She was born in Missouri, and resided at the Beaches most of her life. She attended the Church of Worship.
She leaves behind her son, James (Vickie) Simpson; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Duke (Delores) Harrison, James Wyse, Glenn (Connie) Wyse Jr. and Danny (Lydia) Wyse; sister, Deidra L. Harrison; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Lee Braswell, her parents, Samuel and Camille Harrison, Glenn Wyse Sr., Bonnie Stanton, brother, Dennis Wyse, sister, Miriam Blackburn and her niece, Terry Lanier.
A Christian burial in celebration of her Life will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, in the "Devotion Gardens" of Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd., with Pastors Kris Fulkenberry and Helen Gregory officiating.

Mr. Raymond R., Wollitz
June 5, 1924 - July 17, 2012
Jacksonville, Florida - Raymond R. Wollitz, 88, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Raymond was an active member of Christ Fellowship of Northeast Florida. He loved the Lord and until his health began to fail, was very involved in church activities. He was very proud to have served his country during WWII as a Seabee in the US Navy. He was a police officer with the Jacksonville Sherriff's Department until consolidation. He formed Wollitz Builders, Inc., which is celebrating 45 years of construction in the Jacksonville Area. Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Dale; his parents, brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Raymond Wollitz, Jr., (Cuc) of Kingsland, GA and Stephen Wollitz of Jacksonville, FL; step-son, Michael Clyburn (Tonya) of Etowah, NC; sister, Wilma Allen of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Holly Wollitz, Jennifer Wollitz, Emily Williams (Dave), Ashley Wollitz, Andrew Clyburn, Matthew Clyburn, Kelly Clyburn and Amy Clyburn; and three great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. A celebration of Raymond's life will follow at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond's honor to Vitas Hospice or NE Florida Community Hospice.
Edmund Joseph Bingle Jr.
Died: Saturday, June 11, 2005
He was born Jan. 16, 1954 in Plainfield, N.J.
Bingle was a career Marine who was medically retired in 1989. He was married
for 31 years.
Bingle had three daughters and a granddaughter. He was recently blessed with a son-in-law and a grandson. He loved cars and computers and was always working on one or the other. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was very generous and was known to "order" his Marines at holidays to come to his house if they had nowhere else to go.
Family members include his wife, Wendy Bingle; brother, Corey Bingle; sisters, Bonnie Laugle and Marie Bingle; daughters, Melanie Bingle, Tiffany Bingle and Stephanie Bingle-Showalter; sons-in-law David Showalter and Michael Marsh; granddaughter Natalie; grandson Gage; grandchild Edwina Josephina; uncle, Robert Bingle; mother, Ruth Bingle; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held today, Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home with the Reverend William Kelly as Celebrant, followed by interment in Beaches Memorial Park cemetery of Atlantic Beach.

Marian Gloria Broadus
Died: Saturday, June 11, 2005
Age: 73
Her parents were Joel and Nettie Hall. She was born in Millegville, Ga., on Aug. 3, 1932. During her childhood she lived in Jacksonville.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Patrick Lee Broadus; two children Patricia Ellis (Frank) of Las Vegas and Joel Matthew Broadus (Micki) of St. Augustine; eight grandchildren, Frank IV, Kyle, Emily, Sarah, Betsy, Mary Litt (Evan), and great grandson Evan Jr., all of Las Vegas; Jade and Stefan Broadus of St. Augustine. Brother and sister-in-laws include Loren Broadus Jr. (Catherine) of Lexington, Ky.; Ted Broadus (Della) of Arlington, Texas; Andy Broadus (Linda) of Arlington, Texas.
She retired from Fletcher Land Corporation, where she was employed for more than four years, as vice president. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1950 and enjoyed her membership and friendship in the Jackson Jills, Marsh Landing Country Club and The Lodge and Club at Ponte Vedra.
She enjoyed membership at First Christian Church of the Beaches and at the time of her death was a member of Palm's Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville Beaches. Memorial service and reception were held at Palm's Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville Beaches on Tuesday with the Rev. Dr. John Hibbard officiating.

Matthew Charles Garver
September 24, 1992 - January 28, 2014
GARVER - Matthew Charles Garver, 21, of Albany, Georgia passed away suddenly Tuesday evening January 28, 2014. Matthew was born in Jacksonville, Fl on September 24, 1992. He was the son of Ralph Henry Garver, Jr., and Blanche Hoffman Mills both of Jacksonville, Florida. Matthew spent most of his young life growing up in Albany, Ga. He was a quiet and thoughtful young man who loved fishing and anything outdoors. Matthew was attending Albany Technical College this year and looking forward to new beginnings. Those who knew Matthew loved him and his memories will long be cherished by friends and family. He is survived by his Grandmother BJ Kearns of Albany, Georgia, his parents, Ralph Garver, Jr. and Blanch Hoffman Mills both of Jacksonville, Florida, his aunt Jane McElroy of Tallahassee, Florida, sisters Megan Garver and Margaret Price, Jacksonville and cousin Alicia (Keith) Veronesi and her children Max and Cooper of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his loving “MeMa”, Vera Garver and grandfather Ralph Henry Garver, Sr., of Jacksonville, Fl. and grandfather Russell Rogers of Albany, Ga. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Carl Edwards Reynolds
Died: Friday, June 10, 2005
Age: 85
He was born Dec. 12, 1919 in Norfolk, Virginia. Raised in Jacksonville Beach, he joined the Army Air Corps in 1941 and served in World War II. He spent 30 years in civil service at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio. He devoted many years to the youth sports programs in Fairborn Little League Park.
He retired to New Smyrna Beach, Florida in 1975 where he worked several years for the utilities commissions before moving to Clermont in 2004. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having served in many different capacities.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bettye (Haight) Reynolds, children; Carl E. Jr. (wife Debbie) of Clermont, Bob (wife Deb) of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Jean (husband Ken) Burgess of Clermont and Bill (wife Linda), of Mt. Dora; 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3001 Apopka Vineland Road Orlando, Florida 32835. Interment followed in Edgewater New Smyrna cemetery in Edgewater, Florida.

Thomas Peter Mitrakos
Died: Thursday, June 09, 2005
Age: 58
Born in Sparta, Greece, and raised in Jamaica Queens, N.Y., he called Northeast Florida home for the last 17 years.
He served four years in the Air Force as a sergeant, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. He later received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado in Denver.
He retired in 2003 after working 24 years for the Bureau of Reclamations and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Elinor; son, Damon; daughter, Natalie; parents, Peter and Stella; sister, Georgia; and brother, Nicholas.
A celebration of his life will be held at 295 S. Roscoe Blvd., Ponte Vedra Beach, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18. A memorial mass will be held in Rochester, N.Y., for family and friends, and a private local memorial service will be held at a later date.

Rodney H. King
Died: Thursday, June 09, 2005
Age: 80
The son of John Madison and Gladys Littlefield King, he was born in Jacksonville on Sept. 28, 1924. He was the grandson of William Henry King, the founder of Kingsland, Ga.
He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1942. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre as a member of the 821st Military Police Battalion. He was an honor graduate of the University of Florida, a member of Scabbard and Blade and president of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He then attended the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service prior to his appointment as a diplomatic courier with the U.S. State Department. As a courier, he had the privilege of traveling in 106 different countries. He retired from The Prudential Insurance Company following 31 years of service.
He was a member of Palms Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville Beach. He served many years on the Board of Directors of the Child Guidance Clinic as a member and president. He loved tennis and had played on teams at Selva Marina, the Prudential, Sugar Mountain and Ponte Vedra.
Family members include his wife of 53 years, June Bowden King; two daughters, Robin (Randy) Austin of Ho Chi Mingh City, Vietnam, and Lori Gruver of Ponte Vedra Beach; one son, Rod (Karen) King Jr. of Naples; six grandchildren; and his little dog, Coco.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home with the Reverend Carol DiGiuisto of Palms Presbyterian Church, officiating. A celebration of his life will follow in the Fellowship Hall of Palm's Presbyterian Church. Interment will be private.
The family requests that, if so desired, memorials be made to the Child Guidance Clinic, 5776 St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville, Fla. 32207, or the Palms Presbyterian Church Oasis fund, 3410 South 3rd St., Jacksonville Beach, Fla. 32250.

Walter Allen "Coach" Harrell
Died: Thursday, June 09, 2005
He was born April 5, 1931, in Montgomery, Ala., and moved to the Jacksonville area in 1957.
Allen was a graduate of Starke Military Academy High School, Montgomery, Ala., and Troy State University, having earned athletic scholarships to both schools. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he taught in the Duval County School System for 35 years. He coached football, baseball, golf and physical education at Robert E. Lee, Jean Ribault and Duncan U. Fletcher High Schools, serving in various positions including head coach, athletic director and student activities director. After retiring from teaching and coaching he worked at the City of Jacksonville Beach Golf Club for six years. A day never went by that he wasn't reunited with former teachers, coaches, students, players and golfing buddies. He truly loved the game of golf and played as often as he could.
Family members include his wife of 51 years, Jackie; sons, Brinkley (Beth) Harrell of Panama City and Bradley (Ellen) Harrell of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, Meredith and Rob of Charlotte and Alexandra and William of Panama City; and one brother, Meredith (Jo) Harrell of Montgomery.
The family received friends June 13 in the Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home Jacksonville Beach. A memorial service was held June 14 at the Beach United Methodist Church, Jacksonville Beach, with the Reverend Tim Machtel officiating.
According to family, "Coach" truly loved his profession, teaching and coaching. His students were all special to him. He would say, "To have a friend, you have to be one first." In his memory, the family has requested donations to the church of choice or to a favorite charity.

Mr. Walley Franklin Harvey, Jr.
May 30, 1920 - July 17, 2012
Jacksonville, Florida - Walley F. Harvey (Red) Jr., 92, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and caring friend to all who knew him. Walley is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Harvey and son Spencer Harvey. He was a huge Gator fan and loved fishing, golf and was the owner of Lake Forest Auto Parts. Walley is survived by his son Troy (Judy) Harvey; grandchildren Jennifer (Brian) Keller, Samantha Gill and Scott Harvey; three great-grandchildren. Family will recieve friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and a funeral service to follow at 2:00pm. Interment will follow.
