Harriet M. Eastman, 54, of Homosassa died Monday, April 17, 2000, at the Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River. Born March 3, 1946, to Ralph and Clara (Ponce) Floyd in Jacksonville, she came to this area five years ago from Jacksonville. Mrs. Eastman was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Crystal River. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Coelho, Sept. 18, 1999.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Delbert H. Eastman of Homosassa; son, Vernon Eastman of Homosassa Springs; daughter, Essie Stafford of Homosassa; four brothers, Eugene Floyd of Texas, Ralph Floyd of Jacksonville, Andrew and Leslie Floyd of Middleburg; one sister, Aline Butler of Jacksonville; and four grandchildren, Vernon Wade, Troy Lee, Kenneth and Karen.

Mary Watkins, 90, formerly of Inverness
Mary Ellen Connell Watkins, 90, of Calvert City, Ky., formerly of Inverness, died Sunday, April 16, 2000. She was born in Inverness, the daughter of James Lessie and Anna Mary (Evans) Connell. Mrs. Watkins was a retired school teacher and taught school in Cottondale, Fla., and in Inverness. She was a graduate of Florida State Teachers College for Women. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Benton, Ky. She was a former member and active member of the Cottondale United Methodist Church, Cottondale; She was the wife of the late Mr. Edward L. Watkins, who died May 4, 1969.
Surviving are her two sons, James E. Watkins of Atlanta, Ga., and Charles L. Watkins of Benton, Ky.; daughter, Mary Ellen Alexander of Snellville, Ga.; three granddaughters, Michelle Taliaferro, Megan Watkins and Jenny Alexander; three grandsons, Chuck and Carl Watkins and Tim Alexander; three nieces, Sara Connell Goode of Ocala, Louise Connell Smith, Bettye Connell, both of Inverness; and one nephew, Milton Connell of Orlando.

Robert John Exberger, 82, of Inverness died Thursday, March 30, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Born in Minneapolis, Minn., on April 21, 1917, to John F. and Mary B. (Haas) Exberger, he came here in 1977 from Hudson. Mr. Exberger was a retired plumber. He was Lutheran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Exberger, Oct. 22, 1996.
Surviving are one son, William R. Exberger of Bradenton; one daughter, Linda S. Wing of Edina, Minn.; one brother, Lawrence Exberger of Sunnyvale, Calif.; two sisters, Lillian G. Fahley of Billings, Mont., and Bernice E. Curtis of Austin, Minn.; and four grandchildren.

Betty Agnes Perceval, 85, of Beverly Hills died Monday, April 17, 2000. She was born in Baltimore, Md., and moved to Beverly Hills in 1974 from Island Park, N.Y. Mrs. Perceval was a retired L.P.N. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills. She was wife of the late Mr. Eugene H. Perceval, who died April 11, 1991.
Surviving are her son, Eugene J. Perceval Jr. of Baldwini, N.Y., and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Knivila moved to Inverness in 1996 from Taylor, Mich. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness. She was a member of the American Legion in Ogema, Wis.

Mr. Lathrop was a retired bus driver from RTC Transit Company in Rochester, N.Y. He was a graduate of Middlesex High School. He was a member of the Moose Club. He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Anne Elizabeth Marschall, 82, of Sugarmill Woods, Homosassa, died Tuesday, April 18, 2000. Born in Newark, N.J., she came here 17 years ago from Honolulu, Hawaii. Mrs. Marschall was a former charter member of Sugarmill Woods Women's Club. She was a graduate of Miss Beard's School in Orange, N.J. and Secretarial School in Red Bank, N.J. She was a member of Junior Service League in Orange, N.J., the New Jersey Symphony, Little Women's Club in Red Bank, N.J., Field Hockey Club in Rumson, N.J., Junior Service League in Red Bank, N.J., Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., and member of Hawaii Kai Golf Club in Honolulu, Hawaii.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William P. Marschall of Sugarmill Woods; and two sisters, Barbara E. Williams of St. Petersburg and Phoebe Lethbridge of Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.
A private memorial service will be in New Jersey. Donations may be given to Hospice of Citrus County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Perryman, brother, Wade Langley, sister, Inez Riggs and mother, Annie Langley.

White Sr. and Daisy (Ellsworth) White, he came here in 1973 from St. Petersburg. Mr. White was a retired mobile home installer and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was Protestant.
Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Bozena A. "Zena" White; one son, Rodney C. White of Ocala; two daughters, Teresa A. Cantin of Inverness and Lori N. Diez of Odessa; two sisters, Benita Sherrill of Inverness and Dorothy Rowe of Ocala; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Williams was a Navy veteran of World War II and an Army veteran and POW of the Korean conflict. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was Catholic.

Norman E. Merrell Sr., 86, of Crystal River died Friday morning, April 21, 2000, at home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. He was born in York, Pa., on March 23, 1914, to Vernon and Alta Jones Merrell and came here 20 years ago from Perkiomenville, Pa. Mr. Merrell was a retired aeronautical draftsman working with the Boeing Company in Ridley Park, Pa., for 35 years and a member of the Boeing Management Association. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Crystal River.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nansie Merrell of Crystal River; three sons, Verne Jay Merrell of Illinois, Norman Merrell Jr. of Pennsburg, Pa., and Glenn Anthony Merrell of Lafayette, Colo.; two daughters, Roberta Anne Zerbe and Patricia Ellen Barr both of Crystal River; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
