Daniel J. Cannon, Jr., 73, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001 at the Hospice House, Brooksville.
He was born in Conshohocken, Pa., and moved to this area seven years ago from King of Prussia and Conshohocken. He retired from Local 401 Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater with the 25th Naval Construction Battalion and the 3rd Marine Division, former commander of VFW Post 7878, Valley Forge, Pa., life member of the VFW and American Legion, and a member of the Dunegal Society of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Island X6 Navy Seabees of Spring Hill and Irish-American Club of Spring Hill.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie of New York, N.Y., and Coleen of Beverly, N.J.; a son, Daniel J. III of Beverly; and two grandsons.

Melbourne Joseph Hynes
Melbourne Joseph Hynes, 77, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Brighton, Mich. He was a supervisor for the Ford Motor Co. for 38 years, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and its Men's Club, Spring Hill, and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria; a son, Melbourne II of Highland, Mich.; four daughters, Rebecca McKelvey of Troy, Mich., Susanna Hamilton of Hamburg, Mich., and Carolyn Organek of Dearborn, Mich., and Mary Cryderman of Ferndale, Mich.; three sisters, Doris Gudgell of Beverly Hills, Esther Mahaday and Katherine Graves, both of Canton, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Robert George Fritz, 77, of Tampa, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001 in Brooksville.
He was a native of Pennsylvania and a resident of Tampa for 25 years coming from St. Petersburg. He retired from general maintenance for an electronic manufacturing company and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two stepsons, David Brown of Atlanta, Ga. and Carl Brown of Brooksville; two sisters, Ellen Stone and Charlotte, both of Pennsylvania; and nine grandchildren.

Rudolphe "Rudy" Bergeron, 79, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Brooksville. Born in Saco, Maine, he came to this area 21/2 years ago from San Diego, Calif. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and a Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Claudette Reynolds of Tarpon Springs; a son, Raymond Bergeron of West Covina, Calif.; a brother, Leo Bergeron of Saco; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Joe N. Browder, 87, of Spring Hill, died Friday, July 25, 2003 at Brooksville Healthcare Center in Brooksville. Born in St. Albans, W. Va., he moved to this area 50 years ago. He was a retired farmer, a World War II and Korean War U.S. Marine veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Lucille; one daughter, Sally J. Douglas of Brooksville; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Marie C. Quaine, 67, of Hernando Beach, died Monday, July 28, 2003 at her home. Born in St. Petersburg, she moved to this area 23 years ago from Clearwater. She was an administrative secretary for Hernando County Utilities, a former vice-president at Rutland Savings and Loan in Clearwater, co-founder of the Kidnap, Hostage Program and a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Spring Hill.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Stephen Williams of Tampa; a daughter, Robin Hacker of Valley View, Texas; a brother, Robert Peacock of Bellair Bluffs; two sisters, Janet McKenzie of Conyers, Ga. and Shirley Espesito of St. Pete Beach; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Frederick H. Batchelder, 86, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at his home. Born in Manchester, N.H. he came to the area 21 years ago from Bedford, N.H. He was an auto body painter and retired from Queen City Auto Body of Manchester. He was a World War U.S. Army veteran, member of the V.F.W. Post 10209 of Spring Hill., He was Greek Orthodox by faith and attended Christian Church in the Wildwood.
Survivors include three sons, Fred and Larry of Spring Hill, and Michael of Brooksville; two daughters, Daisy Hedges of Louisville, Ky., and Kay Cappuchi of Midway, Ga.; a sister, Marion Weatherbee of Franklin, N.H.; 11 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Walter "Eddie" White, 81, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at the Hospice Care Center in Brookville. Born in Mishawaka, Ind., he came to the area 54 years ago from Plymouth, Ind. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during World War II, awarded a Bronze Star for his service in the South Pacific. He was a Hillsborough County school teacher of architectural design and designed plans for four churches in the Tampa area.
He is survived by three sons, Donald W. of Suttons Bay, Mich., Charles of Houston, Texas, and Bruce of Brooksville; two sisters, Katherine Anders of Plymouth, Ind. and Clara Hansen of Culver, Ind., and four grandchildren.

Edgar "Ed" W. Hunter, 61, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, May 5, 2001 at his home.
He was born in New London, Conn., and moved to this area four years ago from Mystic, Conn. He was the owner-operator of Hunter's Home and Hardware and Red Rooster Market & Deli, both of N. Stonington, Conn., and was a manager for General Dynamics Convenience & Hardware Store in Groton, Conn., for 20 years. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran; a charter member of N. Stonington Rotary Club; a little league coach in Waterford, Conn., and a member of Timber Pines Golf and Tennis Club and Handicap Committee. He was a Methodist by faith.
