RICHARDS - Willie Lee Richards, a resident of 1702 North Myrtle Ave., passed May 9, 1998. He was a member of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 2407 Division St., Rev. L. Thomas, Pastor. He is survived by a devoted wife, Mary E. Richards; sons, James Richards, Larry Richards; daughters, Nancy Brown, Doris Moore-Bailey (Beverly), Lois Rhoden (Gregory), Edna Denise Brown; goddaughter, Patricia Fogle; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at his church and the interment will be held in Restlawn Memorial Park. ROBERTS - Funeral services for Mrs. Alyce O. Roberts will be held Thursday, May 14, 1998 at 11:00 AM in the Rosa Glover Holmes Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Garner, Associate Pastor of the Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, officiating. She was employed by the Duval County School Board as a teacher and retired after 44 years of dedicated services. She leaves to mourn her passing, a loving son, John Larry Roberts; niece, Frances O. Paige (Andrew); and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Roberts will rest in the mortuary for the visitation of friends on Wednesday TODAY from 6 until 9pm. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. STREIFEL - Robert W. Streifel, 73, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, May 10, 1998. Mr. Streifel was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church. Survivors include his daughters, Lorrie Jo Streifel and Cynthia Steifel Thompson; sister, Marilyn North; three grandchildren; and beloved Margie Bisbee. A memorial funeral service will be Sunday 2:00 PM May 17, 1998 at the St. Marks Lutheran Church, with The Rev. Dr. William F. Scholl, officiating. TOWNSEND - Colleen P. Townsend, age 74, died Sunday, May 10, 1998. WILDER - Joseph Carl Wilder, died May 11, 1998 at his home. Born October 7, 1921 in Johnson County, NC, he had lived in Jacksonville for 50 years and was retired from GATE Petroleum Company. Mr. Wilder was a member of First Baptist Church of Switzerland and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Iris D. Wilder; 2 sons, Sam and Jody; daughter, Pam; 2 grandchildren, Lindzy and Michael Sima; sister, Etta Hinnant and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM today, Wednesday, May 13, 1998 in the chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS MANDARIN FUNERAL HOME, 11801 San Jose Blvd., with Pastor Randy McQuaig, Pastor Tim Wilson and Pastor Jack Weeks, officiating. BRYAN - Rudolph Bryan, 80, a resident of Kingsland, GA died Saturday at his residence. Mr. Bryan was a prior longtime resident of Jacksonville, where he had retired as a decorator with The Florida State Theatre and The Duval County School Board. FINGER, JR. - George W. Finger, Jr. was born on June 2, 1917, Gainesville, Hall County, GA; he died November 28, 1998, in Jacksonville, Duval County, FL. Mr. Finger has been a resident of Jacksonville since 1971 after retiring as a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His FBI assignments included service in Portland, OR, Anchorage, AK, Miami, FL, Omaha, NE, Philadelphia, PA, and at FBI headquarters in Washington, DC. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and of the Florida Crown Chapter of the Retired Special Agents of the FBI. Mr. Finger is survived by his wife, Martha Adams Finger; three children, Eve Finger Lewis, Greer, SC, Stephen N. Finger, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and George Wayne Finger, Cocoa, FL, and six grandchildren. Survivors also include three sisters, Mrs. William H. Thrasher, Decatur, GA, Mrs. Haskel C. HAGAN - Arnold Ray Hagan, age 78, of St. Augustine, passed away Saturday, November 28, 1998 in Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine. Born in Jacksonville, he was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army, and had owned and operated a gas and oil company. He had lived in St. Augustine for thirty years, and was a member of the Wildwood Baptist Church, the VFW Post #2391, and the American Legion Post #37, all in St. Augustine. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday in the chapel of the Craig Funeral Home, St. Augustine, with Reverend Lois Turner officiating. Interment will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday. Mr. Hagan is survived by his wife, Jean Hiers Hagan; two daughters, Shirley Joudon and Lyn McMullian; one son, Ernest Hagan, all of St. Augustine; three sisters, Maggie Long of Griffin, Georgia, Lucille Pitts of Sanderson, Florida, and Juanita DeWitt of Fernandina Beach; nine grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. HARVEY - Wilma L. Harvey, 74, of Sanderson pass away on Monday November 30, 1998. She was a native and lifelong residence of Baker County. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Sarah Long. Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Buford Harvey; daughter, Marion Martin of Jacksonville; sons, Bobby of Jacksonville and Tommy and wife Marlynn of Sanderson; sisters, Sally Edmonson and Ruby Smith both of Jacksonville and Faye Bennett of Sanderson; grandchildren, Sharon Lovelady, Paige Shirley, Robert Harvey, Brett Harvey and Matthew Harvey; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 2, at 2pm in The Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny, with Rev. Leslie Thomas and Rev. David Thomas officiating.
