FORT PIERCE - John Miro Dvorak, 75, of Fort Pierce died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, at his home.
A native of Prague, Czechoslovakia, he lived in Fort Pierce for 14 years. He moved here from San Diego.
He was a musician and concert conductor and taught musical science.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Eagles Lodge and Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Celine Townsend Dvorak of Fort Pierce.

August A. Guida
STUART - August A. Guida, 73, of Stuart died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, in Martin Memorial Medical Center.
A native of Elizabeth, N.J., he lived in Stuart for eight years. He moved here from Queens, N.Y.
Before retirement, he owned and operated a flooring business in Queens for 50 years.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He attended St. Christopher's Catholic Church, Hobe Sound. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joan Guida of Stuart; a son, Joseph James Guida of New Paltz, N.Y.; a daughter, Anne Anderson of Singapore; and three grandchildren.

STUART - Caroline H. Johnson, 85, of Stuart died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at Mariner Health of Palm City.
A native of Pittsburgh, she lived in Stuart for 21 years. She moved here from Phoenixville, Pa.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Literary Council in Stuart.
She was a volunteer at Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart.
She enjoyed bowling, reading, cooking and traveling.
Survivors include a brother, Fred Hawie of Connecticut; two sisters, Lillian Hawie of Connecticut and Evelyn LaCroix of Stuart; three sons, Charles and James Johnson, both of Phoenixville, and Paul Johnson of California; a daughter-in-law, Eva Johnson of Phoenixville; a brother-in-law, Andrew LaCroix of Stuart; and five grandchildren.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at All County Funeral Home & Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel, Stuart.

Frederick Lister
PALM CITY - Frederick Raymond Lister, 72 , of Palm City and Oneonta, N.Y., died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, at his home.
He was a native of Yonkers, N.Y.
Before retirement in 1992, he worked at Bresee's Oneonta Department Store for 25 years. He later worked part time at Wal-Mart in Oneonta.
He served in the Navy and Army during World War II.
He was a member of Mount Vision Bible Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen Dumich Lister, on March 12, 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Alta J. Lister of Oneonta; a daughter, Linda Eldridge and husband James of Palm City; a sister, Margaret Purdy of Upland, Calif.; and a granddaughter.

FORT PIERCE - Bruce Charles Ryall, 81, of Fort Pierce died Thursday, Oct. 29, 1998.
A native of Sebastian, he lived in Fort Pierce for 48 years. He moved here from Sebastian.
Before retirement, he was an electrician.
He served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
He was a past commander of Stephen N. Gladwin Post 40 American Legion, and a member of AmVets Post 15 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8058, all in Fort Pierce. He was a 1936 graduate of Vero Beach High School.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Ryall of Fort Pierce; three sons, Charles L. Ryall of Bakersfield, Calif., Raymond B. Ryall of Old Town, Fla., and Robert A. Ryall of Fort Pierce; a sister, Mary Howard of Vero Beach; and nine grandchildren.

STUART - Jean A. Hostetler, 71, of Stuart died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, in Kennett Square, Pa.
A native of Media, Pa., she lived in Stuart for 18 years. She previously lived in Chester County, Pa.
Before retirement, she was a lab technician at DuPont Co., Newark, Del., for 24 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Stuart.
She enjoyed swimming, knitting and working with ceramics.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth H. Hostetler; two sons, LeRoy F. Houck III of Kennett Square and Marvin Milton Houck of Benton, Ky.; three stepsons, Donald and Gary Hostetler, both of Kennett Square, and Ricky Hostetler of Oxford, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Janice Madonna of Kennett Square and Lorraine Skelton of R.D. Coatesville, Pa.; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was at Kuzo & Gofus Funeral Home, Kennett Square.
Burial will be private.

STUART - Ernest J. Pomeroy Sr., 51, of Stuart died Friday, Oct. 30, in Martin Memorial Hospital South, Port Salerno.
A native of Point Pleasant, N.J., he lived in Stuart for seven years. He moved here from Toms River, N.J.
He was a heavy equipment operator with CDR Heavy Construction North in Stuart for three years.
He was a member of the Salvation Army.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Pomeroy of Eudora, Ark.; a son, Ernest Pomeroy Jr. of Stuart; his father, James Pomeroy of Stuart; three brothers, Bradley Pome roy of Stuart, James Pomeroy and wife Judy of Seaside, N.J., and Richard Pomeroy of Bricktown, N.J.; and three sisters, Dorine Lamboy and husband George of Patterson, N.J., Wanda Pomeroy of Bricktown and Coleen Pomeroy of Toms River.

Before retirement, she owned and operated Abagail's Florist for five years.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Donald H. Roberts of Fort Pierce; three sons, Randy Lynch of Port St. Lucie and Tracy and Michael Roberts, both of Fort Pierce; two daughters, Tamara Segobia of Albin, Texas, and Donnie Jo Roberts of Victoria, Texas; and 15 grandchildren.
