A visitation for Kenneth Ledoux “Fix” Dizon, 32, of Smyrna, formerly of Dover, was held Thursday, April 19, in the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, Dover. Mr. Dizon died of liver cancer Saturday, April 14, 2007, in Christiana Care Hospital.
Mr. Dizon was born July 19, 1974, in the Republic of the Philippines, son of Kenneth Ledoux, now of California and Romanita Dizon Watson, now of Wilmington.
He graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1994 and worked as a subcontractor for Knights Carpet in Cheswold, installing hardwood flooring, carpet, tile and vinyl.
Mr. Dizon enjoyed fishing and hunting; he will be missed by all, including his many, many friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dizon is survived by his wife of more than five years, Sebrina Saseen Dizon, two daughters, Sarah and Haley, a son, Matthew and a stepson, Darren, all of Smyrna; his grandmother, Estelle Ledoux of Texas; and his grandfather, Les Ledoux of Minnesota.
Albert D. Goldhammer
A Mass of Christian Burial for Albert D. Goldhammer, 80, of Dover, will be celebrated at noon Wednesday, April 25, in the Church of the Holy Cross, in Dover. Mr. Goldhammer died peacefully April 17, 2007, at home after suffering a stroke.
Mr. Goldhammer was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Albert David and Winifred Corcoran Goldhammer.
After graduating high school, he joined the De La Salle Christian Brothers, and graduated from Catholic University with an undergraduate degree in chemistry.
He received a master’s degree in religious education from La Salle University and for many years continued post-graduate study in chemistry during the summers. He was an educator for 30 years.
After working seven years as an advertising representative for the Delaware State News, he retired, donating much of his free time as a volunteer with several local organizations.
Mr. Goldhammer was a founding member of the board of The Shepherd Place. He also participated in the work of the RC&D Emergency Home Repair Project and was recognized by then-Gov. Thomas R. Carper as an Outstanding Volunteer.
Mr. Goldhammer served as a certified volunteer with Delaware Hospice for more than five years before health concerns made it necessary to give up his work.
As a faithful member of the Holy Cross Parish, he was a Eucharistic minister and worked with the RCIA program. He also served a term as a member of the parish council.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Goldhammer was preceded in death by his sister, Winifred Bittle Paxson; and his brother, John Goldhammer.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Judith N. Goldhammer of Dover; his son, Paul David Goldhammer of Los Angeles; two sisters-in-law, Cecilia N. Mickey and Edith N. Ferrante; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director Inc., Dover.
There will be no viewing. Interment will be in St. Catherine Cemetery in Broad Brook, Ct. at the convenience of the family.

Elsie A Gray
Elsie A. Gray, 86, of Marydel, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Gray was born on Jan. 11, 1921, in Smithson, Md., daughter of the late Luther and Occie Lister Andrew.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and craft shows.
Mrs. Gray is survived by her husband of 50 years, Hollis Gray; two daughters and their husbands, Sandra and Leslie States, and Sharon and Allen Barr, all of Marydel; a son, Clyde Ware of Hartly; and a sister, Dorothy Kauffman of Denton, Md.
She also is survived by eight grandchildren, Sheila DiRocco and her husband, Steve, Greg States, Hollie Parker and her husband, Eric, Kim Enss, Ryan Ware and Dawn Barr, all of Marydel, and Rachel LeBlanc of Dover; and nine great-grandchildren.
At Mrs. Gray’s request, services will be private.

Richard Edward Gray
Richard Edward Gray, 76, of Dover, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in his home.
Mr. Gray was born Feb. 28, 1931, in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late George G. Gray and Margaret Knight Gray.
He was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and attended Julliard School of Music in New York. He played percussion in the 3rd Army Band and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
During his career, Mr. Gray was a journalist for the Atlanta Constitution; he retired from Mutual Benefit Life in Atlanta.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Jon Grabowski.
Mr. Gray is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Doug Thompson of Dover; two nephews, Mark Grabowski of Newark, Eric Grabowski and his wife, Jenn of Middletown; a niece, Jill Grabowski of Wilmington; and three great nephews.
Services were private.
Local arrangements were by Torbert Funeral Chapel.
Benjamin Scott Jones
Benjamin Scott Jones, 33, of Modesto, Calif., formerly of Dover, died of viral myocardosis Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the Memorial Medical Center, Modesto.
Mr. Jones was born Jan. 2, 1974, the son of Harry Jones and Faith Krebs.
He attended Dover High School and the Beyer High School in Modesto. He had worked for Proctor and Gamble, Clear Channel, Citadel and Central Valley Automotive.
Mr. Jones was a gifted athlete, artist, poet and card shark. He was compassionate and loving and was an inspiration to everyone whose life he touched. He was committed to God, his family and his friends. His passions included basketball, golf, fishing, camping, canoeing, poker night and listening to and creating music.
He always will be remembered as a hero, not only to his family and friends, but also to the recipients of his generous contributions through the organ donation program.
In addition to his wife, Liz, Mr. Jones is survived by a son, Thierry; a stepdaughter, Devin; his brothers, David and Brian; a sister, Kim; a half-brother, Harry; his half-sisters, Victoria and Stacey; and many other loving family members and friends.

William Cooper Lewis Sr.
A memorial service for William Cooper Lewis Sr., 78, of Huntersville, N.C., formerly of Dover, was held Friday, March 30, in Charlotte, N.C. Mr. Lewis died of natural causes Monday, March 26, 2007.
Mr. Lewis was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Dover, son of the late Frank and Helen Lewis.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte G. Lewis; his children and their spouses, William Cooper Jr. and Lorie Lewis of Charlotte, Dick and Laurie Lewis of Stanley, N.C., and Liz Anne and Eric White of Charlotte.
Mr. Lewis also is survived by his sister, Nancy Baer of New Holland, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Courtney Lewis, William Cooper Lewis III, Taylor White and Jackson White, all of Charlotte.
Arrangements were by the Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail, N.C.
Inurnment was in the Sardis Presbyterian Church columbarium.

Norma Jeanne Parker
Funeral services for Norma Jeanne Parker, 65, of Camden, formerly of Millsboro, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 27, in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, Md. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 26, and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 27. Mrs. Parker died Sunday, April 22, 2007, in Silver Lake Center, Dover.
Mrs. Parker was born Feb. 14, 1942, in Camden, the daughter of Mabel Sheppard Reed of Dover and the late George Raymond Reed.
She was a 1960 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School and a medical transcriptionist for Bayhealth Medical Services.
Prior to her illness, she enjoyed playing guitar and keyboard, and was a member of various bands, including the Hillbillies and Country Diamonds.
Mrs. Parker was a member of the Harrington Women of the Moose Lodge.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Parker Jr., in 2004.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Parker is survived by two sons, Michael Parker of Wilmington, and Gary Parker of Milford; a daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Ken Wilkins Jr. of Milford; and two grandsons, Jackson Wilkins and Cooper Wilkins.
She also is survived by five stepchildren and their spouses, Buddy and Phyllis Parker of Greenwood, Eddy and Karen Parker of Bridgeville, Jimmy and Cathy Parker of Seaford, Jerry and Kathy Parker of Greenwood, and Kay and Ben Chaffinch of Seaford; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
