Richard "Rich" Patrick Notto, 74, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at his home.
He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to this area 28 years ago from Buffalo. He retired after 40 years as a self-employed cabinetmaker, woodcarver and knife maker. He was a Korean conflict U.S. Army veteran and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; a daughter, Patti Notto of Buffalo; a stepson, Robert Ruggiero of Clearwater; three stepdaughters, Vicki Stegen of Denver, Colo., Carol Kornick of Port Richey and Patricia R. John J. "Jack" Egbert, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Monday, July 25, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Somerville, N.J., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Mattituck, Long Island, N.Y., after living in Rockville Centre for 30 years. He was a retired stockbroker on Wall Street, an eight-year Naval Reserve veteran, 50-year lifetime member of Hook & Ladder Volunteer Fire Department, Rockville Centre, a member of the Grand Lodge of the Free & Accepted Masons of New York, Lynbrook, Massapequa Lodge 822, 32-degree Mason, Kismet Shriners of Long Island, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rites, and Brookridge Golf Association. He was also a security guard for the Brookridge Community for nine years and attended The Citadel.
Survivors include his wife, Vera; two daughters, Darlene Battenfeld of Portsmouth, Va., and Beverly Robbins of Ocala; a son-in-law, James Bagnato of Spring Hill; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was a veteran of the Army and Royal Dutch Air Force, both of the Netherlands, graduated Magna Cum Laude of Bryant University in 1972 and was a member of Brooksville Assembly of God Church.
