Cecelia Ramsey, 76, of Inverness
Cecelia Ramsey, 76, of Inverness, a lifelong resident of Beloit, Wis., who lived in Inverness for six months out of the year, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, in Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale. The daughter of Clyde and Sadie Niles Jay Mitchell, Cecelia married Vernon Jack Ramsey Aug. 10, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1996. Cecelia was a nursing assistant for many years. She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Beloit, Wis., also a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church of Lecanto. She was also a charter member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Beloit, Wis.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (Joseph) Pepitone of Inverness and Cindy (Rick) Garland of Beloit, Wis.; two sons, Larry (Lynette) Ramsey of Port Charlotte and Thomas (Nancy) Ramsey of Inverness; 16 grandchildren, Alice (Wade) Strothman of Beloit, Wis., Penny (Brent) Schmitt of South Beloit, Ill., Peggy (Tim) Yea and Brian Ramsey, both of St. Petersburg, Nanette (Randy) Hundley of Roscoe, Ill., Suzette (Carl) Purvis of Wellington, Kirk (Stephanie) Ramsey of Banner, Ky., Jamison Garland of Beloit, Wis., Kari (Kevin) Rady of Inverness, Leah Garland of Madison, Wis., Karlee Kay Ramsey Pepitone of Inverness, Nicole Garland and Pamela Garland of Beloit, Wis., Amanda, Thomas Jr. and Taabitha Ramsey of Beloit, Wis.; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Vernon (Barry) Ramsey Jr., three sisters and one brother.

Ormond F. Bullis, 92, of Beverly Hills died Monday, March 20, 2000. He was born in Rochester, N.Y., and came to Beverly Hills eight years ago from Fort Lauderdale. Mr. Bullis retired in 1967 from General Dynamics Military Electronics Division. He was Presbyterian.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine Bishop Bullis of Beverly Hills; son, William O. Bullis of Ironton, Mo.; two daughters, Joanne K. Dailor of Beverly Hills and Barbara L. Kessler of Rochester, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Catherine Elizabeth Hadley Francisco, 89, of Citrus Springs died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at Brentwood Health Care Center in Lecanto. Born in Knightsville, Ind., on May 26, 1910, to John and Osia Earley, she came here 13 years ago from Euclid, Ohio. On Aug. 23, 1930, she married Thomas M. Hadley, who died Dec. 18, 1983. She then married Roy Francisco on Oct. 12, 1985.
Surviving are her husband Roy Francisco; one son, Richard M. Hadley of Thompson, Ohio; two daughters, Patricia J. Klein of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Lynne M. Hamilton of Dublin, Ohio; one stepson, Roy Francisco III of Cleveland, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Judy Francisco of Brooksville and Retta Heller of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Paul Earley of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; one sister, Elsie Peacock of Chesterland, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Glenn G. Hutchins, 83, of Hernando died Monday, March 20, 2000, in Ocala. Born in Athens, Ga., he came here in 1980 from St. Petersburg. Mr. Hutchins was a retired independent taxi cab owner/operator. He was a U.S. Army veteran and life member of DAV Post 70, Inverness. He was Baptist.
He is survived by two brothers, James J. of Ocala and Elmer E. of Largo; and two sisters, Betty B. Newby of El Paso, Texas, and Mildred M. Smith of St. Petersburg. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, brothers Bethel ''Jack'' Hutchins, Harmon Hutchins, Arthur Hutchins and Clement Hutchins.

Bernice Lillian Mannion, 59, of Inverness died at home on Sunday, March 19, 2000, following a short illness. Born in Bridgeport, Conn., on March 18, 1941, to Bernard and Lillian (Rubinsky) Soller, she came to Inverness 28 years ago from Huntington, Conn. She was a professional artist and worked as a lounge manager for the Inverness Elks Lodge, the original A.I.D. Club, and Fat Boy's Restaurant Lounge.
Surviving are her husband, ''Terry'' Nigels of Inverness; son, Mark W. Mannion and his wife Lucy of Lecanto; daughter, Patricia Maynard and her husband Dale of Bybee, Tenn.; brother, Keith J. Soller of Fernandina Beach; six grandchildren, Felicia, Dana, Dale, Corey, Audrey and Rachel; her former husband, Wayne Hunter Mannion of Lecanto; and a devoted friend, Joe Broska of Inverness. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne H. Mannion, in March 1958.

Rodney J. Pierce, 61, of Riverhaven Village, Homosassa, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. He was born to Anna L. and Harry L. Pierce on May 26, 1938, in Queens, N.Y. He moved here from Merrick, N.Y., five years ago. He retired from New York Telephone as director of regulatory activities. He was a member of the Men's Club at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Crystal River. He was a member West Citrus Elks Lodge No. 2693 of Homosassa; Loyal Order of Moose No. 2013 of Crystal River; past vice commander of the Coast Guard Flotilla; president of Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 1 Citrus County and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Third Degree.
He is survived by his loving wife Peggy; son, Timothy of West Long Branch, N.J.; daughter, Jennifer Fusco of Montgomery Village, Md.; brother, Richard of Massapequa Park, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Kristen and Anna Pierce both of West Long Branch, N.J., and Dylan and Tyler Fusco both of Montgomery Village, Md.; two aunts, Dorothy Compton of Merrick, N.Y., and Betty Garcia of Brightwater, N.Y.; and one uncle, Willard Pierce of Howard Beach, N.Y.

Anne T. Smith, 76, of Citrus Springs died Sunday, March 19, 2000. She came here 29 years ago from her native Brooklyn, N.Y.
She was a retired teacher in the parochial school system in New York.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Citrus Springs; organist and pianist for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton for 25 years; member of Ladies Auxiliary at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church; Sacristan and Eucharistic minister at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
She was a charter member of Citrus Springs Civic Association; member of Ladies Auxiliary at VFW Edward W. Penno Post 4864 in Citrus Springs; and a member of the AARP.
Mrs. Smith was a reporter and photographer for the Citrus County Chronicle since 1974.
She is survived by her son, Edward M. Smith and his wife Nancy of Lake Hiawatha, N.J.; granddaughter, Anne Marie Smith of Lake Hiawatha, N.J.; and several nephews and nieces.

Robert T. Haller, 74, of Dunnellon died Wednesday, March 22, 2000. He was born in Evansville, Ind., and came here four years ago from Ladies Island, S.C. He was a corporate vice president for an armored car company. He was a World War I U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 58. He was Baptist and attended First Baptist Church of Dunnellon.

He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills. He was a member of the Sunshine Bowling League and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Beverly Hills.

Irene E. Yeary, 86, of Lecanto died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at the Health Center at Brentwood, Lecanto. She was born in New York City on March 17, 1914, to Alexander and Minnie (Yost) Yeary. She came to this area 21 years ago from Greenlawn, Long Island, N.Y. She was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Greenlawn Historical Association, Long Island, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Yeary, in 1989. She was Lutheran.
Surviving are her son, John Yeary of Port Jefferson, L.I., N.Y.; daughter, Carolyn Viafora of Atlantic Beach; sister, Marion Bradicich of California; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Eugene Coleman, 87, of Inverness
Eugene V. Coleman, 87, of Inverness died at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville on Thursday, March 23, 2000. A native of New York, he was born July 24, 1912, to Thomas and Marie (McCormick) Coleman. He moved here 14 years ago from South Carolina, but spent many years in the Bradenton-Sarasota area as a dairy farmer and breeder. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Marvlyn ''Penny'' Coleman of Inverness; son, Barry Coleman of Bloomsbury, N.J.; daughters, Tally Zimmerman of Covington, Ga., and Gayle Hendricks of Cincinnati, Ohio; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gene Coleman.

The Rev. Oliver Cowles, 90,of Lecanto
The Rev. Oliver H. Cowles, 90, of Lecanto died Thursday, March 23, 2000. He was born June 8, 1909, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a resident of Brentwood Retirement Community. He graduated from Hiram College in 1931. He also attended the University of Chicago for one year and graduated from Yale Divinity School in 1937. He retired from the ministry in 1973 after serving 42 years and retained his membership of Westfield Congregational Church in Danielson, Conn., where he served his longest pastorship.
Surviving are his son, Frederich Cowles of South Salem, N.Y.; daughters, Elaine Wiley of Inverness and Cornelia Jasko of Citrus Springs; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Minnie Schray Dingess, 80, of Inverness died Friday, March 24, 2000. She was born in Wyoming County, W.Va., and came to Inverness in 1986 from California. She was a retired steel mill machine operator. She was Apostolic. She was wife of the late Louie Martin Dingess, who died June 13, 1990; and was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther Brown and Don Brown.

Sophie Jablonski, 76, of Inverness died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Born in Portage LaPrarie, Canada, on May 25, 1923, to John E. and Mary (Wonsul) Wacheski. She came here 22 years ago from Sterling Heights, Mich. She was a supervisor with the Michigan Bell Telephone Company with more than 20 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion J. Jablonski, Oct. 19, 1982.
Surviving are four sons, Joseph J. Jordan of Texas, Douglas A. Jordan of Traverse City Bay, Mich., Robert L. Jordan of Allen Park, Mich., and Richard R. Richard Jenks, 89, formerly of Inverness
Richard H. Jenks, 89, of Mountain Lakes, N.J., died Monday, March 13, 2000, at Sarah Frances Nursing Home in Boonton, N.J. Born in Silver City, N.M., he lived in the South Pacific, the Panama Canal Zone and Inverness before moving to Mountain Lakes recently. He worked in copper mining, lumbering, and in the civil service as a generator electrician before retiring in 1971. In Inverness, he was a past president of the Kiwanis Club and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was a 14th generation Mayflower descendent. He loved
woodworking and nature. He was also never too old to plan the next fishing trip. His first wife, Maureen, died in 1975.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline; a daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Dick Hehmeyer of Boonton, N.J.; a grandson and wife, Richard and Pat Heymeyer, and a great-grandson, Jenks, of Montville, N.J.

Harvey Alexander Krause, 91, a winter resident of Inverness from Deckerville, Mich., died Sunday, March 19, 2000. He was a retired farmer and factory worker. He owned and operated Krause's Wayside Inn from 1963 to 1969. He married Laura Katherine Freiburger on Oct. 22, 1928, in Argyle, Mich.; she died Oct. 27, 1968. He then married Gertrude M. Nickel Griffin on May 17, 1969, in Port Sanilac, Mich. He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald Lloyd Krause; brother, Russell Krause and Sister, Ethel Nichol.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Mildred Nickel Krause of Deckerville, Mich.; son, Ronald (Marie) Krause of Snover, Mich.; daughters, Linda (Carl) Sutherland of Mio, Mich., and Judith (Charles) Anderson of White Lake, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several stepchildren; several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. William F. Downs, 88, of Floral City died March 24, 2000, in Memorial Hospital in Tampa. Born in Bardgetown, Ky., on June 6, 1911, to Edward and Marietta Downs, he came here 14 years ago from Melbourne. He retired from the trucking industry. He was a member of the Floral City United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Downs, on April 9, 1998.
He is survived by two sons, William Louis Yeakey of Houston, Texas, and Michael Downs of Miami Beach; two daughters, June of Canada and Gretchen Garfield of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Mitchell Downs of Louisville, Ky.; five sisters, Gertrude Kennedy of Louisville, Ky., Marie Hoffmeister of Louisville, Ky., Mildred Raddy of Louisville, Ky., Rosie West of Louisville, Ky., and Martha Watts of Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
