Corinne E. Bloom, 82, of Citrus Springs died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. She was born in York, Maine, and came here 26 years ago from the Island of Guam. She was a retired payroll clerk for the U.S. government. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge No. 2308 of Dunnellon, the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Edward W. Penno Post No. 4864 of Citrus Springs and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post No. 58 of Dunnellon. She was a member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church of Citrus Springs.
Surviving are her husband, Leo Bloom of Citrus Springs; two sons, Victor Alan Bloom of Kissimmee and Bruce Armas Bloom of Amesbury, Mass.; two daughters, Shirley Ann Jamison of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Denise "Dee" Aina Forsyth of Citrus Springs; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janyce Richardson, and a grandchild, Alan Scott Bloom.

Raymond S. Czerwinski Jr., 47, of Inverness died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center. A native of Watertown, Wis., he was born July 8, 1953, to Raymond and Bernice Czerwinski. He moved to Citrus County 21 years ago from Tampa. He was a produce manager for the Inverness Kash n' Karry store. He was active in Little League Baseball where he served on the board of directors and as a coach. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Lucille Wall, 86, of Crystal River died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, while under the care of her loving family and the staff of Cypress Cove Care Center. She moved here one year ago from Deerfield Beach. She was employed in the electronics industry and retired from Motorola in Chicago, Ill., after 26 years of service. She was then the loving caregiver to her mother and father until their deaths. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Wall; mother and father, Martin and Amelia Insco; three sisters, Mary Ella (Dink), Mattie Lou (Bigon) and Frances Mozell; and two brothers, Herman and Charles Edward.
She is survived by one sister, Helen Bonnell (Ervin); two brothers, Aron Dean (Kay) and Dallas Morgan (Rachel); and many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

George Ensign, 81, of Inverness
George Edmond Ensign, 81, of Inverness died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, after a brief illness. He was born on the family farm in Spencer, Ohio, on March 3, 1919, to Clyde and Cora Welsh Ensign. He was a foreman for S.J. Groves and Sons Construction Company and retired in 1976 after 16 years. In the 1950s he played and managed in various softball teams around the Medina and Lorain County areas. After his retirement, George and his wife, Geraldine, owned and operated a mobile home park in St. Clairesville, Ohio. They then moved to Florida in 1976 and owned and operated Ensign's Oasis Mobile Home Park in Inverness. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving aboard troop and munitions ships in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. He also served in Morocco and Sicily.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Geraldine "Gerry" Ensign; sons, Carmen "Spud" Brinker of Inverness, Warren Brinker of Spencer, Ohio, and Clayton Brinker of Gainesville; daughters, Charlene Wuthrich of Sullivan, Ohio, and Beverly Brinker of Inverness; sisters, Lucille Dunbar, Bertha Hopkins and Doris Simon; brothers, Charles, Harold, Donald (Jake) and Frank; grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Born in Utica, N.Y., Nov. 28, 1932, to Ralph L. and Genevive (Cummings) Moore, he came to this area 27 years ago from Pompano Beach. He was owner/operator of the Sno-ball Advertising Company in Crystal River. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran; member of the American Legion Post 155, Crystal River, VFW Post 8189, Homosassa, and the Irish-American Club. He was a member of St. Scholastica Parish.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and past president of the Happy Timers. She was Episcopalian.
Surviving are two sons, Kenny Rheaume of Daytona Beach and Richard Rheaume of Marshfield, Mass.; one daughter, Phyllis Ginsburg of Stoughton, Mass.; one brother, Roy Schwenzfeier of Inverness; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Hattie Cunningham, 67, of Taunton, Mass.
Hattie A. (Williams) Cunningham, 67, of Taunton, Mass., died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital, Brockton, Mass., from complications suffered by a massive stroke. She was born in Pompano on Oct. 15, 1932, to James and Beatrice (Vaughan) Williams. A longtime Taunton resident, she and her children moved to Taunton to be with her sister, the late Allie Mae McCone, and her family while her husband, James, served in Vietnam. She was educated in the segregated South during "Jim Crow." She graduated in 1954, cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona, a historically black college. As a protege of the college's co-founder, Dr. Mary McLeod-Bethune, she walked to the local airport with Dr. Bethune to meet the then-first lady, Eleanor Roosevelt. During the late 1960s, she became the first president of the Taunton Chapter of the NAACP. She also was a member of the Concerned Afro Coalition. For many years she was the guest speaker of Martin Luther King Jr. Day held at City Hall under the then Mayor Richard Johnson's administration. She taught for more than 32 years in the Taunton Public Schools before illness forced her to retire early in June of this year. She taught at Caswell, Weir and E. Pole Schools respectively. Last October she was honored by The Business and Professional Women's Club of Taunton for her remarkable courage and determination to succeed growing up in the South during the Civil Rights Movement. She received citations from Gov. Paul Cellucci, Sen. Marc Pachec, Rep. James Fagan and former Mayor Robert Nunes. Her last speaking engagement this year was at Bridgewater State College during Black History Month. She was a faithful member of the First Portuguese Baptist Church, and she initiated the process to change the church name to Baptist Church of All Nations. She was a deaconess and superintendent of the Sunday School, and a member of the Spiritual Board, the Women's Ministry and the Trustee Board. She sang in the church choir for many years.
Her survivors include her husband, James A. Cunningham Sr. of Baltimore, Md.; her children, Kathy Cunningham of Taunton, Mass., Patricia Cunningham, James A. Cunningham Jr. and John Cunningham, all of Baltimore, Md.; and her grandson, Jarrett Cunningham of Baltimore, Md. She was the sister of the late Allie McCone and Katherine Williams. She also leaves nieces, nephews, an uncle, Fred Vaughn, an aunt, Marie Collins of Dunnellon and cousins Dolores Turner of Taunton, Mass., and Mildred Nunn of Palmetto.

He was employed by Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, N.J., as equipment specialist in the Nuclear Engineering Directorate for 25 years. He was a member of St. Stephens Lodge F&AM, member of the Citrus County Sheriff's Posse, member of the Homosassa Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Ridgerunner's Live Steam Club and builder of model steam engines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mary McNeary Sorenson, in 1963.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Hiram Lodge No. 494 in Oklahoma City, the Scottish Rite Valley of McAlester Orient of Oklahoma, the Citrus County Amateur Radio Club and the Sky High Amateur Radio Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, who died Oct. 23, 1993.

Surviving are two sons, Harold R. of Shreveport, La., and Stanley B. Jr. of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Charla Bauer of Floral City; a brother, Harold of Arizona; and eight grandchildren.
