Josephine Belmonte
Josephine Belmonte, 87, of Sebastian, died July 29, 1997, at Indian River Village Care Center, Vero Beach, after a prolonged illness. She was born Nov. 28, 1909, in Italy, and moved to Sebastian 10 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. Mrs. Belmonte was a home maker and a Catholic. Surviving are one son, Anthony Belmonte, of Sebastian; two sisters, Angie Luchesse and Anna DeBenidetto, both of Bronx, N.Y.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Aug. 2 at Cox-Gifford Funeral Home, Vero Beach.

Jeanne Yates
Jeanne Yates, 63, of Sebastian, died July 29, 1997, at Sebastian River Medical Center, Roseland, after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 6, 1933, in Sommerville, Mass., and moved to Sebastian in 1996 from Raymond, N.H. Mrs. Yates was an administrator at Sanders Associates, Nashua, N.H., for 10 years.She was a musician and attended the Boston Conservatory of Music, Boston. Surviving are her husband of 44 years, John; two sons, Brian Yates, of Pompton Lakes, N.J., and Doug las Yates, of Hudson, N.H.; one daughter, Sharon Baker, of Nitro, W.Va.; and four grandchildren. A memorial service was held Aug. 1 at the Strunk Funeral Home Chapel, Sebastian, with the Rev. Tom Golladay officiating.

Robert Grover
Robert Matthew "Bob" Grover, 37, of Micco, died July 31, 1997, at Sebastian River Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born July 9, 1960, in Mount Holly, N.J., and moved to Micco in 1988 from Pemberton, N.J. Mr. Grover was owner and operator of Bob's Discount Trees, Micco,for the past two years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Pemberton, and Laborers International Union of Noith America, Local No. 172.He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Surviving are his parents, Joseph and Agnes Grover, of Micco; and four brothers, John J. Grover and Mark A. Grover, both of Sebastian, Jeffrey S. Grover, of Pemberton, and Gary F. Grover, of Browns Mills, NJ. A funeral service was held Aug. 4 at the Strunk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev.Ralph Rivers officiating.Interment followed at Sebastian Cemetery, Sebastian, with military honors conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 10210, and the American Legion, Post 189, both of Sebastian. Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, was in charge of arrangements.

Reuel Brockway
Reuel Delmar Brockway, 78, of Sebastian, died Aug. 2, 1997, at Indian River Memorial Hospital after a prolonged illness. He was born Aug. 22, 1918, in Conneaut, Ohio, and had been a resident of Sebastian for 30 years, moving here from Saybrook, Ohio. Mr. Brockway was a former co-owner of Brockway Furniture Store from 1947 to 1963 in Ashtabula, Ohio, and the former owner of Brockway Trailer Park in Wabasso. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wabasso, where was an usher and secretary of the Men's Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Department of Defense as an engineer. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Janet; a daughter, Susie Morgan of Sebastian; a son, Dennis Brockway, of Grant; four grandchildren; and 3 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held Aug. 7 at the Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, with the Rev. Jerry Cooper, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Wabasso, officiating. Burial followed at Sebastian Cemetery.

Norman Reukauf
NormanW. Reukauf, 69, of Sebastian, died Aug. 2, 1997, at his residence after a prolonged illness. He was born Oct. 22, 1927, in West Seneca, N.Y., and moved to Sebastian in 1993 from North Boston, N.Y. Mr. Reukauf was a retired barber. He was a member of the First Church of God in Vero Beach, and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Dorothy; three sons, John Reukauf, of Leon, N.Y., Peter Reukauf, of North Boston, and James Reukauf, of Lakeland; one daughter, Marilyn Holt, of Ormond Beach; five brothers; four sisters; and five grandchildren. At the family's request, there will be no repose or visitation. Cornelius Bomhoff
Cornelius Bomhoff, 94, of Barefoot Bay, died July 31, 1997, at West Melbourne Health Care Center, West Melbourne, after a prolonged illness. He was born Nov. 2, 1902, in the Netherlands, and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1977 from Key Largo. Mr. Bomhoff was a self-employed barber in Miami Springs. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Oleta No. 145, Miami Springs. Surviving are one sister, Janne Rooge, of the Netherlands; and one niece, Corry Besterveld, of the Netherlands. A memorial service was held Aug.Aug. 7 at Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home, 7303 Babcock St. S.E., Palm Bay. The family suggests donations be made to Micco Volunteer Fire Department, 301 Barefoot Blvd., Barefoot Bay, Fla. 32976 in Mr. Bomhoff's memory. Albert Fischer
Albert Paul Fischer, 56, of Sebastian, died Aug. 2, 1997, at his residence after a prolonged illness. He was born Dec. 8, 1940, in New Rochelle, N.Y., and moved to Sebastian 11 years ago from Montauk, N.Y. Mr. Fischer was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his sister, Rosemarie Ross, of Warren, R.I. At the family's request, there will be no repose or visitation. No services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to VNA Hospice, 1111 36th St., Vero Beach, Fla. 32960, in Mr. Fischer's memory. Mr. Fischer was a member the Indian River Cremation Society.

Theodore Green
Theodore C. "Ted" Green, 75, of Roseland, died Aug 1, 1997, in Micco after a prolonged illness. He was born Feb. 8, 1922, in Ottawa, Ill., and moved to Roseland 20 years ago from Streator, Ill. Mr. Green was a construction laborer. He was a Catholic and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the China Burma-India Veterans Association. Surviving are two sisters and a brother. A funeral was held Aug. 5 at the Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, with the Rev. Tim Sockol officiating. Burial followed at Winter Beach Cemetery with Military Honors by the VFW Post No. 10210 and American Legion Post No. 189, both of Sebastian.

Robert Tompkins
Robert James Tompkins Jr., 62, of Sebastian, died Aug. 1, 1997, at Sebastian River Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 25, 1934, in Washington, D.C., and moved to Sebastian two years ago from Cape Coral. Mr. Tompkins before retiring was a special agent with the Federal Bureau of investigation for 25 years in Chicago, Ill. and Fort Lauderdale.He graduated from Benjamin Franklin College in Washington, D.C., and served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. Surviving are his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Melanie Murrell of Thurmont, Md., and Laura Smith of Ashburn, Va.; a sister, Roberta Gargiulo, of Cape Coral; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Aug. 4 at Aycock Funeral Home Chapel, 6026 N. U.S. 1, Fort Pierce. Robert Lehman
RobertM. Lehman, 71, of Barefoot Bay, died July 31, 1997, at Indian River Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 6, 1926, in Englewood, N.J. Mr. Lehman was a postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service in Cresskill, NJ. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member and past commander of American Legion Post No. 21, Camp Merritt, Cresskill. He was also a member of the Postmasters Association and the Federal Employees Retired Association. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Marie; threedaughters, Judith Strickle, of PalmBay, Virginia Arterburn, of Pearl River, N.Y.,and Leslie Gilert Lehman, of Prairie Village, Kan.; one brother, Martin Lehman, of Cresskill; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. l6 at St.Lukes Catholic Church, Barefoot Bay. Turner Simanton
Turner William Simanton, 75, of Sebastian, died Aug. 7, 1997, at his residence after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Ashland, Ohio, and moved to Sebastian 28 years ago from Jeromesville, Ohio. Mr. Simanton was retired after 20 years as a printer with the Garber Co., Ashland. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are his daughter, Shirley Cole, of Largo; and four grandchildren. Adeline Grimmett
Adeline J. Grimmett, 78, of Sebastian, died Aug. 1, 1997, at Sebastian River Medical Center, Roseland, after a prolonged illness. She was born April 1, 1919, in Chicago, and moved to Sebastian in 1980 from Miami. Surviving is her husband, James. There will be no services. Inurnment will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Stella Eddy
Stella Eddy, 67, of Barefoot Bay, died unexpectedly Aug. 9, 1997, in St. Augustine. She was born March 8, 1930, in Scranton, Pa., and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1987 from Middletown, Conn. Mrs. Eddy was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, Homemakers Club and Polish American Club, all of Barefoot Bay. Surviving are her husband, Reed; three sons, Richard Eddy, of Colchester, Conn., Glen A. Eddy, of Middletown, Conn., and Alan R. Eddy, of Long Beach, Miss.; and three grandchildren. Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach is in charge of arrangements.

Shirley Oriend
Shirley M. Oriend, 65, of Barefoot Bay, died unexpectedly July 29, 1997, at her residence. She was born Feb. 19, 1932, in Utica, N.Y., and was a winter resident for many years before moving to Florida two years ago. Mrs. Oriend was a bookkeeper for Euclid Enterprises, Syracuse, N.Y. Surviving are her husband, Patsy; three sons, Bruce Smith, of North Syracuse, N.Y., Jeffery Oriend, of Florida, and Patrick Oriend, of Virgin Islands; three daughters, Laurie Oriend, of Syracuse, Kathryn Gulliksen, of Clay, N.Y., and Nikki Slater, of Waterloo, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Aug. 1, 1997, in Syracuse, N.Y. Hollis Funeral Home, Syracuse, was in charge of arrangements.

Clarence Bartlett
Clarence L. "Shorty" Bartlett, 83, 1023 E. Barefoot Circle, Barefoot Bay, died unexpectedly Aug, 15, 1997, at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, N.H. He was born July 9, 1914, in Derry, N.H., and moved to Barefoot Bay nine years ago from his birthplace. Mr. Bartlett owned and operated Bartlett's Corner Grocery Store in Derry for 17 years.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club and a founding stockholder and longtime member of the Hoodkroft Country Club. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Yvonne; a son, Robert Bartlett, of Barefoot Bay; a daughter, Nancy Levandowski, of Palm Beach Gardens; two sisters, Helen Garvin, of Derry and Louise Nugert, of Londonderry, N.H.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Barefoot Bay. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.

Veronica Sinkiewich
Veronica Julie "Ronnie" Sinkiewich, 77, of Barefoot Bay, died Aug. 17, 1997, at her residence after a prolonged illness. She was born Aug. 26, 1919, in Lawrence, Mass., and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1995. She was a waitress for Bachman, Harry Freedman Catering Service, Lawrence. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lawrence. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Michael; a daughter, Mary Murphy, of Palm Bay; a son, Andrew Sinkiewich, of Lawrence; two sisters, Agnes C. Davis, of Melbourne, and Florence McCallion, of Lawrence; two brothers,, Frank Cantwell and Bobbie Cantwell, both of Lawrence; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Afuneral Mass was held Aug. 21 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Barefoot Bay. Dorothy Ward
Dorothy S. "Dottie" Ward, 85, of Barefoot Bay, died Aug. 7, 1997, at her residence. She was born Sept. 12, 1911, in Port Allegheny, Pa., and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1981 from her birthplace. Mrs. Ward was a vice president at a savings and loan in Virginia. She served as a Civil Servant during World War II, in charge of supplying ships in the Pacific Theater out of San Francisco. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach, and the Eastern Star. Surviving are two sisters, Nan Haler, of Penora, Iowa, and Karen Boran, of Hillard, Ohio; and one brother, Robert Sherer, of Port Allegheny. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Aug. 26 at First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach. Officiating will be the Rev. Bill Thompson and Robert Welch. Isabelle Hulse
Isabelle Raynor Hulse, 83, of Sebastian, died unexpectedly Aug. 18, 1997, at her residence. She was born Dec. 3, 1913, in Greenport, N.Y., and moved to Sebastian in 1959, from her birthplace. Mrs. Hulse was a member of Sebastian United Methodist where she served as custodian for 30 years. Surviving are her son, Alan Hulse, of Sebastian; a sister, Mildred Tuthill, of West Plains, Mo.; and one grandson. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Aug. 24 at Sebastian United Methodist with the Rev.Roy Harris officiating. Dana Moulton
Dana W. Moulton, 80, of Barefoot Bay, died Aug. 14, 1997, at Sebastian River Med ical Center, Roseland, after a brief illness. He was born April 29, 1917, in Salem, Mass., and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1980 from Beverly, Mass. Mr. Moulton was a retired manager for Stop & Shop Grocery in Boston. He was a member of Barefoot Bay Golf and Country Club, the Thursday Morning Shuffleboard Club, and the Quarter Century Club for Stop & Shop in Boston. Surviving are his wife, Marcella; four sons, Dana W. Moulton Jr., of Beverly, Richard E. Moulton, of Peabody, Mass., Donald J. Moulton, of Denver, Colo., and Gary P. Moulton, of Micco; four daughters, Carol A. Reven, of Appleton, Maine, Lois G. Thompson, of Fort Lauderdale, Kathleen Doucette, of Coral Springs, and Debra Houasse, of Sebastian; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held Aug. 18 at Fountainhead Memorial Park. Tommie Williams
Tommie E. Williams, 91, 8725 64th Ave., Wabasso, died Aug. 6, 1997, at her residence after a prolonged illness. She was born May 19, 1906, in Caryville, and moved to Wabasso 50 years ago from her birthplace. Mrs. Williams was a member of Church of God, Wabasso. Surviving are two daughters, Alneather Davis, of Vero Beach, and Aletha Hawkins, of Clearwater; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Church of God, 8410 64th Ave., Wabasso. A funeral service was held Aug. 16 at Church of God with the Rev. Charles Marcelle officiating.Burial will be at Wabasso Cemetery. Stevens Brothers Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Wayne A. King
Wayne A. King, 71, 5750 River grove Drive, Sebastian, died Aug. 21, 1997, at his residence after a brief illness. He was born June 18, 1926, in Oneonta, Ala., and moved to Sebastian in 1985 from Fort Lauderdale. Mr. King worked for United Air lines for 33 years.He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10210, Eagles Aerie No. 4067 and Fraternal Order of Orioles Nest No. 272, all of Sebastian. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Sara; two sons, Gary King, of Port St. Lucie, and Greg King, of West Palm Beach; a daughter, Carol Hooper, of Granite Falls, N.C.; a stepson, Gary Ellis, of Melbourne; two sisters, Ina King and Rena King, both of Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, Harley King, of Birmingham; and eight grandchildren.
