She was a retired legal secretary, a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 76, Amaranth Past Royal Matron, and a member of Brooksville WomanÕs Club and Mariner United Methodist Church, where she was active in all church activities.

He was born in Lansing, Mich., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Grand Rapids, Mich. He was employed by Doehler Jarvis in Michigan for 30 years and was a self-employed builder for Silvernail Homes, Spring Hill. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, serving as an LST Pilot aboard the LST886 in the Pacific during World War II, and was a member of the U.S. LST Association, VFW Post 10209, and Calvary Church of the Nazarene.

Ruth W. Tappen, 88, of Spring Hill, died Friday, June 21, 2002 at Spring Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, Brooksville.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 29 years ago from Florham Park, N.J. She was a retired school lunch room supervisor for Brooklake Elementary School, Florham Park, for many years, a Sunday School teacher at the Brooklake Chapel, Florham Park, a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Spring Hill, Grace Presbyterian Church Women's Association, where she was a Circle Leader, Spring Hill Music Club, and Women's Association, Florham, where she was voted Woman of the Year in 1962.

Donald R. Haver, 87, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville. He was born in Ohio City, Ohio and came here 30 years ago from Fort Wayne, Ind. He was Catholic by faith and was a member of the Moose, Masons, Shriners and DAV Chapter #67. He was also a U.S. World War II Army Air Corps veteran who served as a staff sergeant.

Donald Talbot Snoots Sr., 69, of Brooksville, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003 at his home. Born in Petersville, Md. He retired after 13 years as a small engine technician from Sears and worked for Delphey's Sport's Store both in Frederick, Md. He owned D&D Small Engine Repair with his sons and was an avid musician, playing with Patsy Cline, Jimmy Dean and Roy Clark.
