Born in West Virginia, she came here 12 years ago from Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She was a homemaker and attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Spring Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Alfonso; three sons, Ben LoCastro of Palm Coast, Fla. and Barry LoCastro and John Ortiz, both of Spring Hill; four daughters, Florence LoCastro of Spokane, Wash., Linda Figucia of Dracut, Mass.; Gloria Conner and Donna Draganchuck, both of Spring Hill; one sister, Minnie Hawkenberry of Long Island, N.Y; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Theresa Sequin, 68, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005 while under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Brooksville. A native of Detroit, she came to the area in 1984.
Sequin was Jewish by faith and worked as a front desk clerk at the Weeki Wachee Holiday Inn.
She is survived by her husband, Edmund; son, Richard Poda of Spring Hill; stepdaughter, Linda Calvird of Trenton, Mich.; two brothers, Merrill Morganroth of Ferndale, Mich. and Victor Morganroth of Warren, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

Frank Henry Bachteler, 81, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
He was born in Watervliet, N.Y., and moved to this area nine years ago from Blakley, Ga. He was an electrical estimator for Lykes Pasco, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, life member and commander of DAV District 5, life member of National Order of Trench Rats, a member of International Order of St. Luke the Physician and the Share Club at Memorial Hospital, and was an Episcopalian by faith.
Survivors include three sons, Frank H. Bachteler III of Dunnellon, Paul H. Bachteler of Ayer, Mass., and Carl A. Albert Thomas, 80, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.
He was born in Sugarloaf Valley, Pa., and moved to this area 13 years ago from Bridgeport, Conn. He was a truck driver with over 40 years of experience and retired from Carolina Freight Co. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran, serving for 15 years. He was a POW, a Purple Heart recipient and was nominated for a Congressional Medal of Honor. He was a former Mason and a Teamster member in Bridgeport.
Survivors include his wife, Winifred May; two daughters, Jacqueline Williams of Spring Hill and Barbara Reed of Orlando; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a niece.

Norman "Norm" Brauer, 90, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to Florida 20 years ago from Des Plaines, Ill. He retired as a quality control supervisor from SkilSaw after 36 years of service. After retiring, he assisted his son at Advanced Cleaning in Illinois, and then assisted his daughter at Ed Vance Printing after moving to Florida.

Ailene Monks Smith, 85, of Brooksville, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Lincoln County, Tenn., and moved to Florida 42 years ago from Huntsville, Ala., for the purpose of her husband employing staff for Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, to start the space program. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In earlier years, she worked at L.N. Gross, Fayetteville, Tenn., and Ferry Morse Seed Company, Memphis, Tenn. She worked at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala., where the space program began, and then Patrick's Air Force Base, Satellite Beach.
Survivors include her husband, Harry; a daughter, Rebecca of Brooksville; a sister, Elaine Partin of Fayetteville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
