Funeral services for Sarah Frances Wyatt DeBary, 93, of Kitts Hummock, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, in the chapel of the Berry Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Mrs. DeBary died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at the Silver Lake Nursing Center, Dover.
Mrs. DeBary was born Dec. 12, 1912, near Magnolia, daughter of the late Edward J. Scott and Sarah Cohee Scott.
She was a member of the Magnolia United Methodist Church and a past member of the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. DeBary was a lady who always wore a smile. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was deeply devoted to her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd E. Wyatt, in 1956; her second husband, Warren C. DeBary Sr., in 1972; three sons, Floyd Wyatt, Harry Wyatt and John Wyatt; and three daughters, Catherine Wyatt, Josephine Thorpe and Elizabeth Wyatt; and a brother, Edward Scott.
Mrs. DeBary is survived by three daughters, Loretta Wyatt Wilson and Bessie Carosella, both of Dover and Jennie Rosengren, of Florida; a son, William Carroll, of Elsmere; and a stepson, Warren DeBary Jr., of Hawaii.
She also is survived by a sister, Laura Scott Wheatley of Dover; a sister-in-law, Hilda Wyatt Scott of Dover; 27 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Eleanor R. Donovan, 83, of Frederica, were held Friday, June 9, at McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, Harrington. Mrs. Donovan died Sunday, June 4, 2006, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Donovan was born April 15, 1923, in Harrington, daughter of the late Thomas Brown and Lillie Bright Brown.
She had worked as an emergency dispatcher for the Frederica Fire Co., where for many years, she and her husband answered the fire company s emergency calls by telephone at home before the Kent County Emergency Dispatch Center came into existence.
After receiving an emergency call, it was up to the couple to blow the fire siren at the Frederica Fire Station across the street to alert the volunteers of an alarm. After Kent County began dispatching emergencies, she stayed with the fire department doing custodial work and helped with dances and affairs.
Mrs. Donovan loved to read and play bingo, and enjoyed gardening. She had a nice garden every summer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Chester Chet Donovan, in 1982.
Mrs. Donovan is survived by two nephews and a niece-in-law, Gilbert and Rita Buckley, of Georgetown and Michael Buckley, of Crestview, Fla.
She also is survived by two nieces and their husbands, Delores and Clarence Olsen, of Lake City, Fla., and Sandy and Ned Wells, of Laurel.
Finally, she is survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews; and her many friends from Heritage at Milford.

Kenneth Ray Greene
Funeral services for Kenneth Ray Greene, 48, of Dover, were held Sunday, June 11, in Calvary Baptist Church, Dover. Mr. Greene died after a short illness Monday, June 5, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Greene was born July 20, 1957, in Columbia, N.C., son of Henry Greene and Mary Greene.
He was baptized and became a member of the Star Zion Disciples Church of Christ, Fairfield, N.C.
Mr. Greene moved to Dover as a child and attended Booker T. Washington Elementary School and Dover High School.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1976, and after being honorably discharged, returned to Dover where he was head of maintenance for several apartment complexes.
He enjoyed fishing and playing cards, especially pinochle and whist. He loved showing off his culinary skills and thought he was the best cook around. Every holiday he could be found cooking up a barbecue.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Greene is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie Demby Greene; a grandmother, Carrie Simpson, of Fairfield; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Anthony and Darlene Simpson, of Creswell, N.C., Andr and Divina Greene, of Yokota, Japan, Henry A. and Deborah Greene, of Dover, Hector Greene, of Dover, and Darren and Donna Greene, of Fayetteville, N.C.
He also is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Carmen and James Kelly, of Columbia, S.C.; two stepsons, Brandon Evans and Mark Demby; two stepdaughters and a stepson-in-law, Vasheka and Lee Roy Oliveras, of Hampton, Va., and Sandra Demby of Alexandria, Va.; four grandchildren, Shakira Demby, Leeya Oliveras, Jordan Demby and Mark Demby Jr.; and two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Demby and James Taylor, both of Dover.
In addition, Mr. Greene is survived by 10 nephews, Allen, Isaiah S., Anthony AJ, Isaiah A., Zachary, Semaj, Amir, Latrell, Lionel and LaShawn; seven nieces, Dion, Capillya, Candyce, Aniya, Antoinette, Ebony and Meeko; a great-nephew, Elijah Gonzalez; eight aunts, Hazel Hill and her husband Acie, Carrie Lucas and her husband Glenn, Mary Midgette and her husband Al, Ollie Ricks, Evelyn Hopkins, Queen Greene, Lucy Greene and Carolyn Greene; and four uncles, Lee Greene, William Greene and his wife Vanessa, Lorenzia Simpson and his wife Loretta, and Chester Simpson and his wife Cathy.
Finally, he is survived by three special sisters, Doreen Livingston, Lisa Mullen and Betty Garrett; six special nieces and nephews, Chante, Lashata, Daren, Hugh, Diamond and Dakiem; two best friends, Carlyle Fenwick and Anthony Hines; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Esther V. Jones
Funeral services for Esther V. Jones, 88, of Dover, were held Monday, June 12, in Torbert Funeral Chapel, Dover. Mrs. Jones died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mrs. Jones was born Feb. 10, 1918 in Portsmouth, Ohio, daughter of the late Andrew Reed and Eleanor Jeffords Rowe.
Mrs. Jones was a homemaker who studied music at Wooster College. She played her baby grand piano her entire life and enjoyed watching and playing tennis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Wendell Jones, in 2001; and a sister and brother-in-law, Bertha and Jack Jones.
Mrs. Jones is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Reed Sr. and Linda Jones, of Dover; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ruth and Verg Ferm, of Dartmouth, N.H., and Ellamae Rowe and Bessie and Fred Herlinger, all of Pennsylvania; a grandson, Reed Jones Jr., of Dover; three granddaughters and their husbands, Lori and Scott Vien, of Wyoming, Christy and Rob Tosatto, of Alexandria, Va., and Elizabeth and Jay Kilmartin, of Columbia, S.C.; and six great-grandchildren.

John Robert McNeal Sr.
Funeral services for John Robert McNeal Sr., 59, of Dover, were held Thursday, June 8, in the Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming. Mr. McNeal died Monday, June 5, 2006, in Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre De Grace, Md.
Mr. McNeal was born Aug. 4, 1946, in Wilmington, son of the late William McNeal and Ann Gamble McNeal.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps, and worked as a house painter for Local Union 100.
He enjoyed sports, was a fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and years ago was a football coach in the Newark area.
Mr. McNeal is survived by two sons, John R. McNeal Jr. and Brian Edward McNeal Sr., both of Dover; and a daughter, Melissa Ann McNeal, of Tampa, Fla.
He also is survived by a brother, William McNeal Jr., of Minquadale; a sister, Barbara McMann, of Minquadale; three granddaughters, Holly Bumbaugh, Breanna McNeal and Logan McNeal; a grandson, Brian McNeal Jr.; a close friend, Mary McCanns of Dover; and an extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Francis Minner Jr., 51, of Wyoming, were held Thursday, June 8, in Torbert Funeral Chapel, Dover. Mr. Minner died Monday, June 5, 2006, in Christiana Hospital, Newark.
Mr. Minner was born Aug. 5, 1954, in Dover, son of Doris Carmine Minner, of Bear, and the late Francis Minner Sr.
Mr. Minner served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1979 as a communication relay operator in Germany.
He retired in 2002 as a water treatment operator for Metachem Industry, formerly known as Standard Chlorine, in Delaware City.
Mr. Minner enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, working in his garden, making wine, painting, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing pranks on his friends and family. His main love was his wife and children.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Delene Honey.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Minner is survived by his wife of 10 years, Rose Marie Granato Minner; two daughters, Crystal Marie Minner and Samantha Amber Minner, both of Middletown; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, George and Judy Merrill, of York, Pa., Robert and Peggy Hoeflich, of Wyoming and Roy Downes of New Jersey; two sisters and their husbands, Edna and Ernest Cohee, of Felton and Nancy and John Womer, of Bear; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Clarenceine Cene McDonald
Funeral services for Clarenceine Cene McDonald, 40, of Felton, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15, in Bibleway Temple Church of God, 545 Kirkwood St., Dover. Ms. McDonald died Monday, June 5, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Ms. McDonald was born Nov. 11, 1965, in Milford, daughter of Clarence McDonald Sr. and the late Priscilla Hicks McDonald.
She was a pleasure to be around and enhanced all with her smiles, joy and playfulness, touching the hearts of everyone who surrounded her.
In addition to her father, Ms. McDonald is survived by her stepmother, Linda McDonald, of Felton; and four brothers and a sister-in-law, Alexander and Valerie McDonald, of Wyoming and Clarence McDonald Jr., Richard McDonald and Mark McDonald, all of Felton.
She also is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Jacklyn and Roger Douglas, of Dover; six stepsisters, Laneeka Baynard, Ciera Baynard, Keira Baynard, Aalyah Casson, Jameesha Baynard and Ashley Baynard; a stepbrother, James Baynard; a nephew; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.
Arrangements are by the Minus Funeral Home, Dover.
Interment will be in Gibbs Memorial Gardens, Camden.
