Thelma R. Moats, 75, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 at her home. She was born in Hot Springs, Va., and moved to this area six years ago from Richmond, VA.
Mrs. Moats was a retired restaurant owner and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Moats Malmquist of Lafayette, La., and Shirley R. Totty of Spring Hill; a brother, Eddie Ryder of Hot Springs; a sister, Opal Marciano of New York; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Jesus Perez Sr., 88, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 at Evergreen Woods Health & Rehabilitation. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and moved to this area recently from Stroudsburg, Pa.
Mr. Perez was a retired Merchant Marine and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah and Jeane; a son, Jesus Perez Jr.; four sisters, Katie, Romanita, Esther and Doris; 33 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Dorothy H. Molis, 84, of Spring Hill, died Monday, June 7, 2004, at home.
She was born in Webster, Mass., and moved to this area six years ago from Massachusetts. She was employed at B&W Footwear as a payroll supervisor and as a bookkeeper for Forensic Mental Health Association. She was a member of St. Joseph's Women's Club and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Christine Davis and Dianne Trombley, both of Spring Hill; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

Dolores (Dody) Emery, 74, of Brooksville, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved to this area 24 years ago from Cincinnati. She worked for many years in the Cincinnati area with Crosley Radio and Interstate Bakery, and in later years, she was a CNA working in local nursing homes. She was a member of the DAV Auxiliary in Brooksville and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, H.T. "Tom"; a daughter, Carla Pagniello of Brooksville; and a granddaughter.

Alice Virginia Anthony, 73, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, in Tampa.
She was born in Vienna, Va., and moved to this area 11 years ago from Fairfax, Va. She was a retired teacher's assistant, a member of We, Us, and Friends, a lifetime member of NAACP, and a member and deaconess of New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, George Wiggins of Jarrett, Va., and Antonio Wiggins of Spring Hill; two brothers, Rev. Booker Taylor of Gainesville, Va., and Rev. John Taylor of Stafford, Va.; and a sister, Rev. Deloris Washington of Vienna, Va.

Bernadette A. Counter, 80, of Brooksville, died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at her home.

Teddy "Ted" DeVere Cooper, 60, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
He was born in Xenia, Ohio and came to this area 21 years ago from Ft. Lauderdale. He attended the New York Photography School, Real Estate School and police academy and was trained in several specialties of law enforcement. He was a former police officer in Xenia, Ohio, former owner/operator of Coopers Maintenance & Construction in Xenia, Ohio, and the owner of Safety Line Sealing & Striping and C&C Investigations, both of Brooksville. He co-owned, with his son, a car in several classes at the Citrus County Speedway where he also crewed and was a flagman/starter. He was an award-winning photographer and enjoyed building homes and camping. He attended Fellowship Wesleyan Church in Spring Hill where he attended Bible Study and assisted with building projects.
Survivors include his wife, Becky; two sons, Alan D. Cooper of Spring Hill and Anthony W. Cooper of El Paso, Texas; a brother, Gary Taylor of Xenia, Ohio; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Gloria E. Long, 72, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at home.
She was born in Port Jefferson, Long Island, N.Y., and moved to this area 19 years ago from Selden, Long Island, N.Y. She was employed as a dietary assistant with Oak Hallow, Middle Island, Long Island, NY., and was a Jehovah Witness by faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Stenico of Spring Hill and Joyce Recchio of Port St. Lucie; two brothers, Carlton Cuffey of Montreal, Canada, and Lawrence Cuffey of Coram, Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Survivors include four sons, Robert A. and Michael W. Rasor, both of Chicago, and William L. Rasor and Chester J. Lichon, both of Spring Hill; a daughter, Starlene L. Lichon of Spring Hill; two brothers, William McElvain of Maine and Doug McElvain of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Amede J. Lavigne, 78, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, moved to Hudson 25 years ago from Sandusky, Ohio, and moved to this area recently from Hudson. He was a division manager for Scott Paper Co., Sandusky, retiring after 28 years of service. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Spring Hill Lodge 4208, and St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; two daughters, Sharry McNeal and Cindy Lavigne, both of Vancouver, Wash.; a stepson, John Alldredge of Cape Coral; two stepdaughters, Judy Ann Tanner and Suzette Albright, both of Acworth, Ga.; four brothers, Leo of Kamloops of British Columbia, Canada, Phillip of Surrey, British Columbia, Paul of Regina, Saskatchewan, and Ernie of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; two sisters, Laura Duncan of Chiliwack, British Columbia, and Claire Nickless of Lloydminster, Alberta; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Survivors include four daughters, Diane Grant and Bonnie Gillis, both of Brooksville, and Gail Siles and Suzanne Guerra, both of New Orleans, La.; two sons, Michael Harkins and William Hamelin, both of Milton, Vt.; a sister, Norma Luce of Brooksville; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Samuel "Rock" Addison, 69, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Oct.14, 2005, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area seven years ago from Brooklyn. He was a government employee for over 40 years, a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Spring Hill Senior Citizens Club, and a Christian by faith.
He is survived by a son; a daughter; a grandson; and a granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; a son, Thomas Kelley of Montgomery, Ala.; three daughters, Lois Kelley of Amherst, Mass., Sharon Kelley of Peabody, Mass., and Irene Stevens of Dracut, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.

Charles Francis "Rock" Hardy, 81, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at his home.
He moved to this area three years ago from his native Middletown, N.Y. He was a retired letter carrier for the Middletown U.S. Postal Service with 25 years of service. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, receiving a Purple Heart. He was a 30-year member and past president of the Middletown Lions Club, receiving the Melvin Jones Award, and received the Jaycees Citizen of the Year Award in 1975. He was also a 50-year member of the Middletown Elks Club, a lifetime member of American Legion Post 151, and was on the board of the Salvation Army.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia V.; three daughters, Barbara Hardy Olsen of Pembroke Pines, Lynda Hardy of Houston, Texas, and Deborah Hardy of Seattle, Wash.; three stepsons, Clark Van Fleet and Richard Van Fleet, both of Middletown, and Eric Van Fleet of Pittsfield, Mass.; a stepdaughter, Anita Lamont of Middletown; a brother, Robert Hardy of Spring Hill; three sisters, Ann Cutler of Spring Hill, Rita Conklin of Middletown and Jean Williams of Wurtsboro, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Sophie; a daughter, Cynthia A. Juray of Spring Hill; a son, Frederick P. Dadak of Coopersburg, Pa.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
