He was born in Corinth, Miss., and moved to this area 10 years ago from Hilton Head, S.C. He was a plant manager for International Harvester, a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran, a member of GlenLakes Country Club, and a Presbyterian by faith.

Thomas W. "Tom" Moorman, 60, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at his home.
Mr. Moorman was born in Passaic, N.J., lived most of his life in Hopkinton, Mass., before moving to this area four months ago. Mr. Moorman was a past member of the John Warren Masonic Lodge in Hopkinton, graduated from the University of Massachusetts and earned his Master's degree from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. Mr. Moorman retired from the Department of Mental Health and Retardation for the State of Massachusetts after 26 years.
Mr. Moorman's survivors include his wife, Janet, of Spring Hill; a daughter, Jennifer Moorman of Los Angeles, Calif.; a son, James Moorman of Spring Hill; and a sister, Pamela Moorman Staffier of Westborough, Mass.

Bert Horstmanshof, 83, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Mr. Horstmanshof was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., and moved here 24 years ago from Lowell, Mich. Mr. Horsmanshof was a World War II who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and his tour of duty included England, France, Belgium and Holland and he was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Horstmanshof was an active member of the Christian Reform Church in Michigan and the First United Methodist Church in Spring Hill, served in the consistory and as an usher, elder, and deacon. Mr. Horsmanshof retired from Holwerda & Huizinga Plumbing and Heating in Grand Rapids, Mich., and was a member of Union Local No. 174, volunteered his time with Meals on Wheels and Little League baseball.
Mr. Horsmanshof is survived by his wife, Betty of Spring Hill; two daughters, Susanne Fleet of Sand Lake, Mich., and Sharlye Bender of Lowell, Mich.; two sons, Richard of Spring Hill and Ronald of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Louise Catherine Hankin, 82, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, April 4, 2006 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Hankin was born in Cambridge Mass., and came here 12 years ago from Cape Cod, Mass. Mrs. Hankin was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and director of social services at Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Mass.

John S. "Jack" Jordan, 85, of Timber Pines, died Sunday, March 26, 2006.
Mr. Jordan was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Florida from Claysville, Pa. Mr. Jordan retired from Verizon after 39 years of service in management in Pennsylvania and Florida, was Methodist by faith, served in the Sea Bees during World War II and was a member of Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his daughter, Candace Catheline of Warren, Ohio; a son, John P. of Romona, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Lois C. Kuss, 85, of Brooksville, died Thursday, April 4, 2006 at an assisted living facility in Spring Hill.
Ms. Kuss was born in Perry County, Pa., and moved to this area seven years ago from Houston, Texas. Ms. Kuss was a retired clerk for General Electrical and was Catholic by faith.
Ms. Kuss is survived by a niece and a nephew.
