Funeral services for Jim Sutlic, 44, of Dover, were held Tuesday, Feb. 14, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, Smyrna. Mr. Sutlic died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Sutlic was born March 21, 1961, in New York City, son of Alice DeTiani Sutlic of Dover and the late Ivan Sutlic.
He enjoyed boating, coaching Little League baseball and taking care of his dog. He also was an avid sports fan.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Sutlic is survived by a son, Kenny Sutlic of Georgia; and two brothers, Vincent Sutlic of Christiana and John Sutlic of North Brunswick, N.J.
Funeral services for Shirley A. Watson, 69, of Georgetown, formerly of Dover, were held Saturday, Feb. 11, in the Trader Funeral Home, Dover. Ms. Watson died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, in Lewes.
Ms. Watson was the daughter of Dorothy Clarke Watson of Georgetown and the late Marvel Ottinger Watson, who died in 1985.
She was a graduate of Dover High School and an honor graduate of the University of Delaware.
Ms. Watson was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Dover and had been active in the Georgetown Presbyterian Church for more than 25 years.
She was blessed with many talents, which she shared with family and friends. She was an avid flower gardener, loved music and was excellent pianist and soprano. She also designed fashionable clothing, which she tailored for herself and for family members.
In addition to her mother, Ms. Watson is survived by two sisters, Kathleen W. Henry of Punxsutawney, Pa., and Deborah W. McCallum of Morehead City, N.C.; an aunt, Helen Kesselring of Dover; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Ms. Watson’s name may be made to The Georgetown Presbyterian Church or to Delaware Hospice of Georgetown.
Shirley Mary Albin
Shirley Mary Albin, 80, of Dover died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, in her home.
Mrs. Albin was born July 24, 1925, in London, England, daughter of the late James Edward Davis and Gladys Agusta Phillips Davis.
She enjoyed knitting and playing bridge and was a member of the Dover Century Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett V. Albin, in 1991.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Brownlow Gray of Bermuda; and two grandsons, both of Bermuda.
Memorial services were private.
Burial was in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
Arrangements were by Torbert Funeral Chapels, Dover.
Pauline W. Barrow
Funeral services for Pauline W. Barrow, 79, of Dover, were held Sunday, Feb. 5, in Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover. Mrs. Barrow died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital.
Mrs. Barrow was born Feb. 11, 1926, in Greene County, N.C., to the late Julius L. and Julia Seamster Wilson.
She moved to Dover in 1957 from Ayden, N.C., and was a graduate of Groves High School.
Mrs. Barrow was co-owner of Al’s Texaco in Dover with her husband for many years.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover, the Foster Grandparents Association and the Delaware Association for Retarded Children.
Mrs. Barrow was an avid bowler with many senior leagues. She enjoyed walking, crocheting, playing bingo and loving and caring for her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. Barrow, in 1992.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, W. Loretta and Charles C.K. Martin of Dover, Patsy Ann Brown of Camden-Wyoming; and two brothers, Milton Wilson of Dover, and Dawson Wilson of North Carolina.
She also is survived by four granddaughters, Paula Hengst, Peggy Everett, Elyse Martin and Tina Martin; and a great-granddaughter, Jessica.

Josephine Benton
Funeral services for Josephine Benton, 75, of Felton, formerly of Barnwell, S.C., were held Monday, Feb. 6, in Mount Olive Church, Bridgeville. Mrs. Benton died Sunday, Jan 29, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mrs. Benton was born July 18, 1930, in Barnwell, daughter of the late John Williamson and Elsie Dunbar.
Mrs. Benton was a member of Mount Olive Church, Bridgeville, and a retired foster parent.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Benton; three brothers; and two sisters.
Mrs. Benton is survived by four daughters, Polly Benton, Katherine Benton, Marcia Benton and Monica Benton, all of Felton; four sons and two daughters-in-law, David and Anita Lois Williamson of Felton, Fernandez McCrae, Reginald McCrae, and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Wright, all of Dover; her surviving sister, Catherine Hicks; two sisters-in-law, Fannie Mae Williamson of Magnolia and Janie Ruth Benton of Savannah, Ga.; two special friends, Sister Eva Mae Smith and Sister Anna Belle Arnett; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Alvin Carson Coudright
Funeral services for Alvin Carson Coudright, 87, of Dover, were held Tuesday, Feb. 7, in Torbert Funeral Chapel, Dover. Mr. Coudright died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at home.
Mr. Coudright was born Jan. 25, 1919, in Wyoming, son of the late J. Denney and Maude H. Coudright.
He graduated from Dover High School in 1937 and attended Goldey Beacom College for two years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served from 1940 until 1944.
Mr. Coudright retired from the state of Delaware, where he worked for 22 years as an accountant and auditor for the finance department of the Highway and Transportation Department.
He had many hobbies, including fishing, crabbing, gardening, woodworking and tinkering.
Mr. Coudright was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Dover, and the Harrington Senior Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Matilda Taylor O’Connor, who died June 2, 1997.
Mr. Coudright is survived by a cousin, Pauline Wemple of Clayton; a niece and nephew; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and friends Betty Willoughby and Beth Alexander.
Memorial services for Chance “Jaki” Edwards, 28 months, of Chapel Hill, N.C., will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover. Chance passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006.
Chance was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia at the age of four months. He fought through four relapses and three remissions over the course of 23 months, showing tremendous strength and courage throughout his illness. There was never a shortage of family and friends who loved and helped care for him. He touched the hearts of many and left his family with many precious memories.
Chance is survived by his mother, Penny Clark; his father, Antwan Edwards Sr.; a brother, Antwan Edwards Jr., of Chapel Hill; his maternal grandparents, Rockie and Glenn Wilhelm Sr., of Dover; his paternal grandparents, Wilbert and Mary Edwards of North Carolina; two great-grandfathers, Paul Wilhelm of Dover and Wesley Williams of North Carolina; a great-aunt, Blanche Slater of North Carolina; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Marjorie ‘Bootsie’ Latimer Elliott
A Service of Remembrance for Marjorie “Bootsie” Latimer Elliott, 76, of Cape Charles, Va., formerly of Dover, was held Saturday, Jan. 14, in Capeville United Methodist Church, Cape Charles. Mrs. Elliott died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, in St. Luke’s VNA Hospice in Bethlehem, Pa.
Mrs. Elliott was born in Weirwood, Va., daughter of the late Milton and Kathryn Kellam.
She lived most of her life in Cape Charles, where she enjoyed gardening, roses and watching Chesapeake Bay sunsets from her porch. She moved to Dover, in 1999 to be closer to her children and to spend as much time as possible with her granddaughters, Katie and Kristi.
While in Dover, Mrs. Elliott became a member of the Modern Maturity Center, where she met many new friends coming together to enjoy daily lunches and weekly dinner dances.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and attended Capeville United Methodist Church and Trinity Wesleyan Church in Dover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Perry Latimer, in 1981; and by her second husband, Gordon “Capt. Dick” Elliott, in 1994.
Mrs. Elliott is survived by a wonderful and steadfast companion, Frank McCoy of Dover; a son and daughter-in-law, W.K. Latimer and Gerry McNeill of Waldorf, Md.; two daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Dan Cornell of Dover and Nancy and John Leary of Whitehall, Pa.; two granddaughters, Katie Coughlin and Kristi Coughlin, of Whitehall; a brother and sister-in-law, Kendall and Jeanne Kellam of Huntsville, Texas; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
