He was a retired electrical engineer; a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; a graduate of the University of Miami with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; a licensed professional engineer; a member of the Good Government League and the Hernando Computer Club, the I.S.E.E.; a senior member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers; past advisory board member of the Seven Hills Homeowner's Association; and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; two sons, John Robert of Lemon Grove, Calif. And James Edward of Spring Hill; a daughter, Mary Leeta Cooley of Tarpon Springs; a brother, Robert Roger of Miami; and three grandchildren.
