FREDERICA - Coralie Julia Waishes Greenly of Frederica died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, in her home. She was 59.
Mrs. Greenly was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Edward A. and Janette (Potter) Waishes.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Greenly was a member of Frederica Adult Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Grover B. Schuler Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, John H. Greenly Jr.; two children and their spouses, Michelle and George Witman of Yelm, Wash., and John E. and Maureen Greenly of Newark; a sister and brother-in-law, Ginger Schuler and Dave Nichols of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, Edward, and his wife, Bonnie Waishes, and Robert Waishes, all of Milford; two grandchildren, Brentley Leitzell Witman and Jennifer Leitzell Witman; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight in Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Michael P. Guntick, 79
MILLSBORO - Michael P. Guntick of Millsboro, formerly of Linfield, Pa., died of heart failure Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. He was 79.
Mr. Guntick was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Korea.
He was a retired warehouse manager at Diamond Glass Co. in Royersford, Pa.
Mr. Guntick was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 28 of Riverdale/Oak Orchard in Millsboro, the VFW in Rehoboth Beach and a lifetime member of Linfield Fire Co.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Clare Guntick; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael P. Guntick Jr. and Patricia Guntick; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Mock and Forrest Mock Jr.; four grandchildren, Tanya McNamara, Ryan Mock, Airman Lisa Guntick and Mark Guntick; a great-granddaughter, Kristyn McNamara; and a stepsister, Roseanne Soltes of Pottstown, Pa.
Memorial services will be in Linfield at a later date.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association or to Indian River Volunteer Fire Co., Oak Orchard, DE 19958.

Margaret E. Meyers, 77
DENTON, Md. - Margaret E. Meyers of Denton, formerly of Greensboro, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, in Memorial Hospital at Easton, Easton. She was 77.
Mrs. Meyers was born in Baltimore, daughter of the late Joseph Arthurs Neilson Sr. and Sara Marbury Parker Neilson.
She moved to the Eastern Shore with her children in 1967. She had worked at Technotrol in Greensboro, retiring in 1990.
Mrs. Meyers was a past member of the Greensboro Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Susanna N. Hallam, in June 2000.
She is survived by five children, Sarah M. Fleck and Frank M. Meyers, both of Greensboro, John H. Meyers Jr. of Preston and Susan M. Luby and Margaret Ann M. Hunter, both of Easton; a brother, Joseph A. Neilson Jr. of Ellicott City; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Moore Funeral Home P.A., 12 S. Second St. in Denton, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Pallbearers will be Joseph G. White, John H. Meyers III, K. Parker Hallam, Larry Porter, Jeffrey Porter, Gregory Porter, Douglas O. Hunter II and Joseph C. Luby.
Burial will be in Denton Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Greensboro Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box 307, Greensboro, MD 21639.

Carol Ann Robinson, 62
CLAYTON - Carol Ann Robinson of Clayton died, after a long, hard struggle against cancer, Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 62.
Ms. Robinson worked for Taylor Marine in Milford as a bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Hale; her stepfather, William Eveleigh; and her husband, John Robinson.
She is survived by her mother, LaVerne Eveleigh of Clayton; a daughter, Marilyn J. Robinson of Ontario, Canada; a son, Ross A. Robinson of Ontario; a granddaughter, Stephanie Robinson of Ontario; a sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Edward Hardison of Ontario; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Melanie Hale of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada; and numerous cousins.
Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family.

Bernard Paige Brooks, 95
CLAYTON- Bernard Paige Brooks of Clayton died of natural causes Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in Courtland Manor Nursing Home, Dover. He was 95.
Mr. Brooks was born July 14, 1907, in Bowling Green, Va., son of the late Paige Hunter Brooks and Emma Clayton Brooks.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Brooks worked as a meat-cutter for 50 years before retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Blizzard Brooks, in 1983; a son, Richard Chapman, in 1989; and a daughter, Cecilia Merlo, in 1997.
He is survived by two sons, Bernard Brooks of Dover and William Payton of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Sandy Martin of Clayton; two sisters, Ruby Passwaters of Milton and Louise Beasley of Bowling Green; a daughter-in-law, Linda Chapman of Townsend; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Smyrna Wesleyan Church, 433 W. Mount Vernon St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna.

Mildred Ennis Biddle Dempsey, 90
FELTON - Mildred Ennis Biddle Dempsey of near Felton died of natural causes Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in Capitol Nursing Home, Dover. She was 90.
Mrs. Dempsey was born Oct. 3, 1912, in Dover, daughter of the late Elwood and Edna (Kemp) Marker.
She was the owner of E&M Bus Service and Ennis Luncheonette in Wyoming for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Elwood Ennis and John Biddle; three sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, William Dempsey; and several nieces and nephews.
Remembrance services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Trader Funeral Home in Dover, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Alzheimer's Disease Association, 2306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.

Paul Thomas Elliott, 74
DELMAR - Paul Thomas Elliott of Delmar died of natural causes Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in his home. He was 74.
Mr. Elliott was born in Delmar, son of the late J. Thomas and Lillian Calloway Elliott.
He was a graduate of Delmar High School.
He was engaged in farming his entire life, first with his father and brother, then, later, adding his son and nephew. He was a chicken grower for Perdue since 1963 and was in his 199th flock.
Mr. Elliott served on the board of directors of Laurel Grain and the Laurel Auction Block. For many years he was very active with the Laurel Southern States Cooperative. He was a member of St. George's United Methodist Church, where he served in numerous positions, including Sunday school superintendent and lay leader.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, who raised him from age 3, Cleo Otwell Elliott.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anna Mae Spear Elliott; a son and a daughter-in-law, Tommy and Debbie Elliott of Delmar; two daughters and a son-in-law, Beccy and Charles Fisher of Mount Vernon, Md., and Nancy Elliott of Laurel; four grandchildren, J.T., Lyndi, Heather and April; a brother, John W. Elliott of Delmar; a sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Russell Kirby of Milford; another brother-in-law, Robert Spear, and Mr. Spear's wife, Myrtle, of Laurel; four nieces; and three nephews.
Friends and family may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove St., Delmar.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The Revs. Ron Schatz, Woodrow Wilson and Wayne Musgrove will officiate.
Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 600 Du Pont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947.

William Frank Messick, 80
LAUREL - William Frank Messick of Laurel died, after a brief illness, Monday, May 5, 2003, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 80.
Mr. Messick was born March 4, 1923, in Laurel, son of the late Oscar and Marion Messick.
He attended Laurel schools.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Mr. Messick was retired, having been a grain and poultry farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Carmean and Doris Warrington.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sara A. Messick; a son, John B. Messick of Laurel; and an aunt, uncle and several nieces.
Friends may call from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday in the Short Funeral Home, 700 West St., Laurel.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Laurel. The Rev. Lemuel Hudson will officiate.

Charles D. Mosley, 63
BRIDGETON, N.J. - Charles D. Mosley of Bridgeton died Monday, May 5, 2003, in his home. He was 63.
Mr. Mosley was born in Lower Penns Neck Township, Salem County, N.J., son of the late David and Mary Ridgeway Mosley.
He had been a Bridgeton resident for most of his life.
Retired since June 2002, Mr. Mosley had been employed with the Tri-County Community Action Agency for 17 years. Prior to that, he had worked as a machinist with the Kassow Co. for 23 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and especially archery.
Mr. Mosley was a member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indian Tribe, Colonial Riders Motorcycle Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Carter, Raymond Mosley, Floyd Mosley and David Mosley; and three sisters, Florinda Corney, Dorothy Mosley and Naomi Pierce.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Skalski Mosley; a daughter and son-in-law, Arthalinda Dale and Leroy Pierce of Pittsgrove Township; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles "Chuck" and Danielle Mosley of Fairfield Township and Allen D. Mosley of Commercial Township; four stepsons, Felix Wilks of California, Ray Wilks of Bridgeton, Michael Wilks of Philadelphia and Eddie Wilks of Bridgeton; three stepdaughters, Helen Wilks of Ohio, Cindy Wilks and Mary Wilks, both of Bridgeton; a brother, Forrest Mosley of Smyrna, Del.; two sisters, Velma Loatmen of Greenwich and Charlotte Coward of Fairfield Township; six grandchildren, Beverly Pierce, Ashley Mosley, Arieonna Connerton Mosley, Adora Mosley, Marc Terron and Allie Jade Mosley; and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Payne.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township.
Services will be noon Saturday in the funeral home, where friends may also call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Township.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made in Mr. Mosley's memory to the Salem Head Start Playground Project, c/o Tri-County, 110 Cohansey Street, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.

John W. 'Bill' Penuel, 89
DELMAR - John W. 'Bill' Penuel of Delmar died Monday, May 5, 2003, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. He was 89.
Mr. Penuel was born in Delmar, Md., son of the late John J. and Hattie Brewington Penuel.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
After serving his time in the Army, Mr. Penuel worked at Esham's Hatchery in Pittsville, Md. for more than 25 years, and after the hatchery closed, he worked for the Delaware State Highway Department for about four years.
He was an avid gardener and he loved to travel. He loved his grandchildren very much and loved spending time with them and will be missed and remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Penuel was a member of Melsons United Methodist Church in Delmar, Md., an honorary member of Bi-State Ruritan Club and the Laurel Senior Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Hugh Penuel; and three sisters, Margaret Neal, Ruth Hastings and Irene Benson.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pearl E. Penuel; a daughter and son-in-law, Vivian E. and Greg Lowe of Delmar; two granddaughters, Christina Heck and her husband Andrew of Lakeville, Ind., and Kathy Lowe of Delmar; a brother and sister-in-law, Amos and Norma Penuel of Hebron;, Md.; four sisters, Amy Phillips of Georgetown, Catherine Ward of Laurel, Eva Evans of Salisbury and Lela Jones and her husband, Oliver of Millsboro, and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove St., Delmar, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Melson's Cemetery, Delmar, Md.

Leo Joseph Pinet, 75
HENDERSON, Md. - Leo Joseph Pinet of Henderson died of natural causes Friday, May 20, 2003, in his home. He was 75.
Mr. Pinet was born in March 11, 1928, in New Brunswick, Canada, son of the late John and Ida Chaison Pinet.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Pinet Jr.
He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Pinet and Sandra Skinner, both of Chestertown; and a sister, Lucienne Parent of Ontario, Canada.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro.

Susie 'Granny' Sartin, 83
NEWARK - Susie "Granny" Sartin of Newark died Monday, May 5, 2003, in the Christiana Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 83.
Ms. Sartin was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who know her.
She is survived by four children, Joyce Alfree, Manny O'Neal, Jim O'Neal and Ben Sartin; a sister, Catherine Chase; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Daniels & Hutchinson Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in the Townsend Cemetery, Townsend.

Samuel H. Sewall, 67
SEAFORD - Samuel H. Sewall of Seaford died Sunday, May 4, 2003, in his home. He was 67.
Mr. Sewall was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a school bus driver for the Seaford and Woodbridge school districts. He had also been a construction worker for most of his life.
Mr. Sewall was a member of the Seaford Moose Lodge.
He is survived by a son, James Paul Sewall of Crosby, Texas; three daughters, Judith Sewall-Coats of Pasadena, Md., Jamie Daigle of Crosby and Jackie Barnes of Seaford; two sisters, Tina Kirby of Ridgely Md. and Mary Ann Earle of Preston, Md.; two brothers, Samuel Sewall of Felton and Michael Sewall of South Carolina; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Seaford, Moose Lodge, Alt. U.S. 13.

Russell Taylor, 82
MILFORD - Russell Taylor of Milford departed this life for a heavenly home Saturday, May 3, 2003, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, after a short illness. He was 82.
Mr. Taylor was born April 20, 1921, son of the late Teany Lofland-Taylor and Haskin Taylor of Cedar Neck. He was one of 11 children.
He received his education in the Milford School District.
Mr. Taylor served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.
He worked for Wilkie's Upholstery in Milford. He opened his own business, Taylor's Upholstery. Many will remember him for his beautiful workmanship.
Mr. Taylor loved to cook and would constantly try to feed everyone who came to his home and found time to relax and enjoy his friends and family.
He was fondly known as "Pop" and Pop-Pop" by his children, grandchildren and friends of the family as he was a very lovable person.
Mr. Taylor attended Siloam A.M.E. Church in Slaughter Neck. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Milford for more than 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four children, Jeanette Bechwith, Joan Moore, Robert Henry and Tyrone Taylor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Ida Taylor; eight daughters, Teresa Bowers of Camden; Joyce Camp of Bronx, N.Y., Jereldene Taylor of Pennsylvania; Pamela Burton-Campbell of Atlanta, Ga,; Angel Taylor-Watson, Vicky Taylor and Denise Taylor, both of Dover; and Sherry Taylor of Milford; three sons, Ronald Burton, Russell Lee Taylor Jr. and Michael Taylor, all of Milford; two sons-in-law, Gordon Camp of Bronx, N.Y. and Randy Watson of Dover; a brother, William Hazzard Jr. of New Jersey; a sister, Mabel Steadman of Wilmington; 43 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Milford.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Wesley Chapel UMC, Slaughter Neck, where friends may call two hours earlier.
