He was born in Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands, British West Indies, and moved to this area 17 years ago from Staten Island, N.Y. He was a Merchant Marines veteran and a member of Spring Hill Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; three sons, Ernest Augcomfar of Riverdale, Ga., and Russell and Victor, both of Staten Island; five daughters, Jean, Donna, Carmella and Tina, all of Staten Island, and Camina of Cayman Islands; three brothers, Chim and Fred, both of Georgia, and George of Cayman Islands; three sisters, Pamella of Cayman Islands, Joyce Walton of Miami and Videll of England; 22 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean War, during which time he worked as a stationary engineer. He was a member of the Computer Club, Spring Hill, and the VFW, New York, and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons, John of Pleasanton, Calif., and Eugene of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three daughters, JoAnne Degennaro of Palm Coast and Mary Lou of Deer Park, N.Y., and Kathline Burns of Huntington Station, Long Island, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was born in Huntington, W.Va., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Big Spring, Texas. He was a retired pharmacist for VA hospitals, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret D.; and a sister, Dolores M. Young of Crystal River.

Henry B. Blow, 76, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Grand Isle, Vt., and moved to this area 13 years ago from St. Petersburg. He retired from Electronics Communications, Inc., was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, a member of St. Joan of Arc Council, American Legion Post 186, VFW Post 10209, DAV 67 and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for the 7:30 a.m. Sunday Mass.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; two sons, Stephen Zavensky of Maryland and James Zavensky of Spring Hill; three daughters, Elizabeth Evans of California, Barbara Poe of Texas and Jacqueline Ellis of Coconut Creek, Fla.; an aunt, Margaret Guerra of Spring Hill; and eight grandchildren.

Phyllis Jean Skoglund, 79, of Cloverleaf Farms, Brooksville, died Monday, June 2, 2003 at her home.
She was born in Maywood, Ill., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Oak Park, Ill. She was a retired schoolteacher working for the State of Illinois. She also taught at Eden Christian School and the special education classes at First Baptist Church Sunday School in Brooksville. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include two sons, James Scott Barngrover of Aurora, Ill., and Robert B. Barngrover of Huntington, Calif.; a stepson, Michael Skoglund of Urbandale, Iowa; a daughter, Susan Martinez of Vacaville, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Carien Thaggard, 81, of Brooksville died Friday, July 26, 2002 at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Born in Bonifay, she came to this area 67 years ago from Manatee County. She was the former owner and operator of Crossroads Grill of Brooksville and a member of the Brooksville Assembly of God Church. Survivors include her sons, Wayne Thaggard, and wife Sylvia, of Birmingham, Ala. and Rex Thaggard of Brooksville. Arrangements by Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel.

Marguerite Alena Sooman, 87, of Crystal River, died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at the Health Care Center at Brentwood in Lecanto. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, to the late George and Clara Mae (Kuhnle) Youtsey. She came to this area with her husband Alex in 1994 from Russell Springs, Ky. She owned a dry cleaning plant, was a wonderful cook and enjoyed teaching the art of cooking to her family. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and macramé. She was a Presbyterian by faith. She is survived by her husband of almost 20 years, Alex J. Sooman of Crystal River; son, Melvin Kowtny and wife Connie of Crystal River; daughter, Elaine Founds and husband Russell of Homosassa; two granddaughters, Tara Hood and husband Douglas of Kettering, Ohio, and Becky Pugh and husband Daryl of Marrietta, Ga.; three grandsons, Terry Stubblefield of Palm Harbor, Kirk Stubblefield and wife Soon Dong of Houston, Texas, Gus Kownty and wife Penny of Louisville, Ky., and 10 great-grandchildren. Eleanor Jeanne Heidelmeier, 75, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Fairmont, W.Va., and moved to this area recently from Oviedo, Fla. She was a retired real estate associate.
Survivors include a son, Joseph of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Lisa Nitsche of Brooksville and Jeanne Suzanne Gaal of Vancouver, British Columbia; two brothers, Willis Enochs of Townsend, Ga., and Robert Enochs of Hernando, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

He was born in Ripley, Ohio, and moved to this area 22 years ago from Wayne, Mich. He retired as a truck driver for Laramie, Inc., after 20 years of service. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of Teamster Local 247 and a Southern Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; four daughters, Deborah Hughes of Belleville, Mich., Terre Fryer and Peggy Pepper, both of Fort Myers, and Tammy Zgurich of Monroe, Mich.; a brother, Raymond Fryer of Ohio; a sister, Frances Hart of Wayne, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was born in Clearwater and moved to this area 23 years ago from Hialeah. He was owner/operator of Palm Day School and kindergarten in Hialeah for 26 years, and also had worked at Farrens of Clearwater for 15 years. He was a member of First Assembly of God, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; three daughters, Carol A. Mayer of Ft. Lauderdale, Diane Nolan of Spring Hill, and Jean Fox of High Point, Brooksville; two brothers, Marvin of Spring Hill and Robert of Brooksville; a sister, Bertha L. Moore of Dade City; and six grandchildren.

She was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, and moved to this area 11 years ago from Largo. She retired in 1980 after 37 years as a secretary for Marshalltown Instruments and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include two cousins, Vera Schindler of Czech Republic and Jim Schimek of Colorado.
