He was born in South Charleston, W.Va., and moved to this area 23 years ago from Nashanic, N.J. He was a retired welder, a U.S. Marine Corporal, Korean War veteran, and a member of the NRA and Hernando Sportsman Club.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; three sons, Robert of Howell, Mich., David of Spring Hill and Gary of Escondido, Calif.; two daughters, Linda Redman of Dade City and Aileen of Howell; two brothers, Frankie of Palms River, N.J., and James "Ronnie" of Raritan, N.J.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Ruth Chesbrough Young, 86, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at Regional Medical Center, Bayonet Point.
She was born in Peoria, Ill., and moved to this area recently from De Land. She was a personnel director for Woolworth's department store for 20 years and a member of Hollywood West Elks Lodge 2365 Ladies Auxiliary and Faith Lutheran Church, De Land.
Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Ferguson of Spring Hill and Jeanne Wood of Hollywood; a sister, Marian McKinney of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was a retired sprinkler fitter (Local 069), World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the 135th Division, life member of DAV 67, and a member of VFW Post 15010, Florida, Illinois Club, and Church of Christ, Spring Hill.
