She was born in Astoria, N.Y., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Medford, N.Y. She was a Registered Nurse for 30 years and was the head nurse at Lakeland Regional Hospital. She was also one of the original RNs at Oak Hill Hospital. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.

He was born in Paterson, N.J. and moved to this area 16 years ago from Haledon, N.J. Miakshile was a World War II veteran and served with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was also a retired Burr Bench operator from Curtiss-Wright in Loki, N.J. and RAF Industries in Midland Park, N.J. He was Baptist by faith.
