Teresa Rose Roberts, 71, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., May 25, 1928, she moved to Las Vegas eight years ago. She was a Citrus County resident for 23 years. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Roberts of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Audrey Roberts of Las Vegas, Nev., and Tracy Ruck of Henderson, Nev.; son, John Roberts of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Edith Rinaldi of Las Vegas, Nev., Gloria Zappia and Laura Pampino both of New York; brother, Rocco Marriota of New York; three grandchildren, Ashley DeBusk, Alexis Ruck both of Henderson, Nev., and Kathie Hutchinson of Crystal River; and one great-grandchild, Kylie Hutchinson of Crystal River.

Mary Joanne Sloan, 64, of Beverly Hills died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and came to Beverly Hills four months ago from Spring Hill. She was a retired computer controller in the banking industry. She was Catholic.
Surviving are her sons, Jeffrey Sloan of Beverly Hills and John Sloan of Seminole; granddaughter, Christie, of Beverly Hills; brothers, Thomas of Ohio and Daniel of Spring Hill; several nieces and nephews; and daughters-in-law, Nancy and Donna.

George Buike, 84, East Lansing, Mich.
George Wilson Buike, 84, of East Lansing, Mich., formerly of Beverly Hills, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000. He was born Feb. 23, 1915, in Imlay City, Mich., son of Albert and Bernice (Wilson) Buike. Mr. Buike was a captain in the U.S. Army who served in Iwo Jima. For his service he received the Victory Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service unit plaque, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal with one Bronze Star and the American Theater Medal. Mr. Buike had a career as an automotive engineer for Holley Carburetor and Ford Motor Co., earning several U.S. patents for both companies. In retirement, he and his wife moved to Florida in 1979. Mr. Buike was an avid golfer and woodworker.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Leona; three children, Sandra (Peter Cousino) Buike of Sylvan Lake, Mich., Anita (Richard) Metzbower of Severna Park, Md., and James (Marcia) Buike of Bay Minette, Ala.; three grandchildren, Brian (Tracy) Link of Farmington Hills, Mich., David Link of East Lansing, Mich., and Ryan Metzbower of Severna Park, Md.; brother, Douglas (Ilah) Buike of Imlay City, Mich.; sister, Phyllis Bryant of Belding, Mich.; sister-in-law, Doris Short of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother-in-law, David (Peg) VanName of Haddonfield, N.J.; along with several nieces and nephews. Mr. Buike was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Ardis and Deke McIntyre; brothers-in-law, Dare Bryant, Charles Short and Ray Kephart; and sisters-in-law, Elaine VanName and Aclista Kephart. A memorial service will be held in Michigan.

Page Wright Crenshaw, 81, of Crystal River died following a brief illness on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1918 in Jacksonville to the late Yholande and Thomas Stanford Wright. She was a schoolteacher in Atlanta, Ga., prior to moving here 24 years ago. She was a very active volunteer associate with The Atlanta Boy's Club and received many citations for her work.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lawrence Crenshaw of Crystal River; sister, Mrs. Henry D. Lyle of Williston; and many nieces and nephews.

Irene M. Goodrich, 68, of Homosassa died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000. She was born in Waukegan, Ill., and came to Homosassa 17 years ago from Plymouth, Ind. Mrs. Goodrich was a retired supervisor. She was Lutheran. She was wife of the late Mr. Russell Leroy Goodrich, who died Dec. 10, 1998.

Mrs. Hawkes was born Dec. 15, 1901, in Montgomery, W.Va., to John Henry and Molly Stinnett. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Montgomery, W.Va.

Melvin Sigurd Matson, 76, of Inverness died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Born June 20, 1923 in Munhall, Pa., to the late Oscar and Sigrid (Hendrickson) Matson. He came here in 1987 from E. Weymouth, Mass. Mr. Matson retired from General Dynamics as a traffic controller with 11 years of service and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Inverness VFW Post No. 4337 and the Inverness Elks Lodge BPOE No. 2522. He was Lutheran.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Louise E. (Steinlicht) Matson; three sons, Melvin E. of Weymouth, Mass., Greg E. of E. Mary Lou Wells Booth, 66, of Crystal River died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. She was born in Uniontown, Pa., on June 21, 1934, to Dorothy and Theodore Marshall Collins. She moved here from Clearwater 30 years ago. She was Presbyterian.

Alexander Anthony Palumbo, 85, of Dunnellon died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River. He was born in Hoboken, N.J., and came here 13 years ago from Matawan, N.J. He was a retired systems analyst with the federal government. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of VFW Post No. 7991, Dunnellon, where he served as vice commander. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Frank Palumbo of Margate and Joseph Palumbo of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three sisters, Ella Petrosini of Brooklyn, N.Y., Florence Murphy of Mastic Beach, Long Island, N.Y., and Anne Siverson of Holly Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

Her memberships included Our Lady of Fatima Parish and the DAV Post No. 76 Ladies Auxiliary, both of Inverness, and the American Legion Post No. 154 Ladies Auxiliary of Marathon.
Surviving are her loving husband of 37 years, Louis E. Gladys Eleanor Anderson, 83, of Inverness, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Born in Kearny, N.J., on March 9, 1916, to the late Alexander and Elvira (Hult) Anderson, she moved to Florida 23 years ago from Syosset, N.Y. She was an organist and choir director at Faith Lutheran Church in Syosset, N.Y. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Inverness.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Arthur W. Anderson; two sons, Gerald A. Anderson of New York, N.Y., and Glenn D. Anderson of Bloomington, Ind. and 1 brother, Jack Willman of New Bern, N.C.

Eddie Tuggle, 89, of Inverness
Eddie Clyde Tuggle, 89, of Inverness, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at his residence. Born in Eatonton, Ga., he came to Inverness 30 years ago from Miami. He was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Rutland. In 1970, he retired as an engineer from Pan American Airlines and was a member of the Pan American Retirees Association.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Clyde Tuggle, who died June 20, 1957.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marian Erwin Tuggle of Inverness; a son, Richard L. Tuggle of Winter Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren, Trenton B. Tuggle, Shannon A. Tuggle, Sage C. Tuggle, Tyler O. Tuggle and Shane A. Tuggle, all of Winter Springs.
