James Aulden Boone Sr., 84, of Felton, died Monday, April 17, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Boone was born in Wilmington, son of the late Aulden and Irene Lutz Boone.
He was a veteran of World War II, and had moved to Felton in 1945. He worked as a pipefitter with the DuPont plant in Seaford for 30 years.
Mr. Boone was active with the Felton Little League for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Tarris Boone, in 2005; and his stepfather, Leon N. Hickman, in October 1988.
He is survived by a son, James A. Boone of Harrington; three daughters and a son-in-law, Leona I. Bradley of Andrewsville, Ann M. Smith of Felton, and Darlene M. and Roy F. Dill of Felton; 12 grandchildren, Richard C. Booth, Jeffrey W. Melvin, Lisa M. Kellam, Michele Stevenson, Jeffrey C. Dodd, James Dodd, Jason Topolski, Crystal Malone, Mark Boone, Lori A. Combs, Amanda N. Dill and Thomas P. Dill; and several great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Felton.

Pauline Eve Davidson Burton
Funeral services for Pauline Eve Davidson Burton, 75, of Dover, were held Friday, April 21, in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover. Mrs. Burton died after a long illness Friday, April 14, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mrs. Burton was born May 19, 1930 in Coatesville, Pa.
She was a notary public for many years and later worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Veterans Hospital in Coatesville until her retirement. Mrs. Burton enjoyed collecting dolls from different countries and going to yard sales.
She attended Tabernacle of Faith Christian Church in Dover when her health permitted.
Mrs. Burton is survived by her companion, William Davidson Sr.; a daughter, Stephanie Davidson Pendyck; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Lori Davidson Jr.; and three grandchildren, Shanna Leigh Wertz, Meredith Davidson and Steven Davidson.
Leon Gilbert Po Dave Davis
Funeral services for Leon Gilbert Po Dave Davis, 68, of Dover, formerly of Monessen, Pa., will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, in Bibleway Temple, Kirkwood Street, Dover, where friends also may call two hours earlier. Mr. Davis died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Davis was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Monessen, son of Corrine Davis of Monessen and the late Clyde Davis Sr.
He was educated in the Monessen public schools.
Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Air Force at Dover Air Force Base, choosing to remain in Dover after his discharge. He worked at Kraft Foods for 30 years until his retirement.
Mr. Davis refused to grow old and was always on the go and full of life. Always with a smile on his face, he was able to talk with anyone about any subject. He loved singing Nat King Cole songs and listening to gospel and jazz music. He loved his family and cherished his mother. There was not a person he met that he didn t tell about his mother. A wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend to the end, he was a cut above the rest.
He often attended St. John s Holy Church in Hartly.
In addition to his father, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde Davis Jr. and Larry Davis.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Davis is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Helen; two sons, Paris Johnson and James Davis, both of Dover; four daughters and a son-in-law, Vivian and Alva Brads of Nashville, Tenn., Gail Davis and Stephanie Davis, both of Dover, and Beverly Davis of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Latrina Duvaul, and her husband, Zachery, of Nashville, Joshua Davis of Dover and Ernesto Blen Jr. of Columbus; and three great-grandchildren, Trevor Duvaul, Brooke Duvaul and Morgan Duvaul, all of Nashville.
He also is survived by eight brothers and three sisters-in-law, Eugene Davis, Ernie and Darlese Davis, Marvin and Mary Davis, Kevin and Vonda Davis, Rayford Allen, Orville Allen, Wayne Allen and Reginald Allen, all of Monessen; six sisters and two brothers-in-law, Shirley and Marshall West, Rossetta and Lloyd Aldrich, and Anita Yuille, all of Monessen, Marcella Davis of Atlanta, and Brenda Allen and Casey Allen, both of Monessen; an additional sister-in-law, Mary Briscoe; an aunt, Catherine Mason of Monessen; two special friends, Emma Taylor and Anna Deputy; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and numerous friends.
A memorial service for Gregory Manson Eames, 48, of Lincoln University, Pa., formerly of Dover Air Force Base, was held Saturday, April 22, in New London, Pa. Mr. Eames died Sunday, April 16, 2006, in a plane crash near London Grove Township, Pa.
Mr. Eames was born June 26, 1957, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., son of the late George M. Jr. and Marjorie Graves Eames.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had spent most of his career at Dover AFB.
Mr. Eames was an adjunct instructor at the various Wilmington College campus locations, where he taught aviation-related courses. He also was the owner of Integrated Technologies & Training Solutions, a computer software consulting company.
Some of his many interests included mountain biking, motorcycling, golf, traveling to Disney World with his family and flying. He also was very involved with the Avon Grove Little League and Boy Scouts of America. He was very proud of his sons, who both became Eagle Scouts.
He was preceded in death by one of his guardian parents, Donald L. Harper.
Mr. Eames is survived by his wife, Sheila Light Eames, to whom he had been married 26 years; and two sons, Glen M. Eames of Vero Beach, Fla., and Jason N. Eames of Lincoln University.
He also is survived by five brothers and sisters; Susan Shepler and her husband, Robert, of Croton-on-Hudson N.Y., Douglas Eames and his wife, Mandy, of Portsmouth, Va., Cody vanHeerden and her husband, Christiaan, of Northeast Harbor, Maine, John Harper of Ellicott City, Md., and Debra Keane and her husband, Paul, of Peekskill, N.Y.; and a guardian parent, Barbara Harper of Brevard, N.C.

Zachary Ryan Frankos
Funeral services for Zachary Ryan Frankos, 2, of Little Creek, were held Saturday, April 22, in the Little Creek Fire Hall. Zachary died Friday, April 14, 2006, in Community Hospital, Roanoke, Va.
Zachary was born Aug. 5, 2003, in Dover, son of Christopher and Lisa Graves Frankos.
He is survived by his parents, Christopher and Lisa Graves Frankos of Little Creek; three brothers, Christopher Frankos Jr. of Seaford, Andrew Graves of Dover and Justain Frankos of Little Creek; his maternal grandparents, Lemuel and Patricia Graves of Dover; his maternal great-grandmother, Anna Christian of Newark; his maternal step-great-grandfather, Clarence Christian of Newark; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Susan Frankos of Pedricktown, N.J.; and his paternal great-grandfather, C. Harold Conover of Monroeville, N.J.
Funeral services for Christine Gardner, 72, of Dover, were held Friday, April 21, in Torbert Funeral Chapel, Dover. Mrs. Gardner died Friday April 14, 2006, in Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark.
Mrs. Gardner was born Aug. 30, 1933, in Kosciusko, Miss., daughter of the late Catherine Wells.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Gardner will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, John Gardner; two daughters, Nancy Lindsey of Minnesota and Mary Gardner of Dover; 10 grandchildren, Sandra, Lisa, Timiko, Nikita, LaDonna, Obbie, Marcus, Corey, Christian and Michael; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Edith S. Gillis, 95, of Dover, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 28, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State St., Dover. Mrs. Gillis died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Capitol Healthcare, Dover.
Mrs. Gillis was born Aug. 5, 1910, in Island Heights, N.J., daughter of the late Joseph Jr. and Laura Royal Smalley.
Mrs. Gillis worked with her husband at Alfred J. Gillis, Inc., or The Little Plumber. She was a founding member of the Modern Maturity Center, a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover and the Methodist Women and was on the boards of Wesley College and the Air Force Association.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Gillis is survived by two daughters, Beryl Yoder of Souderton, Pa., and Barbara Mitchell of Philadelphia.
