She was born Aug. 16, 1931, in
Akron, Ohio, and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1992 from Tallmadge,
Ohio.
Mrs. Bolesny was a past president of Veterans of Foreign Wars
Ladies Auxillary Post No. 1070 in
Akron, Ohio.
Surviving are her husband of 4
years, Al; one son, Michael Bolesny
of Vero Beach; one sister, Phillis
Chancey, of Dallas, Ga.; and two
grandchildren.

Harry Samuel, 75, of Micco,
died unexpectedly Jan. 4, 1998, at

He was born Aug. 28, 1922, in
Margate, N.J., and moved to Micco
in 1990 from Downingtown, Pa.
Mr. Samuel was a retired electrician at the Veterans Affairs hospital,
Coatsville, Pa.He was a life member
of Sub Vets, Subvets Inc., and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a
U.S. Navy veteran of World War II
He participated in the first atom
bomb test.
Surviving are one son, Terrance
Samuel, of Montgomery, Ala.; one
daughter, Carla J. Samuel, of Micco;
and one grandchild.

Henry William Hellriegel, 82, of

N.J.
Mr. Hellreigel was a mason in
the construction industry.

N.J.; and three grandchildren.

Laura C. Musselman, 53, of

Ridge, Long Island, N.Y.
Mrs. Musselman was a school
bus driver.She was a member of the

Mr. Mitzel was a member of the
Moose Lodge, Sebastian.

The Rev. James Thurston Powell,

He was born Jan. 21, 1916, in
Boston, Mass., and moved to Brevard County In 1981 from Detroit,
Mich.
The Rev. Powell served United
Church of Christ pastorates in Fitzwilliam, N.H., Sturbridge, Mass.,
New Bedford, Mass., Tewksbury,
Mass. and Detroit prior to retirement. He was a charter member of
United Church of Sebastian, Sebastian, a member of the Men's Club of
the United Church of Sebastian and
an honorary member and chaplain of
Kiwanis Club of Barefoot Bay.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years,
Doris; two sons, Robert Powell, of
Belmont, N.H., and Ronald Powell,
of Barefoot Bay; two daughters, Rebecca Miller, of Loxahatchee, and
Ruth Boudreau, of Rising Sun, Ind.;
one sister, Muriel Jackson, of Decatur, Ga.; six grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.

She was born Feb. 6, 1917, in New
York and moved to Barefoot Bay 14 years
ago from Bridgeton, NJ.
Mrs. Sullivan was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Jerry Sullivan, of
Elmer, N.J.; two grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sullivan will be transferred to Simonson Funeral Home in Richmond Hill,
N.Y., for services. Burial will be in Maple
Grove Memorial Park, Kew Gardens, N.Y.

LeFred Leland Taylor, 62, 5105 85th
St., Wabasso, died Jan. 6, 1998, at Indian
River Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born June 4, 1935, in The Bluffs
of Andros, Bahamas, and moved to Wabasso
35 years ago from the Bahamas.
He was employed with John's Island
Club.
He was a member of Masonic New Palestine Lodge No. 381, Wabasso.

Edmund Correa
Edmund R. "Ed" Correa, 71, of Bay
City, Mich., died Jan. 18, 1998, at Sebastian
River Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Corrca was born Oct. 15, 1926, in
Hilo, Hawaii, and was a winter resident of
Sebastian for the past 12 years.
He was a painter at Dow Chemical in
Midland, Mich., for 36 years, a member of
the Moose Lodge No. 1767 in Sebastian,
and a veteran of the Navy Seabees in World
War II.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; one son,
Melvin Correa of Bay City, Mich.; one
daughter, Darlene Dammer of Linwood,
Mich.; two stepsons, Don Rauschenberger
of Auburn, Mich., and Jeff Rauschenberger
of Bay City, Mich.; three brothers, Melvin
Correa and David Correa, both of Hawaii,
and Buster Correa of Colorado; three sisters,
Vera Victorino, Kathleen Mitchler and
Vema Kinney, all of California, Mildred
Spencer of Oregon and Shirley Ekstrom of
Minnesota; six grandchildren and three
step-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Jan. 22 at
the Shady Rest Clubhouse in Sebastian with
the Rev. Carl Bray officiating.

1981 from Brockton, Mass.
Mr. Gorman wasp a pressman for the
Boston Globe in Boston, Mass. He was a
member of Sebastian Elks Lodge and Barefoot Bay Golf Club.
Surviving are his wife, Rose; and one sister, Clo Filgate, of Barefoot Bay.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Jan.

Raymond Anthony "Ray" Verdelotti Sr.,

Mr. Verdelotti was a general contractor
in the construction industry. He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 1767, Sebastian,

Surviving are his wife, Vera; a son and
stepson in Florida; three children in Rhode
Island; one brother in Rhode Island; and
one sister in Las Vegas, Nev.

Mrs. Young was an insurance
underwriter for more than 20 years
in Miami.She was named Sebastian's "Woman of the Year" in 1992.
She was a member of the Indian
River Genealogical Society; American Association of Retired Persons
and Take Off Pounds Sensibly, all of
Vero Beach, and Sebastian Computer Club. Mrs. Young served as
the regional coordinator for the
Serving Health Insurance Needs of
Elders program and donated her
time to the Crisis Hotline, both of
Vero Beach. She was a member of
Sebastian United Methodist Church
Sebastian.She was a board member
of the Sebastian Historical Society.
Surviving arc her husband, Bob;

Mrs. Gutekunst was a homemaker. She was a member of Roseland Methodist Church, Roseland.

Brian C. Clark, 47, of Bangor,
Maine, died Dec. 20, 1997, at his home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1950, in Old Town, Maine.
He was an investment broker for
Means Investment Co., Bangor.
Surviving is his wife, Barbara; two
daughters, Michele Clark and Nichole Clark, both of Glenburn, Maine;
his mother, Joyce Clark, Barefoot
Bay; his father, Leon LaForrest, Sebastian; a brother, Scott Clark, and a
sister, Judy Anderson, both of Kenduskeag.
Services were held Dec. 22 at the
East Orrington Congregational
Church, East Orrington, Maine.
