Robert V. Gore, 78, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Tampa General Hospital.
He was born in Livingston, Tenn., and moved to this area several years ago from Sebring. He was a retired self-employed carpet layer, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianne B. Cole and Trudy E. Radford, both of Brooksville; two sons, Robert Gore of Battle Creek, Mich., and Larry Gore of Jackson, Mich.; two sisters, Zella Hinton of North Port and Geraldine Wolfe of Battle Creek; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Stephen J. Martino, 53, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Brighton, Mass., and moved to this area 11 years ago from Manchester, N.H. He was a printing pressman and formerly worked with Paul Taylor Removal Service in Hernando County. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two sons, Christian L. of Manchester and Benjamin R. of Spring Hill; and three grandchildren.

Josephine A. Cooper, 76, of Weeki Wachee Hills, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at Spring Hill Health & Rehabilitation.
She was born in Bennington, Vt., and moved to this area 36 years ago from St. Petersburg. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Michael and Richard Fleming, both of Weeki Wachee Hills; a stepson, Steven Cooper of St. Petersburg; a stepdaughter, Pamela Little of Weeki Wachee Hills; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joseph Paul Rizzo, 85, of New Port Richey, formerly of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Hudson.
He was born in New York, N.Y., lived in Spring Hill for 28 years and moved to New Port Richey four years ago. He was a retired dispatcher for the City of New York Department of Highways. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and was awarded a medal from the Soviet Government in 1995 for his service aiding Soviet Comrades in Iraq during World War II. He was a member of Civilian Conservation Corp. during the Depression. He worked for the Deltona Corporation in Spring Hill and was a maintenance worker for the Spring Hill Recreation Center. He was a founding member, Post Surgeon, past senior and vice senior commander of VFW Post 10209, Spring Hill, where he was a part of the official groundbreaking ceremonies. He was a delivery person for Meals on Wheels in Spring Hill and a longtime member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph Jr. of New Port Richey, Tom of Valrico and Paul of Bayville, N.J.; a daughter, Fran of Riverview; a brother, Alex of Westbury, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Eleanor V. "Ellie" Hicks, 70, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Long Island, N.Y., and moved to this area 15 years ago from New York. She was a volunteer at Brooksville Regional Hospital and the Enrichment Center for over nine years, working at the admitting lobby desk, physical therapy room for heart patients, emergency room and the Heart Center (ICU). She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include a son, Charles F. Winter of New York; a daughter, Donna Coyle of New Port Richey; five sisters; four brothers; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Dolores S. Andrews, 76, of High Point, Brooksville, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at her home.
She was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Orange, Calif. During her lifetime, she worked several jobs which included supervision at an electronics firm and interior decorating and sales of mobile homes. She volunteered by knitting scarves and blankets for a Kentucky School for underprivileged children.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; a daughter, Paula Murphy of Southern California; a brother, Steve Grant of Regency Oaks; and a grandchild.

Fred W. Doscher Sr., 69, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at his home.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He retired with 20 years of service as a motorman for the New York City Transit Authority. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and an Evangelical Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include his son, Fred W. Jr. of Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother, Father Joseph J. Doscher, S.C.J. of Pinellas Park; two sisters, Lorraine Doscher and Carol Gibbons, both of Spring Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

George R. "Dick" Smith, 84, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at the Serenity House Assisted Living Facility, Brooksville.
He was born in Boston, Mass., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Melrose, Mass. He attended Boston University and retired from the Citgo Oil Company after 42 years of service as an accountant. He was a member of Mariner United Methodist Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; three daughters, Susan Reynolds of Coatesville, Pa., Sandra Terranova of Clifton Heights, Pa., and Carol J. Smith of Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, Edward L. Smith of Bradford, N.H.; a sister, Marjorie Walden of Lexington, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was born in South Bend, Ind., and moved to this area 32 years ago from Mundelein, Ill. He retired from the Credit and Collections Department of Lykes Regional Hospital. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of High Point Golf Association, American Legion and Masonic Blue Lodge.
Survivors include his son, William J. of Gaston, S.C.; his sister-in-law and caregiver, Mildred Strahl of Brooksville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Leland W. Martin, 74, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at his home.
He was born in Cortland, N.Y., and moved to this area 18 years ago from Binghamton, N.Y. He was a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce of Johnson City, N.Y., and Larry of Windsor, N.Y.; three daughters, Penny Martin of Plant City, Joyce Sullivan of Zephyrhills and Laberta Miskeil of Tampa; three sisters, Alma Acly of Port Crane, N.Y., Katherine Barber of Windsor, and Velma Wright of Brooksville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Rose Marie Bourdeau, 91, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at Evergreen Woods Health Care Center, Spring Hill.
She was born in Cohoes, N.Y., and moved to this area seven years ago from St. Petersburg. She was a retired secretary, a teacher in shelter management in the Civil Defense, an active member of the Civil Defense, a member of Daughter of St. Anne of Cohoes, N.Y., a choir member of St. Marie's Church of Cohoes and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include a son, Richard Henry Bourdeau of Fort Myers; two daughters, Ann Gibbons of Brooksville and Barbara Suprenant of St. Petersburg; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

George E. Wright, 78, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Community Hospital of New Port Richey.
He was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Miller Place, Long Island, N.Y. He was a maintenance manager for Hazeltine Corporation, Greenlawn, Long Island, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; a son, Douglas E. of Palm Bay; two daughters, Deborah Lombardi of Miller Place and Barbara A. Meaders of Orange Park; a brother, Harry Hansen of Garden City, N.Y.; a sister, Patricia Wersan of Beverly Hills; and nine grandchildren.

Boyd L. Roberts, 92, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at his home.
He was born in Nanci, Ky., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Hollywood, where he had lived since 1978 after coming from Milford, Ohio. He was a retired teacher for Indian Hill Schools, Hamilton County, Ohio. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of Northcliffe Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Margaret R. Davidson of Spring Hill; and a grandson, Charles R. Davidson of Fort Bragg, N.C.

Ethel MacIntyre Andrews, 82, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Fort Atkinson, Wis., and moved to this area 34 years ago from Jacksonville, Ill. She graduated from Presbyterian Hospital, Chicago, Ill. as a Registered Nurse and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, F.J. "Jack"; two sons, Thomas of Tucson, Ariz., and Richard of Largo; two daughters, Susan of Spring Hill and Diane of Central African Republics; and a brother, Charles B. MacIntyre of Madison, Wis.

Boris U. Piesco, 84, of Glen Lakes, Brooksville, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at his home.
He was born in New Haven, Conn., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Camarillo, Calif. He was a construction contractor, a U.S. Air Force veteran, a member of the Glen Lakes Golf Club, and remodeled upscale homes for many celebrities including building an indoor sandbox in the home of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; a son, Mark Piesco of Oak Park, Calif.; and a sister, Olga Powell of Camarillo.

Shirley Dubin, 81, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area a year ago from Walkhill, N.Y. She owned and operated a dog breeder business for several years in Walkhill and was a bookkeeper by profession.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph; four daughters, Susan Harrison of Weeki Wachee, Wendy Dubin of Middletown, N.Y., Paula Mikowicz of Columbia, Md., and Barbara Cavellier of Syracuse, N.Y.; a son, Norman Dubin of Baltimore, Md.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Ted of Largo and Mark of Greysville, Tenn.; two daughters, Jeannie Self of Strawberry Plains, Tenn., and Missy Donataccio of Spring Hill; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
