Mrs. Vickie Lamberson, 44, of 113 Bellamy Circle, Port St. Joe, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at her residence. Born in Augusta, Ga., she moved to Port St. Joe in 1974 from Tallahassee, Fla. She was a kindergarten teacher at Faith Christian School and was also a member of Grace Baptist Church where she was a very active youth leader. Mrs. Lamberson is preceded in death by her father, Leo Lewis. She is survived by her husband, Rick Lamberson of Port St. Joe; one daughter, Kim Lamberson of Port St. Joe; one son, Ricky Lamberson of Port St. Joe; her mother, Nan Turza and husband, Ted of Port St. Joe; one sister, Cheryl Roberson and husband Keith of Winter Park, Fla.; father and mother-in-law, Dick and Jean Lamberson of Port St. Joe; two brothers-in-law: Mark Lamberson and wife Sarah of Port St. Joe and Scott Lamberson and wife Sandra of Port St. Joe; one sister-in-law, Carole Donner and husband Bob of Tallahassee; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Lamberson will be conducted today, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. EST at Long Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Bruce Duty officiating and Pastor Marty Martin assisting. Cyril A. Poacher, age 88, of Suffolk, England, passed away Sept. 21, 1999. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linna Vera Poacher. He is survived by his daughter, Ursula and son-in-law, Jim Hixson of Panama City; step daughter, Daphne and son-in-law Ken of England; four grandchildren: Linna Rogers of Pensacola, Rhonda (Gene) Miller, Tracey Hixson and Paul Hixson of Panama City; and four great-grandchildren: James and Gregory Miller, Ross Rogers and Colby Hixson. Deacon Earlie Lee Baker, 50, of 1621 Fortune Ave., died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Panama City. He attended the public schools of Bay County and was a Rosenwald/Bay High graduate of the class of 1968. He worked in the Bay County school system for 29 1/2 years until his illness, and was part owner of the Wayside Grill. He was ordained as a deacon in 1992 at Jesus Only Tabernacle Church and had been a faithful servant to the Lord, at his church home and to the Florida State Council of the Pentecoastal Assemblies of the World where he took part in the auditing committee. He is survived by his loving wife, Evangelist Lillian Baker of Panama City; five sons: Kenny of Miami, Ray of Pittsburg, Pa., Darrell, Greg and Gary all of Panama City; a daughter, Tammy Coplin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren: a brother, Hubert Baker Jr. (Olivia) of Panama City; a sister, Linda Fay Baker of Panama City; two uncles: Herbert Baker of Miami and Alonozo Baker Jr. (Willie) of Pittsburg; four aunts: Lola Mae Baker and Mabel Lucas both of Panama City, Gladys Reynolds of Philadelphia, Pa. and Verdell Burk of Miami; three great-aunts: Maime Dudley of Verno Beach, Mary Cotton and Willie Barkley both of Jackson County; mother-in-law, Wiltha Mae Lewis of Panama City; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Mr. John Curtis Coleman, 66, of 916 Helen Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at a local hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Coleman had been a resident of Panama City since 1962 moving here from Milton, Fla., and was a member of Set Free Pentecostal Church. Mr. Coleman was born the 9th child of eleven to the late Blanth and Rosa Coleman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucile Walker-Coleman; one son, Billy J. Walker and six brothers and sisters. LOUISE TUCKER HARDY
Louise Hardy, retired teacher, died Wednesday morning Sept. 22, 1999, at her home in Panama City, Fla. She was 91. Born Louise Ellen Tucker, on July 30, 1908, in Haverhill, Mass., she spent her young life in Merrimac, Mass., where she graduated from high school. Following her graduation from Merrimac High, Louise attended Framingham Normal School where she received her teacher's certificate. She taught elementary school during the Depression years in Seabrook, N.H., and Merrimac, Mass., following in the footsteps of her mother, Anne Hosford Tucker, former Superintendent of Schools in Merrimac. On June 30, 1930, Louise married her high school sweetheart, Malcolm Lewis Hardy, who had come to Merrimac from Hope Farm in Goshen, Vt., near Bradford, Vt. They moved to Tarrytown, N.Y., in 1938 where her husband started his career in aviation and learned to fly. In 1942 they moved to Waynesboro, Pa., during which time their son Lewis was born and they purchased the local airport. Throughout World War II they operated a Naval Air training program at the airport. After her husband's death in 1953, Louise returned to teaching in the Waynesboro School Districts and taught there until her retirement in 1975. Following her retirement, she moved to Panama City to be near her son. Louise was a great collector of books on a wide range of subjects. She was a prolific writer and her many friends and family will remember receiving her notes written in perfect penmanship. Family genealogy was a passion and her research took her to all corners of New England. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favored charity. A graveside service will be held at Upper Plains Cemetery in Bradford, Vt., at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26. Louise will be buried there with her husband and infant daughter, Lois Anne Hardy. She is survived by one son, Lew Hardy and wife Gayle of Panama City Beach; grandchildren: Doug Hardy and his wife Paula and Michelle Faulkner and her husband Joey, all of Birmingham, Ala., Lyn Phillips and Jared Phillips and his wife Patricia, all of Panama City Beach; great-grandchildren: Samuel S. Hardy and Scott Hardy, both of Birmingham and L.J. Phillips of Panama City Beach; and a niece, Joyce Tucker Silberling and her husband Robert of Thousand Oaks, Calif. She was preceded in death by a brother, Elsworth Tucker.

Mrs. Leona (Bunny) Mahler, born in Nashville, Tenn., died on Sept. 22, 1999. She moved to Wewahitchka in 1979. Mrs. Mahler was a graduate of Vanderbilt University, a chemist with W. R. Grace Co., and taught in Nashville area schools. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, vice-regent of St. Joseph Bay Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a member of Wewahitchka Womens Club. Marie Preziosi, of Lynn Haven, died Tuesday, September 21, 1999, at Gulf Coast Hospital. Marie was born in Southhampton, N.Y., on Aug. 30, 1963. She was a March of Dimes poster child for the Eastern Suffolk Co. N.Y. chapter in 1965. Marie attended elementary schools on Long Island, N.Y., and in Chipping Norton and Upper Heyford, England. She graduated from Holy Nativity Episcopal School, and was a 1981 honors graduate of Mosley High School. She attended Gulf Coast Community College, Hillsbourough Community College and was a graduate of Florida State University, Tallahassee. While attending college she was a volunteer at the University of South Florida Medical School and at Gulf Coast Hospital. She was a former dispatcher for the Lynn Haven Police Department, and was currently employed at Sallie Mae as a customer service representative. Marie was also self-employed as an independent beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Isa A. Ramilo, age 88, of National City, Calif., was laid to rest Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Panama City. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Little Chapel of the Roses, Glenn Abbey Memorial Park, Bonita, Calif., with Father Louis Fischer officiating. Mrs. Ramilo died Saturday, Sept. 4, at Balboa Naval Hospital, San Diego, Calif. She was born May 14, 1911, in the Philippines and had been a U.S. resident since 1972. Survivors include two sons: Iluminado Alcarez of San Diego, Calif., and Manolo Guillamun of Manila, Philippines; five daughters: Norma Hassell of Orlando, Zenaida Hoffman of Glendale, Ariz., Olivia Baber of Panama City, Pros Gill of Twentynine Palms, Calif., Alicia Fajardo of Manila, Philippines. Mrs. Ramilo leaves behind 28 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. He had been a resident of Panama City for 6 years moving here from New York. He was a member of the Hampton Masonic Lodge 347 of Westmoreland, N.Y., a lifetime member of the VFW of Fultonville, N.Y., Zyra Shrine Temple of Utica, N.Y., and was a graduate of Fonda High School, Fonda, N.Y. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, where he received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. AMOS WILLIAM VAN DYKE
Mr. Amos William Van Dyke, 80, of Panama City, died Friday morning, Sept. 24, 1999 in a local nursing home. Mr. Van Dyke was a man of many talents. During his lifetime he was a merchant marine, saw combat in World War II as a master chief in the Navy and Vietnam as a civilian consultant. He attained a law degree practicing law in Atlanta, Ga., and was appointed Lt. Colonel, Aide De Camp, to Gov. Lester Maddox. He was also a Navy photographer at the NCSC and was a professional photographer and a writer for the Florida Anglers Society. Mr. Van Dyke is preceded in death by his wife, Lovere Marie, whom he adored. He left no known family except for a beloved sister-in-law, Louise Keller of West Virginia. He will be missed by his friends and adopted family, Michael and Phyllis Kidd and his associates in the Shriners of Bay County. Memorilization will be by cremation. Mr. L.D. Anderson, 73, of DeFuniak Spring, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, in Panama City, Fla. Mr. Anderson was born in Walton County, Fla., on Jan. 13, 1926, and was the son of the late DeRow and Rosa Carroll Anderson. He was a life-long resident of Walton County and was also a member of West Bay Adventist Christian Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. L.D. enjoyed cooking for church and fundraising events. Mr. Anderson is survived by a daughter, Karen and son-in-law Gil Anderson of Westville, Fla.; and former wife Delma R. OLIVER (FRED) McKAY
The Rev. Oliver McKay, 86, of 410 E. 14th St., Lynn Haven, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 21, at his home. The Rev. McKay, Fred as he was affectionately called, loved live and all of its blessings. He was blessed with the ability to change the very worst of situations with his profound wisdom of God's Holy Words for all who needed them. The Rev. McKay was born in Jackson County, Fla., on March 3, 1913. He was the 14th child of the late Robert and Savannah McKay. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was also a member of the Knights of Pythias and an employee of International Paper Co. for 22 years. The Rev. McKay received Christ at an early age in Jackson County and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He moved to Panama City in 1952. He then joined Greater Friendship Baptist Church. He joined New Hope in May 1985. After receiving a call from God, he preached his trial sermon in 1988 and later became associate pastor and served faithfully until his health failed. On Dec. 20, 1941, the Rev. McKay and Mrs. Hettie Dudley joined in holy matrimony. Six children were born to this union. Mr. Jackie L. Pitts, 65, of 2417 E. 34th Place, Panama City, Fla., died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, at his home. He had been a life-long resident of the area. WILLIE LEE RICHARDSON
The late Deacon Willie Lee Richardson was born March 14, 1912, in Bay County, Fla. He was the son of the late Charles and Cora Richardson. He departed his earthly life at Bay Medical Center Sept. 22, 1999. Early in life the decedent accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined a Missionary Baptist church. Later, he joined St. John Baptist Church where he remained a very faithful member until his demise. He was a member of the Golden Age Membership Club and served his church in many capacities during his long tenure of membership. He was one of eight men elected by the church to serve as members of the building committee for the construction of our present sanctuary. Also, he served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. The late Deacon Richardson was joined in holy matrimony to Ms. Mary on July 18, 1983. Mrs. Josephine G. Lumbert, 89, of Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, in a local hospital. Born in Bournedale, Mass., she moved to Lynn Haven in 1988 from Falmouth, Mass. Mrs. Lumbert was a salesperson in retail with the J.J. Newberry Company. She was also a Baptist by faith and a member of the Wampanoag Indian Tribe. Mr. Elbert M. Davis, 79, of Wewahitchka, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at his home. A native of Elberton Ga., he was reared in Fitzgerald, Ga., and lived in Wewahitchka the past 14 years. He was a member of VFW Post 8285, Al Menah Temple, Queen City Lodge 0761, and the Grand Council Cryptic Masons. Mr. Davis was retired from the U.S. Army as a sergeant, and proudly served his country in the liberation of Europe during World War II under Gen. Patton. He also participated in several major battles including the invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. Survivors include his wife, Martha; five daughters and two sons: Donna Johnson and husband Robert, Richard Davis and wife Lillie, Teresa Casteneda, Carol Porter and husband Steve, Mary Milton and husband Curtis, Leslie Hynson and husband Darrell, and Bobby Joe Shields; 12 grandchildren: Jamie, Timmy, Angie, Michael, Daniel, Brandon, Christy, Holly, Crystal, Stephanie, Jeremy and Jordan; and three great-grandchildren, Katlyn, Taylor and Brook.
