Age: 82
Born in Albany, N.Y., she lived in New Jersey and Florida for many years before moving to Ticonderoga, N.Y., where she became a painter and needlecraft artist. She volunteered daily at the Montcalm Manor Nursing Home and did other volunteer work in the community, for which she was given a governor’s commendation from the state of New York. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David H. Vanderwart in 1973, and her second husband, John H. Gaul.
She is survived by daughters Mary (James) Wells of Tarrytown, N.Y., Pam (Dan) Otis of Jacksonville Beach and Nancy (Jim) Grote of New York City; granddaughters Val Gargano and Lee Francis, and one great-grandson. Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach.
Timothy Doyle Johnson Jr.
Died: Monday, February 09, 2004
Johnson was 17 months old. He is survived by his mother, Amanda Meier; brother Jacob Meier; sister Miranda Meier, and grandmother Janet Meier, all of Atlantic Beach, and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. today, Feb. 13, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, with a funeral at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ponte Vedra Valley cemetery.
Frances Carroll Hagler

Age: 88
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, in the chapel of Beach United Methodist Church, Third Street at Seventh Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach.
Naomi Koenig Davis
Died: Thursday, January 29, 2004
Age: 78
Born July 22, 1925, she moved to Jacksonville Beach in 1957 from Chicago. Know by many as “Nonie, ” she was active in local civic affairs as a charter member and past president of Baptist Medical Center-Beaches Auxiliary and a founding member and counselor for Jacksonville’s Suicide Prevention Center.
A member of Christ Episcopal Church, Ponte Vedra Beach, she taught confirmation and was a youth sponsor for many years and initiated the first Episcopal Church Woman’s Spring Retreat in 1980, which continues to be an annual event.
She was an artist and musician and played piano regularly at Pablo Towers and Vicar’s Landing. She hosted Bible home fellowships for many years and for the last 17 years had Bible lessons on Wednesdays at St. Mary’s Outreach in Springfield. She also was a member of a Bible study and prayer group at the Beach for the last 14 years. She led many spiritual retreats in the Diocese of Florida and abroad.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; children Carol (Keith), Jamie (Ben), Bill Jr. (Melissa) and Richard (Marcia); grandchildren Sean, Patrick, Danny, Anna, Kristie, Whitney and Palmer, and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, Ponte Vedra Beach, at 11 a.m. Feb. 21. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Community Hospice of Jacksonville. National Cremation Society, Jacksonville.
Harrison Doward Ford
Died: Wednesday, March 31, 2004
Age: 77
He was born March 16, 1927, in Milwaukee to Harrison Franklin Ford and Lucretia Dorward Ford.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He graduated from Colgate University and the University of Wisconsin School of Law. He retired to Naples, Fla., in 1987, following a long career as District Counsel for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. While in Naples, he was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. In June 2003, he moved to the Jacksonville area to be closer to his family.
Family members include his sons, Marshall Harrison Ford of Dunwoody, Ga., James Michael Ford of Winter Springs, Fla.; daughters, Julie Ford Frye of Ponte Vedra Beach, Stephanie Ford Blache of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren and Molly Ford of Winter Springs, McKenzie and Marshall Frye of Ponte Vedra Beach, Anna, Noelle, Sydney and Harrison Ford of Dunwoody. His brother, John Dorward Ford, predeceased him.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 3, in the Christ Episcopal Church of Ponte Vedra Beach with the Rev. Gerry Walston, officiating, followed by a reception in the courtyard. Private family Inurnment will be in the Memorial Garden of Christ Episcopal Church prior to the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3901 Davis Blvd., Naples, FL, 34104.

Thomas Richard Razzani
Died: Tuesday, March 30, 2004
Age: 74
He was born in North Tonawanda, N.Y., and moved to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1992 from Alden, N.Y. He spent 25 years in his own business as a hairstylist and worked in sales while in Jacksonville. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. He was also a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of Jacksonville Beach.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Family members include his wife of 39 years, Sharon Proefrock Razzani; son, Rick Louis (Darlene) Razzani of San Diego; daughter, Kelly (Paul) Edwards of Jacksonville; brother, Anthony Razzani of Riverside, Calif; sisters, Sylvia Curtis of Rochester, N.Y., Delores Habermehl of Debary, Fla., Alberta Blasz of Eden, N.Y. and Janice Makey of North Tonawanda and grandchildren, Louis Russell Razzani, Ashley Celeste Razzani, Anna Elizabeth Edwards and Kate Lynne Edwards.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 2, in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 3 in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home with the Rev. William Kelly as celebrant.

Jacksonville, Florida - Marian Campbell Graham, 83, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Marian was born on May 18, 1929 in Marietta, GA to the late Straten and Rachel Campbell. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Jack Graham. Marian is survived by her daughters Katrina (Doug) Short, Linda (Darrall) Criswell, Jackie (Joe) Tucker; grandchildren Bethany (Nathan) Carr, Carlie (Kevin) Yeager; great-grandchildren Austin and Dentyn. BARNHART, Sara Jane, beloved wife, mother and friend, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 20, 2011. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Chuck Barnhart, Sr. and children: Chuck Jr.(Juliet), Tim (Sonya), Bob (Sherri), Guy (Michelle), Billy(Paula), Danny (Lori), & Beth (Edward), 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, mother Ellen Dillmore, sister Doris (Denis) Capo, brothers Ed (Phyllis) & William (Jean) Dillmore & sister-in-law Joey Dillmore. preceded in death by father H. CAPT. GRISWOLD L. MOELLER, CEC, USN (RET)
June 7, 1942 – October 17, 2011
Capt. Griswold L. Moeller died from natural causes on October 17, 2011 at Fleet Landing, Atlantic Beach, FL. Born in San Diego, CA. to RADM and Mrs. L. N. Moeller, he grew up traveling the world s a Navy junior. After graduation from High School in Honolulu, HI he attended the University of Hawaii for one year prior to entering the US Naval Academy in 1938. He graduated in December 1941 with the class of ’42 and went to the USS Saratoga, CV 3 where he saw duty in the Southwest Pacific Theater of operations. In 1944 he went to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1946 with a BS and MS in Civil Engineering and transferred to the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps. His various duty stations in the Navy included stops on Wake Island; Pearl Harbor, HI; London, England and Annapolis, MD where he returned to his alma mater as the Public Works Officer. He retired after 26 years of service as the Commanding Officer Northeast Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command; Boston, MA. During his career he received numerous personal decorations and campaign awards. After retirement he worked in the Boston area for Polaroid Corp before accepting an appointment as the Commissioner of Sanitation for the City of New York from Mayor John V. Lindsay in 1968. He served as the Commissioner of Sanitation for the nation’s largest city for four years before leaving to joining an Engineering firm in Northern Virginia. He subsequently retired in 1985 and moved to Daytona Beach, FL and later moved to Fleet Landing, Atlantic Beach, FL in 1991. His wife of 57 years, Carolyn M. Moeller preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons RMDL Robert Moeller, CEC, USN, ret (Elizabeth) and William G. Moeller (Janice); Sister Mrs. Wm. Arnold; Grandchildren Jeffrey R. Moeller (Julie); Loren M. Carson (James); Amy D Moeller and LT. Erik N. Moeller, USN ret (Krista) and four great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for October 24, 2011 at Fleet Landing. He will be interred at Arlington National cemetery with his wife. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Fleet Landing, especially the caregivers at the Assisted Living facility, and the Nurses of Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
