Beatrice Ann Collins, 95
GUMBORO - Beatrice Ann Collins of Gumboro died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, in Green Valley Terrace, Millsboro. She was 95.
Mrs. Collins was born in Gumboro, daughter of the late William and Alice Evans Wilkerson.
Mrs. Collins was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur H. Collins in 1993 and by a son, Charles Williams Collins.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary A. Walker of Laurel and Nettie A. Littleton of Gumboro; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and seven adopted great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. James Langrall will officiate.
Burial will be in Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro.
Dorothy B. Haas, 63
SMYRNA - Dorothy B. Haas of Smyrna died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 63.
Mrs. Haas was employed by the town of Smyrna from 1957 to 1967. She was then employed by the Delaware Department of Transportation as an administrative assistant, retiring in 2000.
She enjoyed reading, cooking and gardening.
Mrs. Haas was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Smyrna, and was currently serving as a deacon. She had also served as an elder and clerk of session.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Kenneth and Alberta Blow.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James D. Haas; a brother, Donald K. Blow of Smyrna; two sisters, Charlotte Lenhoff of Clayton and Mary E. King of Chadds Ford, Pa.; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the First Presbyterian Church, 118 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call an hour earlier.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

Johnathan T. Hall, 22
HARRINGTON - Johnathan T. Hall of Harrington died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, in Independence, Va. He was 22.
Mr. Hall was born June 29, 1980 in Portsmouth, Va., son of Milton E. Hall and Carol Hall both of Harrington.
He worked for several landscapers.
He enjoyed NASCAR drawing, landscaping, camping, fishing and stock car races.
Mr. Hall attended Faith Community Church in Camden.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ernest Oros Sr. and his paternal grandparents, Milton and Sara Voshell.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Joshuah E. Hall of Harrington; his maternal grandmother, Dolores Dakin of Harrisville, Mich.; five uncles, George Voshell of Camden, Phillip Voshell of Rehoboth Beach, John Rajevich of Cool, Calif., Ernest Oros of Vacaville, Calif., and Jason Oros of Harrisville; four aunts, Sara Hall of Greensboro, Md., Francis Sampson of Marydel, Mary Ellen Debenedictis of Clayton and Debra Bullard of Tobyhanna, Pa.; and many cousins and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Barretts Chapel, U.S. 113, north of Frederica, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Lois Gurtrude Hertzler Hostetter, 89
GREENWOOD - Lois Gurtrude Hertzler Hostetter of Greenwood died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, in the home of her daughter. She was 89.
Mrs. Hostetter was born April 15, 1913 in Newport News, Va., daughter of the late Anna and Henry Hertzler.
On May 16, 1937, she married J. Virgil Hostetter and they had 63 happy years together.
She opened her home and her heart to many students, nurses, Bible school teachers, shelter care for teenage girls, and many more.
After moving to Greenwood she continued to enjoy her grandchildren, flowers and her garden.
Mrs. Hostetter was a member of the Greenwood Mennonite Church.
In addition to her parents and her husbandm she was preceded in death by three brothers, Menno, Milford and Arthur.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Marjorie H. and John Swartzentruber of Greenwood, Johnny and Mary Ann Hostetter of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Anna H. and Robert Glick of Atmore, Ala. and Robert and Nancy Hostetter of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Ruth Shank, Harry Hertzler, Edith Wenger, Osie Ziegler, Oliver Hertzler and Dora Brunk.
Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Greenwood Mennonite Church, Greenwood.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in the church, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Greenwood Mennonite Church.

Roger L. 'Charlie' Littleton, 41
MILLSBORO - Roger L. 'Charlie' Littleton of Millsboro died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, in his home. He was 41.
Mr. Littleton was born in Selbyville.
He was in the Delaware Army National Guard in Seaford for 14 years.
Mr. Littleton was a construction worker for Melvin L. Joseph Construction Co., Georgetown for the last seven years until March 2001 retiring due to illness.
Mr. Littleton was a member of the Laurel Saddle Friends and was the leader of the Sussex County East Riders where he organized horseback trail rides for the members of the club.
He is survived by his grandson, Zachary Lecates and his daughter, Tabitha Truitt, both of Millsboro; his wife from whom he was seperated, Janet Littleton of Laurel; his companion, Marilyn LaBee and her daughter, Kala LeBee, both of Millsboro; his parents, Ernest and Eleanor Littleton of Millsboro; three brothers, Ernest Littleton, Jr., Arthur Littleton, both of Millsboro, and Arlie Littleton of Laurel; four sisters, Bonnie Hughes of Greenwood, Barbara Jean Huffman of Georgetown and Evelyn Burkes of Long Neck and Mary Whaley of Millsboro.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday in Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the St. George's Church Cemetery, Clarksville.
Mr. Littleton had requested that those attending his funeral dress casually and wear their riding gear if they wish to.

Helen Hedwick Kupis Lobozzo, 82
NEW CASTLE - Helen Hedwick Kupis Lobozzo of New Castle died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, in Christiana Hospital. She was 82.
A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Lobozzo will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Rosemary.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph F. Lobozzo; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph E. and Elizabeth Lobozzo, Robert and Wilma Lobozzo, and David Lobozzo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donald and Alexandria Snyder and Michael and Theresa Lobozzo-Price; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. today in St. Hedwig's R.C. Church.
Burial will be in Gracelawn Cemetery.

Jessie Moore Moffett, 90
EASTON, Md. - Jessie Moore Moffett of Easton and Ocean City, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, in Genesis Eldercare - The Pines, Easton. She was 90.
Mrs. Moffett was born Sept. 12, 1912, in Baltimore, daughter of the late Robert D. and Jessie Bockmiller Moore.
She graduated from Chestertown High School in 1930.
From the late 1960s to the mid 1980s, she and her husband owned and operated an antique business, Moffett Cottage Antiques, in Ocean City.
Mrs. Moffett was a charter member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Easton, a member of the Ruth Circle of the United Methodist Women of the church, the Junior Auxiliary at Memorial Hospital and chairman of volunteers at the Diagnostic and Imaging Center, the Ladies Auxiliary of Talbot Post 70, the American Legion where she was a life member, and a member of the Charter Committee for the town of Ocean City. She was also a charter member and past president of the Quota Club of Ocean City and, at the time of her death, she was president of the Residents Council at Genesis Eldercare - the Pines, Easton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband whom she married in April 1933, Howard H. Moffett, on July 28, 1993.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia M. Hopkins of Salisbury and Kathryn M. Turner of Cranbury, N.J.; a brother, Robert D. Moore of Galveston, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Easton.
Burial will be held privately in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Easton.

Gail Stidham Stanley, 51
TOWNSEND - Gail Stidham Stanley of Townsend died, after a short illness, Sunday, May 18, 2003, in Christiana Hospital of Christiana Care in Newark. She was 51.
Mrs. Stanley was a 1970 graduate of Middletown High School.
She had been employed with Verizon and its predecessors, Bell Atlantic and Diamond State Telephone Co., for 32 years, most recently as a customer-relations specialist.
In her spare time, she loved traveling, especially to Florida, the Bahamas and Montana.
Mrs. Stanley mentored elementary-school children at the Martin Luther King School in Wilmington. She was past Democratic chairperson for the 28th Representative District, former treasurer for the Middletown Chamber of Commerce, a trustee of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Odessa, a member of the American Swedish Colonial Society and a member of the Cooch's Bridge chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah M. Stidham.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Howard W. Stanley III; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather S. and Ron Moore of Dover; a son, Greg S. Stanley of the family home; her parents, Gladys J. and C. Penrose Stidham of Odessa; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda S. and Skip Ringler of Middletown; two granddaughters, Kyra Moore and Kayla Moore; and a grandson, Cameron Moore.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Main Street, Odessa.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the church.
Burial will be in Old Drawyers Cemetery, Odessa.

Elizabeth Noll Waltemyer, 90
LEWES - Elizabeth Noll Waltemyer of Lewes, formerly of Dallastown, Pa., died Saturday, May 17, 2003, in the Lewes Convalescent Center. She was 90.
Mrs. Waltemyer was born Jan. 8, 1913, in Dallastown, the daughter of the late Edward F. and Clara (Wagman) Noll.
She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Lewes and a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dallastown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred H. Waltemyer Sr.; and a son, David Michael Waltemyer.
She is survived by a son, Alfred H. Waltemyer Jr. of Rehoboth Beach; a daughter, Beth Kristick of Reho-both Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Jude's Catholic Church, Lewes.
Burial will be in the Dallastown Union Cemetery.

Lucille Elizabeth Wetherill, 90
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Lucille Elizabeth Wetherill of Chestertown died Sunday, May 18, 2003, in Ches-tertown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chestertown. She was 90.
Mrs. Wetherill was born Dec. 1, 1912, in Swedesboro, N.J., daughter of the late John and Mae E. Costill Sailor.
She graduated from high school and resided in New Jersey, working as an underwriter for U.S.F.&G. and, later, D.A. Henderson and Co. She married William H. Wetherill in 1960 and, in 1970, moved to Chestertown, where she raised her family.
She enjoyed sewing, playing bridge and shopping.
Mrs. Wetherill attended First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia L. and Pic Renshaw of Chestertown; two grandchildren and their respective spouses, William H. Radford Jr. and Karla Radford of Smyrna, Del., and Donna L. and Lenny Fletcher of Chestertown; and six great-grandchildren, Jason, Jayde, Jennifer, Christopher, Kayla and Sydney.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, where relatives and friends may call one-half hour earlier.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery near Chestertown.

Fredericka Sigel Whalen, 91
SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Fredericka Sigel Whalen of Sudlersville died of heart failure Saturday, May 17, 2003, in the Kent and Queen Anne's Hospital, Chestertown. She was 91.
Mrs. Whalen was born in Talheim, Germany, daughter of the late Johann and Barbara Blaier Sigel.
She came to America in 1927 and May 23, 1933, married the late Jesse Sharp Whalen. They lived in Boothwyn, Pa. until the early 1980s at which time, they moved to the Sudlersville area.
She worked for many years as a seamstress for the Elwyn School.
Mrs. Whalen loved to garden and enjoyed her flowers. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, but the most important thing in her life was her family. She enjoyed spending time with all of them and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Barbara Whalen and James Hudson of West Chester, Pa.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse George and Peggy Whalen of Sudlersville and James Vernon and Nancy Whalen of Crumpton; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

ODESSA - Shirley A. David of Odessa died of a heart attack Friday, May 18, 2001, in her home. She was 67.
She is survived by a sister, Jean Fawcett of Wilmington; a foster sister, Blanche S. Bailey; three foster brothers, Joseph M. Shetzler, Edward A. Shetzler and James Earl Shetzler; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 8 p.m. Thursday at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown.

Nora E. Wagner Draper, 102
MAGNOLIA - Nora E. Wagner Draper of Magnolia died of natural causes Saturday, May 19, 2001, in Silver Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dover. She was 102.
Mrs. Draper was born Oct. 18, 1898, in Viola, daughter of the late William A. & Catherine (Farlow) Wagner.
She was a homemaker who helped her husband in his grain-brokerage business in Magnolia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Draper, in 1965; four brothers, Ammon Wagner, Norman Wagner, Joseph Wagner and Howard Wagner; and a sister, Mabel Wagner.
She is survived by a sister, Gwendolyn W. Smith of Dover; a niece, Rhae Konschak of Dover; a great-nephew, William R. Konschak of Baltimore; a great-great niece, Madelyn Rigney-Konschak of Baltimore; and a host of other nieces & nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Elizabeth S. Frye, 77
GEORGETOWN - Elizabeth S. Frye of Georgetown, and formerly of Wilmington, died of natural causes Saturday, May 19, 2001, in her home. She was 77.
Mrs. Frye was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Lewes and a former member of Hockessin United Methodist Church in Hockessin. She served on the Junior Board of Wilmington Hospital, and for the past 12 years was a patient-care volunteer for Delaware Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren H. Frye, in 1987.
She is survived by three daughters and three sons-in-law, Cheryl and Jay Meyer of Middletown, Polly and Marc Marcus of Newark and Lorna and Don Hearn of Georgetown, with whom she lived; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Dora Short of Georgetown; and 11 grandchildren, Kelly Davis Kline, J. Tyler Davis and Shauna Davis, Erica Carmean, Ryan Carmean, Kristin Varell Herritage, Geoffrey Varell, Darren Hearn and John Hearn, Keri Meyer and Marc Meyer.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. 4th St., Lewes, with the Rev. David Palmer officiating.
Burial will be private in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.

Amanda Pauline Harrington, 91
CAMDEN - Amanda Pauline Harrington of Camden died of pneumonia Friday, May 18, 2001, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 91.
Mrs. Harrington was born Dec. 29, 1909, in Wyoming, daughter of the late Gertrude Cahall Quillen and Zeddie Quillen.
She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Caesar Rodney School District and retired from the W.B. Simpson Elementary School.
Mrs. Harrington was a member of the Rising Sun Community Club and also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dover.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry S. Harrington, Jan. 7, 1992.
She is survived by three sons, Allen L. Harrington of Willow Grove, James Hunter of Smyrna and Howard Harrington of Pawley's Island, S.C.; a daughter, Ann Knight of Camden; three brothers, Gilbert Quillen of Dover, Robert Quillen of Newberry, Fla., and Ray C. Quillen of Hope Sound, Fla.; a sister, Grace George of Wilmington; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one and one-half hours prior to the service.
Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Eva Mae Naumann, 84
MILLSBORO - Eva Mae Naumann of Millsboro, and formerly of Towson, Md., died of heart failure Friday, May 18, 2001, in Harbor Health Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility in Lewes. She was 84.
Mrs. Naumann was a retired real-estate agent.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison M. Naumann, in 1985.
She is survived by a son, Harrison M. Naumann Jr. of Millsboro.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Ruck Funeral Home, 1050 York Road, Towson.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Parkwood Cemetery in Baltimore.
