Frank H. Mackey, 74, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, at Evergreen Woods Health Care Center, Brooksville.
Born in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., he moved to this area 19 years ago from Warwick, N.Y. He was a retired engineer for the Warwick Correctional Facility; a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of the VFW of Warwick and VFW #4271.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Brady of Marlboro, Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother, George of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; a sister, Betty Davidson of Bedford, N.Y.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Kenneth E. Chantler, 75, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
He was born in Portland, Ore., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Chicago, Ill. He was director of marketing for Martin- Marietta and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Donald and Douglas, both of Chino, Calif.; a daughter, Sandra Smith of Riverside, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John Costa Jr., of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Taunton, Mass., and moved to this area 19 years ago from Danbury, Conn. He was a warehouse stockman for Proline Tile, Spring Hill.

Howard F. Gilley, 80, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002 at his home.
He was born in Madison, N.J., and moved to this area 19 years ago. He served with the Army Signal Corp. and retired from New Jersey Bell Telephone Company. He was a member of Madison Hook N Ladder Co., N.J. State Firemen's Association, and Telephone Pioneers of America, and attended St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Verna"; three sons, Stephen of Tuckerton, N.J., David of Easton, Pa., and Kenneth of North Carolina; a daughter, Kathleen Roman of Hacketstown, N.J.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Eugene "Sonny" McKenzie, 53, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Brooksville and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of Josephine St. Church of the Living God.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; a son, Tony Roberts of Brooksville; two daughters, Sandra Jean Merriweather and Joyce Roberts Williams, both of Brooksville; three sisters, Agnes, Yvonne and Anna, all of Sharah, S.C.; an aunt, Mae Alice Ingram of Brooksville; and eight grandchildren.

Sherman D. Collins, 78, of Glen Lakes, Brooksville, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Manchester, Conn., and moved to this area eight years ago from Broken Arrow, Okla. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a retired tech serviceman of Citgo Petroleum Corp. after 33 years of service, and a member of New Jersey Club, Masonic Lodge 26, Plainfield, N.J., Glen Lakes Country Club and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey; a son, Douglas of Mason, Ohio; a brother, John of Clifton, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.

Heather Lea Hill, 23, of Seymour, Tenn., formerly of Brooksville, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
She was born in St. Petersburg, Fla., and lived for 19 years in Green Cove Springs, Fla. She was a 1998 graduate of Clay High School, Green Cove Springs, where she was a member of the swim team and also a cheerleader. She was a member of Clay County 4-H Club. She loved to do artwork, loved the beach, was very comical with a great sense of humor. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Green Cove Springs.
Survivors include her parents, James and Donna Hill of Seymour, Tenn.; a sister, Allison Hill of Seymour, Tenn., maternal grandmother, Velma Everson of Brooksville, paternal grandparents, Brian and Sandra Stratford of Orange Park, Fla.; and her best friend, Travis Lore of Brooksville.

William Charles O'Laughlin, 92, died Thursday at home in Brooksville. A native of Fond Du Lac, Wisc., he moved to Readfield, Maine, where he operated heavy equipment for 10 years and was a member of AM & FM Lafayette Lodge 48. He moved to Florida in 1974 and was a member of the Hernando Council 1 in Brooksville. He was Catholic and is survived by his wife, Ethel O'Laughlin of Brooksville; son, Daniel of West Gardiner, Maine; two daughters, Maryann O'Laughlin of Stuart, and Barbara Young of Fitchville, Conn.; a stepson, Roland Kennerson of West Gardiner, Maine; a nephew, Eddie Leopold Jr. of White Fish Bay, Wisc.; a niece, Alice Baseman of San Jose, Calif., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joan DeLanty, 54, died Friday at home in Spring Hill. Born in New York, N.Y., she came here in 1987 from Ridge, N.Y. She was Catholic and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Suvivors include her children: a son, Brian DeLanty of Spring Hill; daughter, Linda Hanzl of Coral Springs; three sisters, Nina Seminario of Spring Hill, Anna Verderosa of Melbourne and twin sister Jane Kent of Spring Hill; and one granddaughter, Melissa DeLanty of Spring Hill. Gwendolyn "Gwen" Schnedler, 93, of Campers Holiday, Brooksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.
She was born in North Hornell, N.Y., and moved to this area 31 years ago from W. Seneca, N.Y. She retired as an X-ray technician for Erie County T.B. Association. She was the current secretary for the Board of Directors of Campers Holiday and attended First United Methodist Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include her husband, Ferris; a daughter, Nanci Schultz of Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, D. Mark Cavalcoli of Hamburg, N.Y.; five stepchildren; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Jean Francis McAndrew, 73, of Ridge Manor, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003 in Zephyrhills.
She moved to this area 25 years ago from Lowell, Mass. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include four sons, James J. McAndrew III of Ridge Manor, Brian R. McAndrew of Memphis, Barry W. McAndrew of Gainesville and Thomas R. McAndrew of Ridge Manor; four daughters, Deborah Jean Allison of Webster, Mary Lou Taylor of Plant City, Janet Marie McAndrew of Clearwater and Brenda Lee Finney of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers; five sisters; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Richard James "Dick" Hoyer, 81, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio, and moved to this area 18 years ago from Cortland, N.Y. He retired after 16 years as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Cortland and also retired after 20 years with the Cortland County School System. He was the past president for Cortland Teachers and Retired Teachers associations and for the Cortland-Madison Federal Credit Union. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; two sons, James Lee Hoyer of Keller, Texas, and Philip Lance Hoyer of Carlsbad, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara Lou Harris of Indianapolis, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

John J. Levy, 79, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Trenton, N.J. He was a correction officer for 25 years at a state prison in Trenton and then retired to Florida 16 years ago. He was a World War II and Korean War U.S. Army veteran, a lifetime member of American Legion Post 186 and VFW Post 10209, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Bronislawa; a stepbrother, Thomas Barry of Clearwater; a niece, Dorren Graham of Seminole; a grand-niece; and a grand-nephew.

She was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Queens, N.Y. She was a retired secretary with the RCA Corporation, Manhattan, N.Y., and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include her husband, John F.; a son, Robert Sanchez of St. Petersburg; and two grandchildren.

Alain Andre Georges Jeanney, 59, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Vesoul, France, lived in French West Indies, and moved to this area three years ago from St. Petersburg. He was the owner of a spa and pool manufacturing company.
Survivors include his wife, Nanci L.; a son, Bertrand Alain Jeanney; a daughter, Angelique Jeanney of St. Bartheleny, French West Indies; two brothers, Henric and Thierry, both of France; a sister, Joceline Galoyer of France; and two grandchildren.

Elisabeth T. Rand, 80, of High Point, Brooksville, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002 at Bayonet Point Regional Hospital, Hudson.
She was born in Kassel, Germany, and moved to the U.S. 54 years ago. She moved to this area 28 years ago from East Meadow, N.Y. She was a retired beautician and a member of Hernando High Point Volunteer Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary, and St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, John O'Connell and George, both of Spring Hill; a daughter, Helen Berry of Longwood, Fla.; two nieces; and seven grandchildren.

Billy Hughes Jr., 31, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002 in Floral City, due to an automobile accident.
He was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and moved to this area a year ago from Staten Island, N.Y. He worked as a painter and was a subcontractor for Mike Davidson.
Survivors include his daughter, Shannan of Fort Myers; a sister, Colleen Farrer of Carlisle, Pa.; two brothers, Richard of Spring Hill and Jeffrey of Staten Island; a niece; and five nephews.
