Marvin Gainey
Mr. Marvin Gainey of Harrison, Michigan passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at the Arbor Hospice Residence. He was 66 years old and a veteran of the US Air Force. He was born in Cross City, FL.
He is survived by four children, Keith (Dana) Gainey, Kevin (Elena) Gainey, Kellie (Ken) Davis and Dale (Kristi) Gainey; 9 grandchildren, Kory, Travis, Taylor, Troy, Yulia, Brianna, Keegan, William and Natalie; sister, Cozen Ridgeway of Fanning Springs; brother, Sidney Gainey of Cross City. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Martin and Florence Gainey; brothers, Albert Gainey, John Martin Gainey, Sylvester Gainey, George Gainey, Hal Gainey, Vic Weeks and Frank Weeks; sisters, Inez Bennett, Margie Nash, Eva Lee, Annie Bell McCullen and Gladys McCulllen.
A Graveside service was held Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 3:00 PM at New Prospect Cemetery with Rev. Leon Cooper residing. Burial arrangements have been placed under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City, FL 352-498-5400.
Wilfred Hansird Hollon
Mr. Wilfred Hansird Hollon of Old Town passed away on Friday, December 9, 2005 at the VA Hospital in Gainesville. He was 79 years old and a 27 year veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a Command Sergeant Major.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hollon of Old Town; daughter, Bonnie Bosse of Irmo, South Carolina; sons, Harry Hollon of Oviedo, FL, Billy Hollon of Troy, Alabama and Bruce Hollon of Old Town, FL; brother, J.L Hollon of Lakeland, FL; sister, Virginia Brown of Winter Garden, FL; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchildren.

Peggy Ann Manire
On February 7, 2006 Peggy Ann Manire; a Bright morning star, Daughter of God, in all of her kindness, gentleness, Love, and care was beckoned Home by her Father. To be in His arms so that her loving Grace and Spirit could touch the hearts and minds of Her loved ones, she had to leave behind. Peggy will be missed here on Earth as all gentle souls are. Her essence of Love and Grace will be a blessing to all who are gathered to welcome her home.
Peggy was a member of Countryside Christian Church in Warner Robins, GA. She was steadfast in Her Faith in Jesus Christ.
Peggy is survived by her Husband Charles Edward Manire Jr. of Warner Robins, GA; her children Deborah Selby of Macon, GA, Barbara Thoroughman of Prattville, AL, Charles Manire III of Macon, GA and Michael Manire of Bonaire, Ga. Her sister's Erma Haynes of Alachua, FL, Kathy Lee of Alachua FL, and her brother Joe Sonny Driggers of Jacksonville, FL; and her grandchildren Julie and Debra Thoroughman of Prattville, AL Courtney Powell of Macon, GA. Chuckie Manire of Macon, GA. Emily Manire, Corey Manire, Sean Manire, Jesse Manire, and Jordan Manire all of Bonaire GA.
Funeral Services were be held at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Highway 19, Cross City Florida on Saturday, February 11, 2006. A viewing was held from 6-8pm on February 10, 2006.

Toni W. Hatch
Mrs. Toni W. Hatch of Cross City passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at North Florida Regional Hospital after a short illness.
Toni, who was 44 years old, was born to Kenneth and Wanda Hodge Wester in Mayo, FL on September 3rd, 1961. She graduated from Dixie County High School in 1979. She had worked in many aspects of banking for a long time but her greatest joy was being a mother, putting her family and God above all else. She was a member of the Church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Hatch and son Tyson Hatch both of Cross City; mother, Wanda Wester of Cross City; brother Kenny (Tina) Wester of Cross City and sister, Annette (Steve) Ward of Cross City. She is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Wester.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 3pm at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Owen Baynard officiating. Burial followed in Old Town Cemetery. A visitation was held Friday evening, February 10, 2006 between the hours of 6 and 8 pm.

Jimmie Russell Connell
Mr. Jimmie Russell Connell of Old Town passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He was 79 years old. Mr. Connell moved here in 1982 from Clewiston, FL. He worked for many years in the US Sugar industry as a welder and retired in 1965.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Connell of Old Town; son, Carlton Connell of Wacissa, FL; daughter, Annette Morison of Old Town; step-daughters, Sherry Hesters, Mindy Zwak and Melissa Konkol all of Old Town; brothers, Clyde Connell of Tallahassee and Noah Connell of Old Town; sisters, Pauline Rudell of Wacissa, FL, Orene Smith of Monticello, FL and Eldie Sauls of Monticello, FL; 2 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.

Linda Ann Timmons
Linda Ann Timmons, 43 of Old Town, Fl. passed away Friday, January 27, 2006 in Hernando County, Fl. She was born in Leesburg, Fl. and moved from Bushnell to Old Town 2 years ago. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include, sons, Thomas A. Moody of Wildwood, Fl., Billy Joe Timmons of Okeechobee, Fl. and Robby Clinton Fudge of Lake Panasoffkee, Fl; daughters, Brandy L. (Larry) Lewis of Lake Panasoffkee, Fl., Tiki M. Albritton of Trenton, Fl., Tabitha Moody of Old Town, Fl., Tina Marie Fudge of Lake Panasoffkee, Fl. and Jessie Judith Fudge also of Lake Panasoffkee, Fl; brother, Thomas Duane Gough Jr. of Bushnell, Fl; sisters, Cindy Nash and Sandy Gough both of Lake Panasoffkee, Fl; father, Thomas D. Gough Sr. of Lake Panasoffkee, Fl; and granddaughters Kaylee Ann Lewis of Lake Panasoffkee, and Jessica Michelle Jones of Old Town, Fl.
She was preceded in death by her mother Judith Ann (Sparks) Gough in 1998.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2006 from 6-8 P.M. at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel in Bushnell, Fl. Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2006 at 8:00 P.M. at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel as well.

Lorine Jean Judkins
Mrs. Lorine Jean Judkins of Old Town passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the Tri County Haven Hospice Care Center in Chiefland. She was 65 years old and a life time resident of Dixie County. She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her sons, James Jerry Farina of Deltona, FL, Edwin Lewis Jackson, Jr. of Cedar Key, FL, and Edward Mark Jackson of Deltona, FL; sisters, Evelyn McClary of Old Town, FL, and Dorothy Brooke of Sanford, FL; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A funeral service for Mrs. Judkins was held Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Vernon Coombs officiating. Burial followed at the Cross City Cemetery. A visitation was held Friday, January 27, 2006.
