Theda E. Elwell, 86, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at an assisted living facility in Spring Hill.
Mrs. Elwell was born in Pittsfield, Mass., and moved to this area seven years ago from Stephentown, N.Y.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Reheem of Spring Hill; a son, Bruce Elwell of Spring Hill; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Thomas Plerhoples, 89, of Spring Hill, died Monday, March 27, 2006 at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Deepwater, N.J., and moved to this area recently from New Castle, Del.
Mr. Plerhoples was a retired accounting clerk at DuPont Co., Deepwater, with 43 years of service, and a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Wilmington, Del.
Survivors include three sons, George Plerhoples of Wilmington, William Plerhoples of Corning, N.J., and James Plerhoples of Pennsgrove, N.J.; a daughter, Stella Tsiringas of Spring Hill; and five grandchildren.

Gerry Newell, 63, of Brooksville, died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at Hernando Care Center in Brooksville.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and moved to this area 20 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. She worked as a mental health technician at Springbrook, loved to crochet blankets all year long to give to the needy at Christmas, was a volunteer for both Hernando Pasco Hospice and the Brooksville Enrichment Center for Oak Hill Hospital, and a volunteer dispatcher for the Brentwood Legion Ambulance in Brentwood, N.Y. and was Lutheran.
Survivors include her husband Ted of Brooksville; two daughters, Lori Horsely-Newell of Spring Hill and Pam Newell of Pinellas Park; two sons, Ted Newell Jr. of Brooksville and Tim Newell of Pinellas Park; and five grandchildren.

John J. Beystehner, 84, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Chicago, Ill. and moved to this area 18 years ago from Barrington, Ill. He was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II and retired from Electronic Corporation of America in Cambridge, Mass. He was a member of Silverthorn Country Club.
Survivors include his wife Rita of Spring Hill; daughter Lynn Bastuba of Lake Zurich, Ill.; son John J. Jr. of Alpharetta, Ga.; brother Donald of Woodstock, Ill.; sister Doris Larson of Barrington, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

She was born in Lynbrook, N.Y., lived in Levittown, N.Y. for 30 years, and moved to this area 25 years ago. She worked as a bookkeeper in an orthopedic group in Levittown for 15 years. She was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and served as a greeter. She was a member of Brooksville Golf & Country Club.

Andrew “Andy” Erdman Jr., 74, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Queens, N.Y., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Colorado Springs, Colo.
Mr. Erdman played violin in the 7th Symphony Orchestra. He was a Korean conflict U.S. Army veteran and a member of New Journey Baptist Church.

Mrs. Aiken was a seamstress, a member of the VFW Post of Elkhart, past UAW president and a Catholic by faith.

He was born in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area 32 years ago from Port Jefferson, N.Y. He was an electrical contractor and was active with the Spring Hill Youth Athletic Bowling Association (YABA).

Francis B. "Bim" Richardson, 89, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Fairview, Pa., and moved to this area 30 years ago. He worked as a draftsman at the Girard Model Works while he was in high school, and he held his private pilot's license since age 16. He was a World War II Coast Guard veteran, serving as a photographer of top officials and events for the Stars and Stripes. Following the military, he worked for Quinn-Berry Plastics as a draftsman/engineer and company pilot until 1970. He then worked for United Atkinson, Erie, Pa. Following retirement in Florida, he attended Lake City Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Lions Club of Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Donna J. LaGrange Richardson; a daughter, Diane L. Pain of Girard, Pa.; a sister, Sue R. Mohr of Lake City, Fla.; a grandson, Eric L. Pain of Ringwood, N.J.; six nieces; and three nephews.

She moved to this area four years ago from her native Bayonne, N.J. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.

Bernard J. "Barney" McDonough, 82, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at his home.
He was born in West New York, N.J. He was a seasonal resident of Brooksville before becoming a full-time resident seven years ago. During those years, he participated in Brookridge shows with his wife, Sally, was a tour guide at the Heritage Museum in Brooksville and a volunteer at the Humane Society of Hernando County. He took part in functions at his church, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, working at many ethnic festivals. He was past president of the Hernando Old Car Club and was an active member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program where he went on television last November to encourage retired seniors to join and participate. He was a member and volunteer of Brooksville Elks Lodge 2582 for 10 years. He was a graduate of Fordam College of New York and a past graduate of New York University. He worked for American Smelting and Refinery for 14 years. He was also a Barth Smelting salesman and a manager of a Long Island nursery. He was active in sales, working as a Deco Guard representative until he retired.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; a daughter, Virginia Spencer; six sons, Robert, Richard, Edward, William, John and James; six stepsons, Robert, John, George, James, Thomas and Kevin; and 18 grandchildren.

She was born in Moberly, Mo., and moved to this area 23 years ago from New Port Richey. She was a bookkeeper for Pasco County Building Department and a member of Christian Church in the Wildwood.

Kyle Matthew Gabelman, 25, of Hudson, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 at his parents' home. He was born in Miami and moved to Spring Hill 20 years ago from Orlando. He moved to Hudson five months ago.
Mr. Gabelman was the owner of Kyle Gabelman's Landscaping and was a Christian.

Julia Young, 78, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 at Oak Hill Hospital. She was born in Greenwich, Conn., and moved to the area in 1994 from Sun City.
Mrs. Young was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was an employee of Greenwich Hospital for 25 years. She was a member of the Timber Pines Golf and Country Club, a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Women's Guild and Social Club at St. Theresa.
