Vernon W. Liverman, 75, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Brooksville. Born in Norfolk, Va., He moved to this area 32 years ago. He was Methodist and an active member of First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill, retired from the U.S. Air Force as a senior master sergeant, was a 32nd Degree Mason and a master dollhouse builder.
Survivors include his wife Doris of Spring Hill; two sons, Larry of Floral City and William Douglas of Jensen Beach, Fla.; daughter, Vickie of Enosburg Falls, Vt.; sister, Marge Jacoby of Miami; and five grandchildren.

John S. Liepins, 99, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Unit in Brooksville. Born in 1904 in Latvia, he moved to this area 20 years ago from Springfield, Ohio. He was Catholic by faith and was retired from the State of Ohio where he taught school for the handicapped and disabled.
Survivors include his wife Marcella "Betty" Liepins of Spring Hill; two sons, Michael Norris of Pahoa, Hawaii and Stephen Norris of Northfield, Vt; four granddaughters and relatives in Latvia.

Margie L. Ross, 82, of Brooksville died Monday, March 15, 2004 at the Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. Born in Middletown, Ohio, she moved to this area 17 years ago. She was Protestant by faith, attended First United Methodist Church and Faith Presbyterian Church, both in Brooksville and was Past Matron of the Eastern Star #367 in Middletown.
She is survived by three daughters Peggy Cope of Franklin, Ohio, Barbara Langworthy and Nancy Caudill, both of Brooksville; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

John Frimani, 82, of Inglis, died March 12, 2004 at home. Born in Philadelphia, Penn., he moved here from his native Philadelphia. He was Catholic by faith, he was a 26-year veteran of the U.S. Army and a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He also worked for Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg for 20 years as the laboratory manager.
Survivors include his wife, Trudy of Inglis; two sons, John Alex Firmani of Vancouver, B.C., and Ronald Raybon of Pheonix, Ariz.; four daughters, Janet Dolence of St. Petersburg, Cyndi McKnight of Jacksonville, Theresa Codol of St. Petersburg, and Carrie Sutton of Greensville, S.C.; one brother: Joseph Firmani of Fort Myers; and 12 Grandchildren.

Claire E. Pegnam, 82, died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, Brooksville. Born in Lowell, Mass., she moved to this area 20 years ago from Asheville, N.C. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill.
Survivors include her son, William H. Pegnam Jr. of Haverhill, Mass.; a daughter Mary Margaret Blanchard of Three Rivers, Calif.; and a sister, Mary L. Thomas of Spring Hill, and many nieces and nephews.

Ann McLaughlin, 67, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area six years ago from Mt. Clemens, Mich. She was a homemaker and a member of the Second Chance Heart Line Unit at St. John's Hospital, Detroit, Red Hat Society, and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Glen B.; two sons, Marty and Patrick; two brothers, Patrick and Ronald Smith; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Sandra Kay Hoffman, 62, of Brooksville, died Friday, March 14, 2003 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.

Survivors include three sons, Christopher Clow of Brooksville, and Jeff Mark and George, both of Oregon; two daughters, Jonetta of California and Robin Mark; his mother, Helen Hackworth of Oregon; two sisters, Pam and Debbie; and nine grandchildren.

Theodore C. Pierson, 70, of Brooksville, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area six years ago from Cedar Springs, Mich. He was a construction operating engineer, a U.S. Army National Guard veteran, and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; five children; and three grandchildren.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was a retired transformer welder, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of Elks Lodge 2582, Brooksville, and the American Legion, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Kitty Lloyd of Chiefland; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

George C. Grolz II, 76, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 30 years ago from New York. He retired as a New York City firefighter and was a member of the American Legion and the New York City Fire Department Union. He was a U.S. Navy and Coast Guard veteran, having served as a lieutenant commander, and was a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; four daughters, Janet Rios of Spring Hill, Nancy Connelly of Pine Bush, N.Y., Lynn Reich of Palmer, Alaska, and Barbara Smith of Teaneck, N.J.; a son, George III of Mt. Sinai, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen C.; four sons, Charles Duffield, John Duffield, Pete Duffield and Paul Duffield, all of Ohio; three daughters, Pamela Mosier and Mary Cheriki, both of Ohio, and Linda Buchanan of Virginia; a stepson, Stephen J. of Lorain; and 11 grandchildren.

Nellie E. Gascon, 82, of Brooksville, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Born in Washington, D.C., she moved to this area 24 years ago from Maryland. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro T. Gascon. Survivors include four sons, Bernard of Maryland, Kenneth of Maryland, David of Claifornia, and Neil of Maryland; a daughter, Juanita Fletcher of Brooksville; a brother, Charles Mooney of Florida; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by sons, John Jackson, George Matthew and David Christensen, all of Spring Hill; daughter, Amanda Christensen of Spring Hill; her beloved parents, George and Irene Riley of Spring Hill; two brothers, Steven Riley of New Jersey and David Rile of Queens, N.Y.

June Viola Boone, 62, of Brooksville, died Friday, May 31, 2002 at the Heartland Nursing Home in Brooksville.

She is survived by her son, Richard of Spring Hill; two brothers, Dr. Marvin DeHaan of Muskegon, Mich., and Richard DeHaan of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one brother-in-law, Floyde of Ludington, Mich.; and two granddaughters.

William Robert Voelker Sr., 88, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in St. Louis, Mo., moved to Naples 36 years ago from Clinton, Mo., moved to Venice 14 years ago and moved to this area eight years ago. He was proprietor of Vess-Cola Bottling Co. and Sun Flower Transfer & Storage Co., both of Joplin, Mo. He was also the owner of Voelker Oil & Gas Company, Clinton, a U.S. Army veteran, having served as an Air Transport Commander in the China-Burma-India Theater, and a Presbyterian by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia E.; two sons, John Weyman of Centennial, Colo., and William R. Jr. of Lexington, Ky.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
