Geraldine Ryan Stansell
Geraldine “Jerry” Ryan Stansell passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 21, 2011. Jerry was born in Lackawanna, NY to Lucille Younkins Ryan and John Francis Ryan. She was raised in Greenville, PA and moved to Ocala, FL as a teenager.
She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in June of 1951 and married
her high school sweetheart, Joe Stansell, the next day. Her primary role was taking care of her husband and raising their four children and she taught sixth grade at Cedar Hills Elementary School for several years. She also designed and oversaw the construction of their home on Doctor’s Lake . She had been a member of Orange Park Garden Club, the Orange Park Debutante Coterie and the Orange Park Women’s Club.
Jerry was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Walter Joe Stansell. She is survived by four children and eight grandchildren including Robin (Eddie) Isaac, Ryan and Brooke; Tracey (Joe) Durante, Shawn Estock, Garrett and Shannon; Mike (Pam) Stansell, Brian and Emily; Hildie Mahoney and Joshua Hughes.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073 (904) 264-1233.

Gaye Lynne Gray
February 20, 1944 - February 2, 2014
Gaye Lynne Gray, 69, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 Gaye was born on February 20, 1944 in El Paso, Texas to Charles L. Golden and Lucille Van Valkenburgh Golden. She was a graduate of H. B. Plant High School in Tampa and retired after over 25 years with Wachovia Bank. She had lived in Jacksonville since 1979. Gaye enjoyed many wonderful trips in her R.V. She lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger.
Survivors include her partner of 22 years Paul Ingle; daughter, Tami Webber (Jeremy); son, Charles L. Wegner (Christine); sister, Sondra Bass (Al); grandson, Paul Scharringhausen; nieces, Susan Bass and Lee Ann Shearon; close cousin Howard Van Valkenburgh (Julie); and her beloved dogs, Trinity and Max.
A memorial service for Ms. Gray will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 6, in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Gaye’s name to www.saddlebredrescue.com. Reception to follow at her home.
Robert Wallace Graham
Died: Wednesday, August 06, 2003
Age: 92
Born in Framingham, Mass., Sept. 19, 1911, he was graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1934 and served in World War II in the Pacific Theater, commanding two destroyers. He received numerous military awards recognizing the contributions of his ships and crew.
After the war, he continued his service in the Naval Reserve. Adm. Graham moved to Jacksonville from New York City in the 1960s. He was a real estate developer and builder of homes and apartment complexes in the ’60s and ’70s.
He was a member and past president of the Jacksonville USNA alumni association, a past president of the Jacksonville Apartment Association and was active in Jacksonville civic affairs as a member of numerous local committees and associations.
He was an active member of the tennis and golf communities at Deerwood Country Club and later Queen’s Harbour Yacht & Country Club and was on the golf course as recently as three months before his death. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jesse Clark Graham.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy “Dee” Graham; brother John Graham; sons Robert W. Graham III and Capt. Clark Graham; daughter Missie Graham Sarra LePrell; step-children Lawrence von Seeger, Greg von Seeger, Steve von Seeger and Diana von Seeger;–grandchildren Rob Graham, David Graham, Geoffery Graham, Christopher Graham, Allison Graham Williams, Heather Graham Sarra, Scott Sarra, and great-granddaughter Grace Williams.

Jack William Bruhn
July 1, 1944 - February 15, 2014
U.S. Veteran - Jack William Bruhn, 69, passed away to the better place Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL, his home for 50 years. Jack was born in Birmingham, Alabama July 1, 1944 to Maurine and Leonard Bruhn and grew up in Racine, WI. He joined the US Navy and cruised the Atlantic aboard the USS Huntington (DD-781). Jack dedicated 34 years to Metals Container Corp. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Carol; her daughters, Christine Burns of Panama City, FL and Jill Keathley (Danny) of Jacksonville, FL; her son, David Pace (Tammy) of Jacksonville; his daughter, Deborah Steedley (Ralph) of Waycross, GA; his brother, Donald Bruhn (Joyce) of Phoenix, AZ; his sister Carolyn Bruhn-Hansmeier of Rockford, IL and an extended family of many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Norma Jean Watkins
June 28, 1923 - January 11, 2013
Jacksonville, Florida - Norma Jean (Quina) Watkins, 89, passed away Friday, January 11th, 2013. She was a life long resident of Jacksonville and leaves behind her beloved husband of almost 70 yrs., William O. Watkins, a daughter Judy (Bill) Ecker, and a son Dean (Murla) Watkins, four grandchildren, Shelley (Jim) Fox, Billy (Dana) Ecker, Gene Watkins, and Dee Dee (Matt) Grimes, eleven great grandchildren Melissa, Lucas, Cassie and Alana Fox, Nicholas and Ansley Ecker, Braden Watkins, and Jonathan, Hannah, Jacob and Harper Grimes, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jeanne Bolen Smith, born October 29, 1927, went home to be with her beloved husband Captain Fred G. Smith on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2014. Jeanne was predeceased in death by her parents, John C. and Agnes C. Bolen; her sister, Mary Agnes; brothers, John, Herbert, Ernest, and Richard. She leaves to mourn her loss, nieces, nephews, and her long time and dear friends, Anita Lewis and family, Sandy Smith, Brenda and Owen McGowan, and others. All who knew her, loved her happy smile and sense of humor. Frances W. Waldner
Died: Wednesday, August 06, 2003
Age: 79
Born Sept. 17, 1923, in Purdun, Mo., she moved to Jacksonville Beach from California in 1967. She was a member of the Selva Marina Ladies Golf Association and the Beaches Ladies Golf Association.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Clarence “Mike” Waldner; brother Cash Bartimus of Grand Junction, Colo.; sister Pauline (Virgil) Strong of Murrieta, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews of California and Connecticut.

Jack Klotz
Died: Monday, August 04, 2003
Age: 54
A 28-year veteran of the Jacksonville Beach Fire Department, he died in his home Monday, the day before he was to turn 55.
Mr. Klotz gave no indication of being in poor health, according to Fire Department employees.
“He was just a quiet, laid-back guy, ” fire administrator Teresa Zokl said.
The cause of death is being investigated by the Medical Examiner’s office.
Born Aug. 5, 1948, in Johnstown, Pa., Mr. Klotz served in the Army and was a retired helicopter pilot with the National Guard. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and the Gulf war.
Survivors include his sons Jeff and Chris Klotz of Jacksonville Beach; parents John and Elizabeth Klotz of Johnstown; siblings Joe (Elaine) Klotz of Chesterton, Ind., Kathy Spaid of Johnstown, Libbie Hatmaker of Lancaster, Ohio, Debbie (Joe) Cianflone of Hamden, Conn., Terri (Dennis) Potoka of Sarasota, Fla, Mary Jo (Julian) Serrano of Miami and Mike (Carol) Klotz of Johnstown.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at First Christian Church of the Beaches, with the Rev. Mahlon S. Dixon Jr. officiating. Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
Lorraine Martin
Lorraine Patricia Martin, 82, born March 29, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts to John Gray and Gertrude Murray Gray, passed away January 30, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. Longtime Arlington resident, she retired as Executive Secretary to Deputy Superintendent of Duval County School Board, Mrs. Martin enjoyed gardening, travel, family as well as her pets, she was a Gold Life Master American Contract Bridge League player. John R. Butcher
Died: Friday, August 01, 2003
Age: 85
Born June 3, 1918, in Duluth, Minn., he was a longtime resident of Jacksonville and the Beaches area. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota at Duluth and was retired from General Motors.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Butcher of Ponte Vedra Beach; daughters Pamela Gregory of Windsor, Conn., and Jeri Rogers of Maitland, Fla.; two grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ponte Vedra Valley cemetery, Ponte Vedra Beach.
Lucas Valiente Velez
Died: Thursday, July 31, 2003
The infant son of Louie and Beatrice Velez, he died in Jacksonville the day after he was born.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Valerie and Grace; paternal grandparents Agnes Medina Fuentes and Luis R. Velez; maternal grandparents Ramona and Migel Perez, five aunts, and an uncle.
Graveside services were held on Monday at H. Warren Smith cemetery, Jacksonville Beach. Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach.
William “Bill” Berghauser
William C. Berghauser passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013. He was the son of the late Robert and Marjorie Berghauser, born on December 7, 1948 in Scranton, PA.
William graduated from West Scranton High School in 1966. He held a Commercial Drivers License and worked for Consolidated Freightways for many years. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
William is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen Berghauser; brothers, Robert C. Berghauser, Thomas W. Berghauser and Mark Berghauser; nephews; Eric Berghauser and Gary Hartford; nieces, Kurstin Berghauser, Karla Berghauser, Pamela Berghauser and Donna Berghauser, Tracey Jacobi, Lori Hartford and Kristen Herbst.
William will be greatly missed by his wife, family and friends.

Nancy Caroline Barstow Wynkoop
Died: Monday, July 21, 2003
Age: 88
Born Dec. 17, 1914, in Alhambra, Calif., she grew up in Southern California. She was an artist and enjoyed drawing, traveling, reading, bicycling, boating and camping across the country.
She was a longtime member of Palms Presbyterian Church, , Jacksonville Beach, and volunteered for many charitable causes, among them Habijax and the community kitchen in Jacksonville Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Stratton, her brother, Alfred Gary Barstow, and her sister, Mary Rhodes Rockwell.
She is survived by children Katrina (Richard) Wynkoop-Simmons of Olympia, Wash., Peter (Frances) Wynkoop of Atlantic Beach, Susanna W. Killian of Ponte Vedra Beach, Linda W. Oswald and Jonathan (Christine) Wynkoop, both of Charlotte, Mich., and Mary (John) Burns of Louisville, Colo.; grandchildren Caitlin Simmons, Andrew Wynkoop, Richard (Sharon) McDowell, Susan (Darren) Cagle, Davied Killian, Peter Killian, Gina (Ty) Sanders, John Oswald, Owen Burns, James Burns, Lucy Burns and Sophia Burns; and five great-grandchildren.

Marguerite Browning Faulk
Funeral services for Marguerite Browning Faulk age 84 will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Shiloh United Methodist Church, Highway 19 South Route 568, Lumber City, Georgia, Wheeler County with pastor Fred Smith officiating.

Ms. Marguerite was born in Wheeler County Georgia, December 3, 1927 and died peacefully with her daughter Julie Lynn Faulk Bova at her side at the Hadlow Hospice Center, Jacksonville, Florida, Friday, February 3, 2012.
She was a member of the Kernan Road Baptist Church since the early 1970's formerly Southside Estates Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Berline, Ruby, Jewell, Runette, Eddiree, her brothers Thomas, Alvin, Howard and Ernest.
She is survived by her loving Daughter Julie Lynn Bova, her son-in-law William David Bova, Jr., grandchildren Kyle Addison Bova and Dylan Joseph Bova and special family and friends.
