Burdett W. Fry, 76, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. He was born in Liberty Center, Ohio and came here three years ago from Wauseon, Ohio. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where he performed as a band drum major and won several awards. He retired from Globe Weiss Paper Products where he started on the loading dock, became president of the union and then went to work in the corporate office as a quality control manager. He was a sustaining member with the Francis Wilson Performing Arts Community Theatre. He enjoyed playing poker and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie Fry of Spring Hill; Cheryl Gomez of Caseville, Ill.; Lori Crowder of Kendalville, Ind.; son, Ron Fry of Henderson, Nev.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

He retired as a youth counselor for HRS with the state of Florida, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Jude Council, Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 521, Elks Lodge, Cortez Blvd, Brooksville. He also enjoyed playing golf and coaching youth sports.
