Mary E. Platt, 95, of Roseland,
died Feb. 2, 1997, at Mariner
Health Care, Melbourne, after a
prolonged illness.
She was born Aug. 13, 1901, in
Jackson, Mich., and moved to Roseland in 1970 from Ann Arbor, Mich.
Miss Platt worked for the Chrysler Corp. for 20 years. She was a
member of the First Baptist Church
of Sebastian.
Surviving is her niece, Joretta
Meeth, of Marcellus, Mich.
Miss Platt will be transferred to
Patience-Montgomery Funeral

David Lundberg
David L. Lundberg, 77, of Sebastian, died Jan. 30, 1997, at Sebasdan River Medical Center after a
brief illness.
He was born Nov. 19, 1919, in
Pittsburgh, Pa., and moved to Sebastian 21 years ago from New Haven, Conn.
Mr. Lundberg was employed by
the Press Journal and was a member of Iron Workers Local No. 424
of New Haven, Conn.
He was a captain in the U.S.
Army during World War II.
Mr. Lundberg is survived by
three sons, David C. Lundberg, of
Scottsdale, Ariz., Jon L. Lundberg,
of Madison, Conn., and Harold J.
Lundberg, of Guilford, Conn.; one
daughter, Donna Godwin of Rocky
Point, N.Y.; eight grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchildren.
At the family's request, there
will be no repose or visitation.

Ray Thompson
Ray Thompson, 79, of Sebastian,
died Jan. 29, 1997, at Indian River
Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born April 13, 1917, in
Lexington, Mo., and moved to Sebastian in 1980 from St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Thompson was a pipe fitter
and member of Local 562, St. Louis,
for 26 years. He was a member of
Sebastian Lodge No. 232 of the
Free and Accepted Masons, and a
member of the Orchid Society, St.
Louis. He was a U.S. Army veteran
of World War II.
Surviving are one son, John
McKeon, of St. Louis; a sister, Dorothy H. Hersig, of Arizona; five
grandchildren; and four great
grandchildren.

31 at the Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, by Sebastian Lodge No.

Robert James King, 67, of Sebastian, died Feb. 3,1997, at the Vet

Beach 51 years ago from Rochester,
N.Y.
Mr. King was a retired accountant. He was a member of Our Living Lord Lutheran Church, Vero
Beach. He attended Concordia
Seminary, Springfield, Ill., and Capital University, Columbus, Ohio.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran
of World War II.
Surviving are his mother, Ruth

Sebastian from 1968-94.
Mrs. Beyer was a licensed practical nurse at Wright-Patterson Air
Force Hospital for 25 years.
She was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Sebastian. She
was a U.S. Army veteran of World
War II.
Surviving are one sister, Lela
Ferguson of Springfield, Ohio;
eight grandchildren; several great-
grandchildren; and several great-
great-grandchildren.

Jeffrey A. Austin, 33, of Sebastian, died Feb. 8,1997, at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach,
after a prolonged illness.
He was born June 25, 1963, in
Toledo Ohio, and moved to Sebastian in 1983 from his birthplace.
Mr. Austin was a construction
worker.

Victoria A. "Vickie" Cooper, 81,
of Barefoot Bay, died Feb. 5,1997,
at South View Hospital, Dayton,
Ohio, after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 7, 1915, in
Pottsville, Pa., and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1964 from Springfield,
Ohio.
Mrs. Cooper worked at the Kennedy Space Center as a technical librarian for the Boeing Co. from
1967-1981. She was a member of
Roseland United Methodist
Church, Roseland.

Richard Sikes
Richard Allen Sikes, 51, of Fellsmere, died unexpectedly Feb. 5,
1997, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 5,1945, in
Vero Beach, and moved to Fellsmere from his birthplace.
Mr. Sikes was a drill press operator at Piper Aircraft, Vero Beach,
since 1967. He was a member of
First Baptist Church, Fellsmere. He
was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife of 29
years, Carol; two daughters, Julie
Thornton, of Vero Beach, and Melissa Schmidt, of Oklahoma City,
Okla.; his mother, Irene Cann and
stepfatber, John H. Cann, both of

Loretta Gertrude Green, 85, of

Vernon McLemore, 78, of Barefoot Bay and Charlotte, N.C., died
Feb. 15, 1997, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
He was born Sept. 17, 1918, in
Columbia, S.C., and was a winter
resident of Barefoot Bay.
Mr. McLemore served in the
U.S. Navy's submarine division during World War II and was retired
from the property and sales depart.

Mr. McClain retired after 40 years as a salesman for
National Cash Register Co. He was a member of St.
Luke Catholic Church, Woodburn, and was a U.S.
Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Lorayne; two stepdaughters,
Margaret Gray, of Sebastian, and Ann Clark, of Beaverton, Ore,; one brother, Robert McClain, of California; and one sister, Jane McClain, of California.

Gino P. Setti, 77, of Barefoot Bay, died unexpectedly Feb. 16,1997, at Sebastian River Medical Center,

He was born June 4, 1919, in Sommerville, Mass.,
and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1982 from New York
state.
Mr. Setti was a retired builder. He was a member
of the U.S. Navy Air Corps, the Empire State Club,
Over 60 Softball League, Barefoot Bay, and Barefoot
Bay Bowling Club.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline; one daughter, Patricia L. Douville, of Rapids, S.D.; one brother, John
Setti, of Pennsylvania; one sister, Gina Keane, of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren.

department at the Manhattan and Bronx
Transit Authority in New York City for 25

York.
