She is survived by her fiancée, Robert Holmes of Leesburg.

John M. Portano, 76, of New Port Richey, died Thursday, March 14, 2002 at Regional Medical Center, Bayonet Point.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to this area 14 years ago from Queens, Long Island, N.Y. He retired from Staten Island Ferry as a deck hand, was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a Catholic.
He is survived by three sons, John of Hernando Beach, Gerard of Island Park, N.Y. and Robert of Rockaway, N.Y.; a daughter, Julia Ruocco of Staten Island, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Evin and Ian, both of New Port Richey; a daughter, Katey of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his parents, Robert and Mary Koshefsky of Spring Hill; and four sisters, Laura Roberts of Waynesville, N.C., Bonnie LaMarca of New Port Richey; and Mary Alberti and Colleen Bierwiler, both of Spring Hill.

He is survived by a daughter, JoAnn R. Peterson of Spring Hill; a brother, Freeman of Brooksville; two grandsons, five great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

James Grant Clements Sr., 60, of Homosassa, died Saturday, March 16, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, Brooksville.
Born in Indianapolis, Ind., he moved to this area four years ago from New Port Richey. He was a 22-year manager for Red Lobster, Spring Hill; a member of Southern Woods and Sugarmill Woods golf and country clubs; a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Ft. Lauderdale and attended Xavier University and the University of Miami; was an golfer; and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Crystal River.
He is survived by his wife, Rita J.; two sons, James G. Jr. of Hanover, Md., and Christopher I. Of Tampa; his mother, Alice of Ft. Lauderdale; a brother, Ken of Panama City; a sister, Joyce Goch of Ft. Lauderdale; a grandson, William of Hanover, Md.; his mother- and father-in-law, George and Marie Childs of Ocala; and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Armando; two daughters, Rita Flesher of Moreno Valley, Calif. and Olga Mateos of Spring Hill; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Gerald "Jiggs" Johnson, 84, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, March 16, 2002 at Hospice Care Center, Brooksville.

He was a retired sales manager for Senco Products; a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers Division, where he received the Purple Heart, Silver Star, Bronze Star and the Croix de Guerre metals; and was a Methodist.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, JoAnn James, Jean Ezzell and Linda Sorofano, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Harry Johnson Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was the owner of Archie's Saddle Shop, Brooksville, for 52 years, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a hay farmer in Brooksville, and owner of batting cages and golf driving range on Culbreath Road in Brooksville.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; a son, Larry of Florahome, Fla.; a daughter, Glenda Cole of Brooksville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
