Dorothy E. Stanton, 85, of Inverness died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000. She was born in St. John City, New Brunswick, Canada. She was a retired clerk in the bakery department for Grand Union Grocery Store.
She is survived by one foster daughter, Patricia McLerran of Binghamton, N.Y.; three foster sons, John Young of East Syracuse, N.Y., George Young and William Young, both of Inverness; two sisters, Margaret Burke of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada and Patricia Lahey of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada; two brothers, Norman Stanton of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada and Esmond Stanton of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Rayona Webber, 80, of Orlando
Rayona P. Webber, 80, of Orlando died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Florida Hospital in Kissimmee. She was born to Eva and Herbert S. Vickery on Dec. 18, 1919, in Coventry, R.I. She was a resident of Beverly Hills for seven years coming from Coventry, R.I., and she moved to Orlando one year ago. She was a retired secretary. She was a member of the Pawtuxet Baptist Church. She was a member of the DAR and she was coordinator of the Coventry Centerits Reunions.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Webber-Sweet of Orlando; and three grandchildren, Rayanne Sweet and Stephanie Sweet both of Orlando, and Jeremy K. Webber of Green, R.I.

Lentho Burns, 86, of Inverness died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Born in Frametown, W.Va., on March 24, 1913, to Grover C. and Lillian M. Burns, he came here 21 years ago from West Windsor, N.J. He was a retired captain with the U.S. Army for more than 20 years, having served during World War II. He was a member of the Madison Masonic Lodge in Madison, N.J. He was Protestant.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Ruth; son, Robert C. Burns of Bordentown, N.J.; two sisters, Mildred Burns and Helen Phillips, both of Fairmont, W.Va.; and two grandchildren, Danielle and David.

Edward J. Carlson, 56, of Inverness died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came to Inverness 10 years ago from Louisiana. He was a retired deckhand for Great Lakes Dredging. He was a member of the Eagles. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness.
Surviving are his children, two sons, Edward and Paul, and two daughters, Andrea and Maureen, all of Aurora, Colo.; his mother, Ruth of Inverness; two brothers, Mark of Inverness and Brian of Loudenville, N.Y.; a sister, Linda Albrecht of Inverness; and seven grandchildren.

Dorothy Decker, 89, of Inverness died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Born in Hancock, N.Y., on Nov. 17, 1910, to Frank and Melissa (Howard) Schrader, she came here four years ago from Huntington Station, N.Y. She was a retired presser for a dry cleaning company. She was Protestant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Decker, in 1949, and her son, Victor "Buck" Kehrley, who died Aug. 3, 1999.
She is survived by two nieces, Mary Hay of Hauppauge, N.Y., and Evelyn Mosher of Yakima, Wash.

Ethel Frink, 86, of Crystal River
Ethel M. Frink, 86, of Crystal River died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at her residence under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. She was born May 4, 1913, to Frank and Leonora MacDonough in Westbrook, Maine. She came here 24 years ago from Rutherford, N.J., where she was a loan officer with the United Jersey Bank. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Rutherford, N.J. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Frink, who died Aug. 17, 1980. She was Methodist.
She is survived by her son, Arthur L. Frink and his wife Peggy of Yankeetown; daughter, Carol R. Owens and her husband Brook of Crystal River; sister, Ruth Goetze of Lees Summit, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

Anne J. Russell, 71, of Beverly Hills died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000. She was born in Spencer, Ind., and came to Beverly Hills nine years ago from Indianapolis, Ind. She was Protestant. She was the widow of Erwin G. Russell, who died July 6, 1980.

Walter Brock, 73, of Ormond Beach
Walter Earl Brock, 73, of Ormond Beach died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at his home. He was born in Wheeling, W. Va., to Walter and Ethel (Armstrong) Brock. Mr. Brock came to Inverness in 1969 and was owner of D&W Construction Company. He moved to Ormond Beach in 1988 where he continued working as supervisor of construction projects all over the southeastern United States; and prior to retiring at the end of 1999, he was a safety engineer inspector in the Ormond Beach area construction sites for Foley & Associates Construction Company, Daytona. He attended Allstate Construction College, Florida. He was past master of the LaGrange Masonic Lodge No. 399 F&AM, LaGrange, Ohio; member of the Citrus Masonic Lodge No. 118, F&AM, Inverness; Syrian Shrine Temple, Royal Order of the Jesters, York Rite Bodies, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; past patron of the LaGrange Order of the Eastern Star No. 361, LaGrange, Ohio. He was a former member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, Inverness. Mr. Brock was an avid square and round dancer; member of the Granada Square Dance Club, Ormond Beach; Flagler Ocean Waves Square Dance Club; Spindrifters Square Dance Club, New Smyrna Beach; he also danced in England and all over the United States, Alaska, Minnesota, Ohio, and Arizona. Mr. Brock was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.
Surviving are his son, Dennis Earl Brock of Del City, Okla.; two daughters, Deloris Brock Carlozzi of Sarasota and Debbie Brock Denham of Grafton, Ohio; a sister, Dorothy Klein of Ormond Beach; and five grandchildren.

Dorothy Mae Brunswick, 71, of Crystal River died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River. She was born May 6, 1928, in Hickman, Ky., to Walter and Anna Mae (Stovall) Barr. She came to this area 26 years ago from Ocala. Mrs. Brunswick was the president of the Better Business Federation in Crystal River and was a board member of the Florida Association of Better Business Organizations. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crystal River. She was preceded in death by her husband, "Bill" Brunswick, July 6, 1997, and a daughter, Brenda and son, Danny.
Surviving are one son, Jimmie H. Brunswick of Crystal River; three daughters, Betty Jane Hickman of Union City, Tenn., Linda Mae Denney of Jacksonville, and Dottie Brunswick Teuton of Crystal River; two sisters, Lucille Lahr of Westland, Mich., and Ruth Palmer of Belmont, Miss.; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Bruce Claytor, 36, of Dunnellon
Bruce Allen "Bubba" Claytor, 36, of Dunnellon died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000. He was born to Charlie and Barbara Jean Claytor on March 28, 1963, in Clewiston. He came here as an infant and remained a lifelong resident. He was a 12-year employee at the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing; was a Dunnellon High School graduate and a Florida State Seminole fan. He was Protestant. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Edward Claytor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Betty Ann Claytor; a son, Cody Allen Claytor; and daughter, Britney Leneve Claytor, all of Dunnellon; his mother, Barbara Jean Knecht of Lebanon Station; brothers, Doug Claytor of Inglis and Clay Crosby of Homosassa Springs; sisters, Darlene Pearce of Chiefland, Sharon Dunlap of Bassett, Va., and Leneve Burrell of Williston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She came here seven years ago from Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa. She was a member of Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club. She was an avid bridge player.

Paul J. Ellis, 82, of Floral City died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Eastbrooke Health Care Center, Brooksville. Born in Hicksville, Long Island, N.Y., he moved to the area 29 years ago from Queens, N.Y. He was an operating engineer for Cranes Inc., Maspeth, Queens, N.Y., for 25 years. He was a member of the AFL-CIO Union No. 15 International Union of Operating Engineers, New York City, N.Y.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas of Floral City and Harry of Ronkonkoma, L.I., N.Y.; one brother, William, and three sisters, Lucille, Mary and Theresa, all of Hicksville, L.I., N.Y.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Virginia Ryder Massey, 77, of Homosassa died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000. She was born in Mansfield, Mass., and came to Homosassa six years ago from Norton, Kan. Mrs. Massey was a member of the Suncoast Baptist Church, Homosassa; the Suncoast Baptist Prayer Circle; and was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Jean Marie Thomas, in 1995.
Surviving are her husband of six years, John R. Massey Sr. of Homosassa; three sons, Shawn Antrim of Chestertown, Md., John W. Virginia Geddes, 80, of Inverness
Virginia Millikin Geddes, 80, former resident of Gospel Island in Inverness, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, in New York. Mrs. Geddes was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church during the many years that she resided here. She was also well-known in various clubs and groups, particularly those dealing with her hobby, ceramics.
She is survived by her husband of almost 61 years, Francis E. Geddes, also of New York; two daughters, Ann Ruppel of New York and Virginia Crawford of Lake Mary; a son, Richard Geddes of Wisconsin; a sister, Patricia Millikin of Fort Pierce; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mrs. Geddes was preceded in death by her eldest child, Thomas Francis Geddes, and her brother, John Millikin.

Dr. Robert Martin, 91, formerly of Inverness
Dr. Robert Harrell Martin, D.D.S., 91, formerly of Inverness, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at the Memorial Hospital in Bunnell. Dr. and Mrs. Martin moved to Palm Coast in December 1999 from Inverness. He was born in Ocklawaha on May 22, 1908 to the late Robert and Nora (Harrell) Martin, and came to Inverness in 1933 where he practiced dentistry for 38 years, retiring in 1970. He attended the University of Florida and graduated with honors from Atlanta Southern Dental College (Emory University). He married Verona Creekmore on Dec. 27, 1934, in Plant City. Dr. Martin's affiliations include Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Fraternity, Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity, the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Citrus Masonic Lodge No. 118, Honorary Life member of Florida Sheriff's Association, charter member of the Inverness Golf and Country Club, Friends of the Library, and was the 1996 recipient of the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce Heritage Award. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness, where he was elected Elder Emeritus in 1987.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Verona Creekmore Martin; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Verona M. and Reuben Groom of Palm Coast; two sisters, Inez Kenner and Billie Draper, both of Ocala; granddaughter, Debra Verona Yeh of Palm Coast; and great-granddaughter, Allison Ming Yeh.

Richard Franklyn Natteal, 61, of Crystal River died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000. He was born July 27, 1948, to the late Mrs. Jimmie L. Shackford Natteal and Mr. Strother J. Natteal Jr. He graduated from Booker T. Washington Public School of Citrus County. He also served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1966 to 1969. He was converted in the Pentecostal Church In Christ. He was a member of the Unity Church of Christ Written in Heaven, Crystal River.

Thomas Edwin Suggs, 68, of Floral City died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Citrus Health and Rehab Center in Inverness. Born in Conway, S.C., on Jan. 8, 1932, to the late Rev. Joseph and Martha (Hardee) Suggs, he came here nine years ago from Loris, S.C. Mr. Suggs was retired. He was preceded in death by son Gary Suggs in November 1972.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas E. Suggs of Lake Panasoffkee, Danny J. Suggs and Ricky A. Suggs both of Inverness; two daughters, Tammy Graham of Aynor, S.C., and Debby Willits of Inverness; brother, Carlisle L. Joseph Bilecki, 88, of Floral City
Joseph Peter Bilecki, 88, of Floral City died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Born in Cicero, Ill., on Feb. 15, 1911, to the late Ned and Mary (Janus) Bilecki, he came here almost 30 years ago from Stanley, Wis. Mr. Bilecki was a retired machine shop operator with General Electric with more than 20 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Helen (Gutowski) Bilecki; one son, William J. Bilecki of Wesley Chapel; one sister, Isabel Bilecki of Indian Head Park, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
