Arlene Mae Anttila
Arlene Mae Anttila , age 75 of Billings, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 24, 2006.
She was born April 1, 1929 to Harry and Ureta Dingwall on her great-grandmother’s farm near Killdear, North Dakota. She spent her early years on a farm in Grassy Butte, ND and graduated from Killdeer High School in 1947.
Arlene spent many years working in PTA, Scouting and Navy Mothers and worked 30 years as an election judge. She also worked for 12 years for Samplers Plus until suffering a stroke.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ureta Dingwall, an infant daughter, Vivian Kay, a son, Kevin and two granddaughters, Jennifer Churchill and Tiffany Barrett.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley of Billings, four children, Vern (Sheri) Anttila of Laurel, MT, Sheryl (Mark) Shockley of Billings, Brian Anttila of Billings, and Karen (Art) Wyckoff of Cross City, FL, her brother, Leslie Dingwall of Ellendale, ND, her beloved grandchildren, John (Samantha) Anttila, Jeff Anttila, Jerrod Anttila, Jason (Kadie) Foss, Troy (Roxanne) Shockley, Vivienne Shockley, Eric (Samantha) Shockley, Michael (Michelle) Churchill, Tracy Barrett and Clinton Barrett. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Walker Anttila, Katlyn Churchill and Elisabeth Rose Shockley.
Danny Ray Wilson
Mr. Danny Ray Wilson of Old Town passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006. He was 39 years old. He attended New Prospect Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Wilson of Lake Butler; mother, Nell Muzzareli of Old Town; father, John Wilson of Old Town; sons, Cody Wilson and Tyler Wilson both of Old Town; brothers, Howard Davis and James Davis both of Old Town, William Wilson and Patrick Wilson, both of Cross City; sisters, Susan Williams of Steinhatchee and Weida Hillenburg of Cross City; and maternal grandmother, Louise Dunnam of Old Town.
Funeral Services were held Monday, February 6, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Robson and Rev. Jackie Pettrey officiating. Burial followed at the New Prospect Baptist Cemetery. A visitation was held Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home.

Mose Franklin (MF) Thomas
Mr. Mose Franklin (MF) Thomas of Old Town passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. He was 78 years old. He was born on May 20, 1927 to Lula and Delmer Thomas of Bell, FL. He lived in the Tri-County area all of his life and worked with Georgia Pacific 19 years before retiring in June, 1986. He belonged to the Dixie Hunting Club and the Ray Sawmill Hunting Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mary P. (Pat) Thomas of Old Town; sons, Michael Thomas (Pam) of Old Town, Corky Thomas (Nancy) of Old Town, Luther Clemmon (Nancy) of Lake City, FL, Ladd Clemmons of Old Town; adopted sons, John Creamer and Lenton Grimes both of Old Town; daughters, Gidget Kimbrell (JR) of Old Town, Bridget Grimes (Clifton) of Old Town, Angie Dendly (Shorty) of Chiefland, Anita Jane Thomas of Ocoee, TN, Tonya Lolley of Marianna, FL; sister, Lillian Clemons of Old Town; sister-in-law, Idella Wimberley of Old Town; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas were held Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Scrub Creek Baptist Church in Cross City, FL with Rev. Royce Hanshew and Jr. Campbell officiating. Burial followed at the Scrub Creek Cemetery. A visitation was held Friday, February 3, 2006 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chapel.

Samuel James Chesser
Samuel James Chesser, 70, of Old Town, Florida passed away January 26, 2006. Born in Columbus, Georgia, he moved to the Old Town area from Riverview, Florida in February of 1993.
Mr. Chesser is survived by his wife Marsha Chesser of Old Town; daughters, Amber Hyder of Kenansville, FL, Dorsi Hyder and Amanda Hyder, both of Old Town; brother James “Butch” Chesser of Riverview, FL, and four grandchildren.

Christopher Michael Abare
Christopher Michael Abare of Old town passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006 as the result of an automobile accident in Old Town. He was 18 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Anne Abare of Old Town, grandparents, Tom and Betty Claire of Old Town; sisters, Samantha Abare Gath of Old Town and Amanda Abare of Gainesville; and brother Matthew Hummel of Old Town.
A Memorial Service was held Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Cross City.

Richard Arthur Sickler
Richard Arthur Sickler of Old Town passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at the Palm Garden of Gainesville. He was 82 years old and a member of the Rock Sink Baptist Church in Old Town. Mr. Sickler moved here in 1978 from Fallf, Pennsylvania. He was a self employed carpenter and enjoyed gardening
He is survived by his sons, Richard Sickler, Jr. of Old Town, William M. Sickler of Old Town, Ronald A. Sickler of Palm Bay and Todd T. Sickler of Old Town; brother Walter M. Sickler of Fallf, PA; sister Peggy Weeks of Summerville, NJ; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, June Sickler and daughter Patricia Sickler.
A graveside service for Mr. Sickler was held on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at the Rock Sink Baptist Church Cemetery at 10:00 AM with Rev. Terry Cranford officiating.

Billie Cook
Billie Cook, age 77, of Cross City, FL passed away November 24, 2005 in Cross City. She was born in Ft. Roker, Alabama and was a retired Psychology Technician employed by the State of California. She moved here from California in 1983.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Cook and is survived by daughter, Evelyn J. Olivera of Livermore, California; sister, Alean Fairchild of Alabama; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Internment at Maple Park Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
