William H. "Bill" Brayton, 62, of Brooksville, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at his home.
He was born in Traverse City, Mich., and was a lifelong resident of Brooksville. He was a retired plant manager, a Vietnam War U.S. Army veteran, a Brooksville City Policeman, Hernando County Deputy Sheriff, and a member of the Lost Dutchman Mining Association and Hernando Sportsman's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Ardyth; two sons, William Hamilton Brayton II of Winter Haven and David Arthur Tregay of Chicago, Ill.; five daughters, Mary Catherine Hunt and Charlotte Grimsley, both of Winter Haven, Kristina Brayton and Jennifer Elizabeth Lauppe, both of Brooksville, and Dawn Marie Emmett of Spring Hill; his mother, Lilly Mae Brayton of Brooksville; three brothers, Pat Brayton of Brooksville, Bob Brayton of Conyers, Ga., and Michael Brayton of Ocala; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Julian "Jack" Maszto, 79, of Hernando Beach, died Friday, May 21, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Jamaica, N.Y., and moved to this area 29 years ago from West Babylon, N.Y. He was a retired electrician for Long Island Railroad, a World War II U.S. Navy Seabees veteran, and a charter member of Hernando Beach Yacht Club.
Survivors include his wife, June; three sons, Kenny Amideo of Barefoot Bay, Fla., and Ronnie Maszto and Wayne Amideo, both of Long Island, N.Y.; four daughters, Joanne Leddy of Delhi, N.Y., Bonnie West of Lake Arrowhead, Calif., Jackie Simpson of Long Island and June Brower of Bushnell; two brothers, Andy Maszto of Queens, N.Y., and Paul Maszto; two sisters, Del Toporcer of Queens and Doris Maszto of Clearwater; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margaret A. Fries, 82, of Brooksville, died Friday, May 21, 2004, at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Melrose Park, Ill., and moved to Florida 30 years ago from Hoffman Estates, Ill. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas and Raymond Fries, both of Clermont; a daughter, Constance Mesko of Hoffman Estates; a brother, Leonard Bartels of Hillside, Ill.; two sisters, Mildred DiMarzio of Lombard, Ill., and Marily Hillier of Bellwood, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Susan Harris, 52, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
Mrs. Harris was born in England and moved to this area three years ago from Hudson.

Jeannette Voccio, 84, of Weeki Wachee, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at her home. She was born in Warren, R.I., and moved to this area a year ago from Inverness.
Mrs. Voccio was a retired accountant from George Dahl Company and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne Fleming of Weeki Wachee; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

Thomas Caddick Bardsley, 81, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He was born in Hartford, Conn., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Seffner.
Mr. Bardsley retired from the U.S. Postal Service, having worked as a clerk and delivery. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, having served aboard the USS Leonard Wood. He was a life member of DAV, and a founder and past president of the Coventry Hockey Association.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; four sons, Thomas of Big Sky, Mont., Jeffery and Kenneth, both of Providence, R.I., and Timothy of Oakland, Maine; a sister, Ruth Zajac of Sarasota; and three grandchildren.

H. Russell Haase, 80, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area seven years ago from Sarasota.
Mr. Haase owned a real estate agency in Suffolk County, Long Island, N.Y., and served as a public servant with the Suffolk County Government for many years in New York. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.

James J. Houghton, 77, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and moved to this area eight years ago from Bucks County, Pa.
Mr. Houghton was a researcher for the U.S. Government, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister and a volunteer.

Gordon P. Peacock, 69, of Weeki Wachee, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004.
He moved to this area 14 years ago from Duxbury, Mass. He was owner/operator of Peacock Press, Inc. since 1957. The company is still family owned and operating in Rockland, Mass. He was an active member of Rotary International in Braintree, Mass., from 1960 to 1995, became president in 1972 and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow and honorary lifetime member.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise; three sons, John of Spring Hill, Brian of Duxbury, Mass., and Gordon Jr. of Plymouth, Mass.; his mother, Beatrice Regan of Braintree; two brothers, James of Dunedin and David of Plymouth; and seven grandchildren.

Walter C. Caraway, 81, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Brooksville. He was born in Knights and moved to this area 52 years ago from Plant City.
Mr. Caraway was Pastor for 33 years at Brooksville Church of God and Back to the Faith Church of God. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Borne veteran, an Evangelist throughout Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama, and a member of American Legion Post 99.
Survivors include his wife, Opal; four sons, Curtis Caraway of Palmetto, W. Leslie Caraway, Kerry Caraway, and M. David Caraway, all of Brooksville; a daughter, O.
