Lloyd Eugene Lang, 76, of Lecanto died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Life Care Center of Citrus County. He was born in Detroit, Mich., and came here 10 years ago from Highland, Mich. He was a retired maintenance supervisor in the banking business. He was a World War II veteran. He was a past Scout Master for 20 years in Michigan. He was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto.

Daniel E. Schurr Jr., 71, of Auburn, Ind., died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, in Citrus Memorial Hospital while visiting his daughter in Inverness. A native of Corunna, Ind., he was a retired assembly worker with International Harvester for 30 years, retiring in 1984.

Donald G. Arnold, 54, of Dunnellon died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, in Dunnellon. He was born in Daytona Beach and moved here in 1998 from Naples. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed by Collier County School Board as a lawn maintenance worker. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and New Hope Ministries, both in Naples.
Surviving are his daughter, Jean Joiner of Moody, Ala.; four brothers, Robert of Vermont, Raymond of Tennessee and John of Florida; and a sister, Sandra Hawkins of Naples. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and James.

Richard Bucher, 73, of Crystal River
Richard Tippie Bucher, 73, of Crystal River died at home Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, under the loving care of his family and Hospice. A native of Lima, Ohio, he was born May 11, 1927, to Arnold and Gladys Tippie. He moved to Florida eight years ago from Findlay, Ohio. He retired from the aerospace industry as a national sales representative for Ex-Cello-Textron Corp. He served was a Navy veteran of World War II. Before moving to Florida, he was the water safety chairman for the Allen County Chapter of the American Red Cross and a Heart Association Bike-A-Thon volunteer. After moving here, he became a member of the Hernando Church of The Nazarene, where he served on the board and sang in the choir, was active with the building and scholarship committees, and assisted with the children’s bell choir. He also was a volunteer at Seven Rivers Community Hospital.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Vivien Baber Bucher; two sons, Stephen Bucher of Charleston, S.C., and Rand Bucher of Findlay, Ohio; two daughters, Jane Chew of Cape May, N.J., and Susan Morvay of Lima, Ohio; four brothers, Dennis of Costa Mesa, Calif., Kenneth and Daniel both of Lima, Ohio, and David of Wapakoneta, Ohio; two sisters, Laureen Hickey of Napoleon, Ohio, and LaDonna Hickey of Lima, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Joan Kernan Gauthier, 71, of Inverness died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. She was born in Baltimore, Md., on Nov. 14, 1929, to Eugene Holden Kernan and Anna Brannan Kernan. She was a graduate of Holy Trinity High School in Washington, D.C. She was married on Feb. 18, 1950, in Washington, D.C., to Edmund Ernest Gauthier of Detroit, Mich. A former resident of Grosse Pointe Park, Mich., she moved to Citrus Springs in 1972 and had been a resident of Inverness since 1978. She was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church where she served as a eucharistic minister and volunteer office worker. She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene H. and Anna B. Kernan and her sister, Patricia Ervin of Springfield, Va.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edmund E. Elizabeth ‘‘Betty’’ Glonek, 65, of Inverness died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. She was born in Englishtown, N.J., on Nov. 12, 1935, to Joseph and Kadi Cier. She retired from McGraw-Hill Publishing in New Jersey as a clerical supervisor after 30 years of service. She moved to Inverness in 1994 from Trenton, N.J. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels of Inverness. She was Catholic. Her husband, Jerome Glonek Sr., preceded her in death.

Waymon A. Sullivan, 62, of Ozello died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000. He was born in Ocala and came to Ozello six years ago. He was a retired Master Chief with the U.S. Coast Guard with 20 years serving during the Vietnam War and was quality assurance engineer. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 4209, Ocala. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 2013, Crystal River; Inverness Elks Lodge No. 2522; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 3992, Inverness.

Willie Williamson, 88, of Inverness
Willie ‘‘Billie’’ Hunt Williamson, 88, of Inverness died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, in the Life Care Center of Lecanto. A native of Dawson, Ga., she was born Aug. 13, 1912, to Willie and Carrie Hunt. She moved here in 1947 from Alabama. She was the widow of the late Malcolm Williamson, who preceded her in death in 1984. She was a retired educator, having graduated from Duke University and receiving her master’s degree from Emory University. She taught at both the Inverness and Crystal River high schools. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church since 1947, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She was a 50-year member and past president of the Inverness Woman’s Club.
Surviving are one son, George M. Williamson of Wilmington, N.C.; one daughter, Judith Motter of Houston, Texas; one brother, Carver Hunt of Hiawassee, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Miley of Atlanta, Ga., and Gene Jernigan of Inverness; and seven grandchildren.

She came here 31 years ago from Tampa where she retired as a meat cutter with Winn Dixie food stores. She was a member of the Inglis Civic Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Inglis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Saucer Sr., on Nov. 12, 1979.

Robert L. Williams, 91, of Baldwin, Ga. and formerly of Crystal River died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at a private health care facility following an extended illness. He was born in Broward County on April 30, 1909. He was preceded in death by his wife Lorena Goodman Williams and son, Ronald Barry Williams. He was a carpenter and welder, who helped build the Fountain Bleu Hotel in Miami and several power plants throughout Florida.
Surviving are his daughter Donna W. Weaver of Cornelia, Calif., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

James Kenneth Goodenough, 78, of Inverness, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital. A native of St. Louis, Mo., he was born Sept. 20, 1922. He moved to Florida 20 years ago from N. Babylon, N.Y., where he was a retired carpenter and a 50-year member of the Carpenter’s Union. He was a World War II veteran of the Merchant Marines.
