miller and his wife Emma of Delaware, Eli Miller and his wife Alma of Missouri, Joe Miller and his wife Malinda of Michigan, William Miller of Delaware and Leroy Miller of Delaware; six daughters, Mary Yoder of Virginia, Anna Mae Yoder of Delaware, Lena Byler of New York, Lydia Mast of Illinois, Alma Byler of Delaware and Miriam Byler of Delaware; 83 grandchildren; 177 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; one sister-in-law; and many friends.
