William W. "Bull" Elford, 72, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
He was born in Newburg, N.Y. and was a seasonal resident of Brooksville for six years before living here year-round a year ago. He was an electrician in the manufacturing field, loved woodworking, hunting and outdoor activities with his friends. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Korean, Indonesian and Vietnam conflicts and was of the Protestant faith. He was a life member of American Legion Post #632 in Harrisonburg, Va., a member of American Legion Post 186 of Spring Hill, was a master electrician in Albany, N.Y. and taught electrical, mechanical and hydraulic courses.
Survivors include his wife, Jane of Brooksville; a son, Michael Elford of Linden, Va.; a daughter, Lynn Ambrosi of Meriden, N.H.; and three grandchildren.

Daniel C. Kelly, 75, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was a native of La Peer, Mich., and a winter resident of this area for the past eight years coming from Clarkston, Mich. He was a retired finance and insurance agent, co-owner of Central Associates, Inc. and Peebles Investment Corp. in Michigan, and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; a daughter, Jean Barber of Clinton Township, Mich.; a stepson, Patrick Lambert of Glenwood, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Carole Colter of Ann Arbor, Mich. and Lenore Vimr of Lake Orion, Mich.; three brothers, Charles Kelly of Port Orange, Terry Kelly of Summerfield, and Bill Kelly of Reno, Nev.; two sisters, Marjorie Potter of Lewiston, Mich. and Mina Grant of Pleasant Ridge, Mich.; on grandson; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alma J. Cantu, 88, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. Born in Bryant, Ind., she moved to Florida 32 years ago from Oaklawn, Ill. She was a retired nurse and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. She also belonged to the Women of the Moose, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ladies Auxiliary and the D.A.V Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Peter L. Howell of Unionville, Tenn; two daughters, A. Kitty Pettrick of Ft. Myers and Pauline McCullers of Spring Hill; a sister, Irene P. Stevens of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements by National Cremation Society, Brooksville.

Barbara A. Woerz, 57, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Burlington, N.C. and moved to this area 16 years ago from Bloomfield, N.J. She was a financial manager with Chemical Bank in N.Y. was past president of the Hernando County Shrine Club Ladies' Auxiliary, past director of The Oaks Homeowners Association and the Hernando County Computer Club, and a member of the Mariner Lanes "Over-the-Hill-Gang" bowling league. She was of the Episcopalian faith.
Survivors include her life-mate, Donald Halloran of Spring Hill; sister Dorothy W. and brother-in-law Robert L. Rhodes, both of Marietta, Ga.

Charles J. Lohrman, 85, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. He was born in Chester, Pa., and moved to this area 30 years ago from Ohio.
Mr. Lohrman was a retired mail sorter, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; a son, Charles of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; two daughters, Pat Brennan of Spring Hill and Dorothy Carter of Ashland, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Emanuel Granelli, 82, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, April 20, 2006 at his home. He was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Canarsie, N.Y.
Mr. Granelli was a retired foreman in the construction industry and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alda; a son, Gary Granelli of Long Island, N.Y.; a daughter Janice Piarulli of Spring Hill; and five grandchildren.

1st Sgt. Robert J. Kuehne, 46, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 as the result of an accident. He was born in Oak Park, Ill., and moved to Spring Hill, serving with the 810 MP Company based at MacDill.
Mr. Kuehne entered Army service in 1979 and served for 27 distinguished years. His tours included duty with the First Armored Division in Germany, the 810 MP Company, the 3-348th Regiment CBTS, and E. Company, 2-485th Regiment. He was twice mobilized; first was Operation Desert Storm and his second was with E. Co., 2-485th Regiment where he served as Top Sergeant in a Basic Combat Training Battalion. He earned the Meritorious Service Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. At the time of his death, he was serving active duty at Fort Jackson, S.C. As a civilian, he was employed at AMSA No. 53 in Tampa for over 20 years.
Survivors include his daughter, Natasha Lynn Kuehne; his mother, Harriett Jankowski; a brother, (Retired) Lt. Col. Charles Kuehne; and two sisters, Carroll Hutton and Susan Thompson

Carolyn A. Cox, 82, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004.
She was born in Philippi, W.Va., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Fort Walton. She was a member of the singles club of Timber Pines and First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill, and was a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include a son, John A. Cox of Winter Park; a daughter, Nancy Cashio of New Orleans, La.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Anna Guarneri, 92, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, in Brooksville.
She was born in Italy and moved to this area 24 years ago from Queens, N.Y. She was a telephone operator in Italy, and she also ran a bakery in Queens.
She was a Catholic by faith and attended St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
She is survived by her niece, Ella Ricciuti-Arnold.

William Constantine, 71, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area 31 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the West Hernando Athletic Club for Seniors (WHACS), and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Claire; two sons, Thomas and Joseph; four daughters, Renee, Karen, Susan and Linda; a sister, Joyce Serino of Venice; a brother, James of Spring, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.

Joseph "Joe" C. Peak, 79, of New Port Richey, formerly of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Marliere Hospice Care Center, New Port Richey.
He was born in Louisville, Ky., moved to New Port Richey 44 years ago, to Spring Hill 18 years ago, and then back to New Port Richey 11 years ago. He was a former officer with the New Port Richey Police Department in the early 1960s, a former identification technician for the Pasco County Sheriff's Department in the 1970s, and retired as an identification technician from the Citrus County Sheriff's Department. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran, having served in Guantanoma Bay, Guadal Canal and Central Solomon Islands in the 9th Defense Battalion. He was a member of Marine Corps League Detachment 708, Spring Hill, where he also served on the Honor Guard. He was a former member of Marine Corps League Holiday Detachment 567, New Port Richey, and was a charter member of Aripeka Elks Lodge 2520, Hudson. He was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian L.; two sons, Bob Langford and Gary Peak, both of New Port Richey; a daughter, Sandra Blair of New Port Richey; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Marie D. Williams, 85, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio, and moved to this area 21 years ago from Avondale Estates, Ga. She was a homemaker and former loadmaster and aircraft scheduler, as a civil servant, for the U.S. Air Force in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond A.; a brother, Robert P. Kniess of Fairhope, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn Sorge, 88, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area three years ago from Holbrook, Long Island, N.Y. She was in retail sales and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Charles Sorge of Northvale, N.J.; a daughter, Lorraine Ryan of Spring Hill; two sisters, Lorraine Kearney of Queens, N.Y., and Josephine Walsh of Bronx, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

John R. Cook, 77, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at his home. He was born in Toledo, Ohio and came to Florida in 1988. He was Protestant by faith and a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He worked in the hospital supply industry for 25 years and retired in 1987.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty of Spring Hill; two sons, John of Highland, Ind. and Thomas of Toledo; two daughters, Ann Stevson of Montour, Ia. and Nancy Roman of Perrysburg, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Tony Dighello, 45, of Hudson, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at his home.
He was born in Meriden, Conn. and moved to Spring Hill in 1989. He moved to Hudson three months ago.
Dighello was a sales representative for Jim Quinlan Chevrolet in Brooksville. He was a Navy veteran and a Catholic.
Survivors include two sons, Justin Dighello, of Meriden, and Salvatore Plont, of Port Richey; four daughters, Antoinette Dighello and Michele Dighello, of Palm Harbor, Lori-Ann Dighello, of Meriden, and Angela Smith of Largo; and three grandchildren.

Nicholas Panfilo D'Amato, 69, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson.
He was born in New York City and moved to this area 10 years ago from Ft. Lauderdale. He was a retired registered respiratory therapist and pulmonologist, one of only five people worldwide to be certified as a sleep apnea polysonographer, a member of the Italian-American Club, the VFW in Ft. Lauderdale and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia B.; two sons, Nicholas Alfred D'Amato of Pembroke Pines and Michael Natale D'Amato of Sayville, N.Y.; a daughter, Joanne Gloria D'Amato-Staffa of Spring Hill; and three grandchildren.

Orise J. Gariepy, 79, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
She was born in South Attleboro, Mass., and moved to Florida 25 years ago from Cumberland, R.I. She was a retired braider tender and seamstress. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Brooksville.
Survivors include a son, William of Brooksville; a daughter, Linda Falardeau of Attleboro, Mass., a brother, Edward Chalifoux of Attleboro, Mass.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Lillian E. Hass, 84, of Brooksville, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at her home. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to this area 19 years ago from West Lake, Ohio.

Mrs. Christopherson was a song writer, cosmetologist, actress and model. She was Greek Orthodox by faith.

Mrs. Matthews worked as a Registered Nurse and was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and its Ladies Missionary Fellowship.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce R. of Frederick, Md., John D. of Lansing, Mich., and Verne "Jerry" of Conyers, Ga.; a daughter, Dianne C. Pierce of Loganville, Ga.; four brothers, Angelo LoPresti of Lorraine, Ohio, Ernest LoPresti of Homer City, Frank LoPresti of Berkley, Mich., and John LoPresti of Indiana, Pa., five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. King was a recreation leader for the Hernando County Parks and Recreation Department and was a Christian by faith.
Survivors include his father, William Krefft of Rancho Bernardo, Calif.; his mother, Liesl King of Spring Hill; a brother, Nicholas King of Spring Hill; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Shelia King of Maryville, Tenn.; and great-grandmother, Cecile Anderson of Eugene.

William August Morris, 64, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 at home and under the care of his family and Hospice.
He was born in Monticello, N.Y., and came here five years ago from Montgomery, N.Y. He was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, where he delivered holiday dinners with his granddaughter, Blair.
Mr. Morris was a retired traveling representative with the New Jersey Transit Railroad and he was past president of S.H.A.R.P of Spring Hill. He was a baseball and basketball coach with the Hernando Youth League and the YMCA in Hernando County and a member for 25 years with the Elks Lodge #1097 in Middletown, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Spring Hill; four grandchildren and one niece.
