She was born in Queens, N.Y., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where he served as usher, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, The Holy Name Society, and coordinator of the grounds crew.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a brother, Harold of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He retired after 21 years of serving with both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corp as a veteran of World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War.
