She was an elementary school teacher, who started teaching before finishing her education at Wayne State University, Detroit, Mich. She taught in a one-room schoolhouse and completed her career as the most highly requested second-grade teacher at Hickory Grove Elementary School, Bloomfield Hills, Mich. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Kay Adams of Newport, N.C.; a brother, Ronnie Abbe of Alpena, Mich.; two sisters, Leona Stoddard of Lachine, Mich., and Janis Harmon of Kinde, Mich.; her companion, Bill Liske of Brooksville; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 31 years go from East Northport, Long Island, N.Y. He worked for the New York City Transit Authority as a bus driver and a transit dispatcher. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and member of the Holy Name Society, and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Brooksville Chapter.
Survivors include his wife, Maria; two daughters, Lucy Levine of Hernando Beach and Amelia Katz of Spring Hill; two sisters, Sue Alfino of Spring Hill and Vera Arcati of Port Richey; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
