Edwin Earl Fouraker, 84, of Middleburg, FL, passed away November 10, 2012. He was born on February 11, 1928 in Baldwin, FL to parents Edwin and Jessie Mae (Teston) Fouraker. Mr. Fouraker was a WWII Veteran and served in Japan. He was a former Mason and a former member of the Riverside Lodge in Jacksonville. Edwin was retired from CSX after 38 years of service. He was predeceased by a son, William Allen Fouraker and a sister, Dorothy Barton. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shirley Fouraker of Middleburg; son, Steven (Cindy) Fouraker; daughter, Linda (Larry) McCray; grandson, Joshua Allen McCray; granddaughter, Christina Marie Simmons; great-grandsons, Christian Michael Simmons and Carson Matthew Simmons, all of Jacksonville and niece, Patricia (Erik) Levison of Titusville, FL; he also leaves behind his life time buddy Jack Hogan. Allie T. "Al" Ivey

Allie T. "Al" Ivey, 91, lifetime resident of Clay County, FL passed away November 14, 2012 in Green Cove Springs. He was born in Doctors Inlet, FL on October 24, 1921 to parents Allie Thomas Ivey Sr. and Grace High Ivey. He was a veteran of WWII where he proudly served in the United States Army. Al had been a member of the volunteer fire department in Green Cove Springs for over 30 years, a member of the City Commission for over 20 years and had served as the Mayor of Green Cove Springs for 4 years. He owned and operated Ivey's Service Station which was located at the corner of N. Palmetto and Walnut Streets for 38 years. He had also been an auxiliary deputy for the Clay County Sheriff's Department and was an avid gun collector. Al was predeceased by his wife, Mary Rivers Ivey, in 2004. He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Ivey Brown (Robert) of St. Augustine, and Carmen Chappell (David) of Ponte Vedra Beach; brother, David L. Ivey of Green Cove Springs; grandchildren, Courtney A. Brown, Tayler A. Brown, Logan Curole, Zachary Chappell, Channing Chappell and Regan Chappell. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 18, 2012 between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Lois Marie Babcock
(November 14, 1923 - July 3, 2011)
Lois Marie Babcock, 87, passed away on Sunday July 3, 2011. Lois was a mother and wife of 67 years to Hugh Babcock, Sr. She leaves behind four sons, Hugh Jr., Gary, Roger (Brenda) and Alan; eight grandchildren, Jason, Gennifer, Shannon, Jessica, Sheila, Shelly, Mellissa and Nathan. Lois was the youngest of ten children including brothers, Curtis, Gene, Sam, Raymond and Albert; sisters, Louise, Sally, Rosa and Ruby. All were born at home in Georgia with the exception of Lois who was born in Jacksonville. She worked hard for her children and always supported them whether they were right or wrong. She will be missed. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on July 16, 2011 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 5042 Timuquana Rd. Jacksonville, FL. Patricia B. Maholm of Penney Farms, FL passed away on July 6, 2011. Patricia was born on May 27, 1931 in Englewood, NJ to John Harold and Frances Cornils Baillie. She was a graduate of Edison High School in Miami, FL. Mrs. Maholm established her own business and retired in 1987. Patricia moved to Penney Farms in 2008 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Daniel. Survivors include her sons, James E. "Ted" Spisiak, Jr., John G. Spisiak (Barbara); daughter, Patricia Ellen Aguirre; grandson, John R. Spisiak (Sarah); granddaughter, Crystal E. Dena Mae Lemen
(August 9, 1926 - March 24, 2012)
Dena Mae Lemen, 85, passed away at Penney Retirement Community on Saturday, March 24, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs but had resided at Penney Farms for the last 2 years. She is descended from a long line of American patriots and Florida pioneers. She graduated from Clay High School in 1944 and attended Stetson University in Deland. She enjoyed a career that spanned 30 years at The Bank of Green Cove Springs, retiring in 1984 as Senior Vice President. For the last 26 years she has been traveling with friends and making wonderful memories with her children and grandchildren. She is a lifetime member of the Village Improvement Association (VIA) and Women's Club of Green Cove Springs, Clay County Historical Society and the Florida Sheriff's Association. She is preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Brooker Hall, her father, John Preston Hall, her brother, J. P. Hall, Jr., and her former husband, William Tolin Lemen, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Susan Lemen Williams and son-in-law Larry, her son, William Tolin Lemen, III and former daughter-in-law, Terry. Grandchildren, Amanda Lemen Robey, William Tolin Lemen, IV, Christopher Donley Lemen, Larry Stuart Williams, Jr., Caroline Claire Williams, and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Grace Robey. She is survived by her stepbrothers Allie Ivey and David Ivey, cousin, Eleanor Loner, sister-in-law, Betty Lemen Kenney, and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held at Broadus - Raines Chapel, Green Cove Springs on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Penney Memorial Church, Penney Farms, Florida at 10:00 am with interment immediately following at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Green Cove Springs. Chad Crutchfield
(April 16, 1972 - March 25, 2012)
Chad Amic Crutchfield passed away Sunday morning, March 25th, 2012. In his last days, he was surrounded by many loving friends and family. His wife and great friend, Hooch, held his hands until Chad's 17 month battle with leukemia came to an end. He is finally at peace. Chad was an employee of Miller Electric as a union electrician for the last 22 years. He was the most amazing husband, father, sibling, son and friend. His valiant spirit and positive attitude through this journey inspired all that has had the pleasure of having him in their lives. He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Crutchfield. His children: beautiful daughters, Madison and Kalei Crutchfield, handsome son, Nathan Crutchfield and stepson, Brandon Blansit. His parents: Kelly and Jackie Crutchfield and June Butler. His siblings: Dana Parr (Stacey), Kelly Crutchfield (Lisa), Joel Crutchfield, Chris Crutchfield (Laurie), Todd Crutchfield (Crystal), Joey Butler and Janie Davis. Barbara Marie Rowell, 65, of Middleburg, FL, passed away March 25, 2012. She was born in Wakefield, MA on May 15, 1946 to Daniel and Mary MacLeod. She had moved to Clay County in 1984 from Norfolk, VA was a catholic. She had been very active in the Girl Scouts during the late 80's and early 90's. Barbara was a Relocation Specialist with Watson Realty prior to her illness. She loved knitting and taking weekend trips with her family. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Roger Rowell of Middleburg; daughter, Beth Rowell Walt (husband, Steven) of Middleburg; grandchildren, Shane Matthew Sutton, and Ashlyn Marie Sutton all of Middleburg, FL; sister, Patty Foley Curley (husband, Charlie) of Wakefield, MA; aunts, Frances Cronin of Delaware and Eleanor Higgins of New Hampshire; and was loved by many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth Brown Baker

Elizabeth Brown Baker passed away on March 6, 2012. She was born on February 19, 1925 to Edna Elizabeth Miller Brown and James Raymond Brown in Wheeling, WV. She was the mother of three children, Elisabeth Annette Summers (Steve Howe), Anita Lee Fussell (Bob) and Richard Louis Baker (Diana). Elizabeth was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School Class of 1942. She attended Mt. St. Agnes Jr. College and St. Joseph's Infirmary School of Nursing where she was a Cadet Nurse during World War II. Elizabeth married her husband of 67 years Louis Baker, Jr. in 1945. She was predeceased by her parents and her older brother William Henry Brown. Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband, Lou; her 3 children and brother James R. Brown (Clydie), 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She loved things of beauty, especially those made by God: flowers and trees, birds and butterflies, people and music. Her service in the PTA, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and her beloved Altar Guild were blessings to her. Shirley Mae Wood, 70, passed away February 24, 2012. She was born on July 11, 1941 in Roanoke, VA to Leonard and Annie Aliff. Mrs. Wood had moved to Florida in 1979 from Fredericksburg, VA and attended the Congregational Holiness Church and First Baptist Church of Green Cove Springs. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she will be missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Barbara Rock.
