William A. McClay, 86, of Brooksville, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at home.
He was born in Burlington, Mass., and moved to this area 21 years ago from Stoneham, Mass. He retired after 25 years as a mechanic for Smyly Buick, Malden, Mass. He was a member of High Point Golf Club and a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Edna; two sons, David F. McClay of Santa Cruz, Calif., and William A. McClay Jr. of Woburn, Mass.; a brother, Robert O. McClay of Woburn; and three grandchildren.

Vernon P. Yancey, 86, of Floral City, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Herron, Ill., and moved to this area 24 years ago from Crown Point, Ind. He was a retired journeyman iron worker of 44 years, and a member of Masonic Lodge 157, Lake Lodge of Crown Point and Eden Baptist Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; four sons, Jesse Yancey of Brooksville, Richard Yancey of Crown Point, and Ronald Yancey and Frank P. Yancey, both of Floral City; a stepdaughter, Glenda Langworthy of Brooksville; a sister, Evelyn Chamness of Carbondale, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Gerry Gallant, 76, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville.
He was born in Rumford, Maine, and moved to this area four years ago from New England. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge and the Elks, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two sons, Thomas of Tilton, N.H., and James of Tampa; five daughters, Patricia Mitchell of Westminster, Mass., Denise Jailet of New Hampshire, Janice Greenwood of Gardener, Mass., and Collete Costa and Karen, both of Massachusetts; two brothers, Emile and Roland, both of Massachusetts; and nine grandchildren.

George D. Henszey, Sr., 66, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and moved to this area three years ago from Bechtelsville, Pa. He was a retired mechanic for Great American Knitting Mill, Bally, Pa., a member of Moose Lodge 521, Spring Hill, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Joan A.; three sons, George, Jr. of Bernville, Pa., Richard of Peoria, Ariz., and Patrick of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Elizabeth Fronheiser of Bally; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Mario 'Bob White' Bianco, 80, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001 at his home.
He moved to this area 14 years ago from his native Rochester, N.Y. He was a retired fleet investigator for the Rochester New York City School District. He was a Pacific Theater of War U.S. Army veteran, having served five years as a military police officer, a member of the YMCA, 35-year member of the Hernando SportsmanŐs Club, and VFW Post 2691, Rochester, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene; two sons, James and Robert, both of Rochester; a daughter, Linda Tambe of Rochester; a brother, Carmen of Webster, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

Rudolf K. Berger, 96, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001 at Heartland of Brooksville.

Survivors include a son, Rudolf of Brooksville; a daughter, Elsie Thomas of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Lillian M. Valerio, 78, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
She was born in Yatesville, Pittston, Pa., and moved to this area two years ago from Ambler, Pa. She was a secretary for the Plastica Company and a member of the New Jersey Club, Spring Hill, and St. MaryŐs Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony C.; two stepdaughters, Deborah Voutsinas of Upper Darby, Pa., and Arlene Newlin of Wyncote, Pa.; a brother, Joseph Molinaro of Lansdale, Pa.; two sisters, Frances Ambrosia of Lansdale and Antoinette Granieri of New Smyrna Beach; and three grandchildren.

He was born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Rochester Hills, Mich. He was a retired automotive process engineer, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Michigan Club, Spring Hill, and a Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie; a son, Stephen of Austin, Texas; and a daughter, Lorna Jean Stemarie of Dearborn, Mich.

Albert J. Hatcher, 91, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville.
He was born in Cedar Key, Fla., and moved to this area two years ago from Chiefland, Fla. He was the retired owner of a general store, Hudson, after 20 years.
Survivors include his daughter, Gerry Dougherty of Spring Hill; two brothers, Zeno and Lonzie, both of Chiefland; a sister, Eunice Christy of Bayonet Point; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

Joseph John Sheesley, 22, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003 in Spring Hill.
He moved to this area 17 years ago from Elmira, N.Y. He was a graduate of Springstead High School and for the past three years was an ASE Certified Master Technician. He was employed with Gulfview Motors. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, fishing and rifling. He was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Faith Ann; his son, Joseph Tyler of Spring Hill; his parents, John E. and Jacquelyn M. of Spring Hill; a brother, Andrew A. of Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and a sister, Brett Suzanne Marsh of Hudson, Fla.

Albert H. "Popeye" Welpe, 62, of Weeki Wachee, died Thurday, Oct. 2, 2003 at Tampa General Hospital.
He moved to this area 13 years ago from Utica, N.Y. He was a Utica Transit Authority driver for 10 years, a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion in Utica, N.Y. and Spring Hill, and Episcopalian by faith. He also loved hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie; a daughter, Patience Hope Arey of Utica, N.Y.; two brothers, Gerald and Frank, both of Utica, N.Y.; and four sisters, Joan Facola, Patricia, Karen Cox, and Laurie Welpe, all of Utica, N.Y.

Evelyn Maxine Reaume, 79, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Yale, Mich., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Detroit, Mich. She was a retired clerical worker, past member of VFW Post 2297 Ladies Auxiliary, Lakeland, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include her husband, George A.; a son, Richard William of Warren, Mich.; two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.

William A. Strosahl Sr., 80, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Honesdale, Pa., and moved to this area 22 years ago from Candor, N.Y. He was a heavy equipment operator and after retirement, worked for the town of Candor maintenance department. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran, a member of the Moose, Owego, N.Y., and American Legion Post 907, Candor, and former member of the VFW, Owego.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn; three sons, William A. Jr. of Candor, Donald of Ocala and Ronald of Holly Hill, Fla.; three daughters, Rebecca Wiley of Joplin, Mo., Lorraine Perkins of Normal, Ill., and Vickie Ebert of Pittsburgh, Pa.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was formerly employed by Weeki Wachee Spring for 19 years, worked on the Tourism Committee of Hernando County, was past mayor of Weeki Wachee, and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include three sons, Robert and Edward, both of Spring Hill, and William of Ft. Lauderdale; four daughters, Janet Cordero of Coram, N.Y., and Kathleen Morton, Margaret Hunt and MaryBeth, all of Spring Hill; a brother, Thomas Purcell of Waldon, N.Y.; a sister, Dorothy McLaughlin of Weehawken, N.J.; and 13 grandchildren.
