Lillie Mae Mobley Fagin, 76, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.
She was born in Ocala and was a lifelong resident of Brooksville. She was a member of the Josephine Street Church of the Living God, Brooksville.
Survivors include five sons, Elder Willie T. Fagin, Eddie S. Fagin, Alonzo Fagin and Calvin Fagin, all of Brooksville, and Norman L. Fagin of Okinawa, Japan; four daughters, Minnie L. Fagin, Glennell F. Williams and Janice F. Greene, all of Brooksville, and Dorothy Green of Floral City; a brother, Hal David Mobley Jr. of Brooksville; 28 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Irene Morales, 56, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002 at Shands Medical Center, Gainesville.
She was born in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Miramar, Fla. She was a registered medical assistant and attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include a son, Anthony Jerome of Spring Hill; two daughters, Wendy Marie of Brooksville and Yvonne Renee of Spring Hill; her father, Louis Suarez of Spring Hill; a brother, Louis Suarez Jr. of San Ramon, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Varner M. Smith, 81, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Cedartown, Ga., and moved to this area five years ago from Hiram, Ga. She was owner-operator of a bait and tackle shop and a Baptist by faith.

He was born in Providence, R.I., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Warwick, R.I. He was a retired polisher for the optical manufacturing firm Martin Copeland Company, a volunteer for the AARP Meals on Wheels program for many years, and a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include a son, David of Midlothian, Va.; a daughter, Lillian McConnell of Spring Hill; a sister, Alice Whorf of East Greenwich, R.I.; six grandchildren, Lawrence, Kenneth, Allen and Scott Pritchard, Stepheni Duhaime, and Michaele Schatz; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 27 years ago from Bayshore, Long Island, N.Y. He was a retired tile contractor, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a member of VFW Post 10209 and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine; a son, Carlo of Oakdale, N.Y.; two daughters, Marie Pastore and Ginny LoCascio, both of Spring Hill; a sister, Dolly Gelish of Waterbury, Conn.; and 11 grandchildren.

Robert G. Fay, 86, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville.
He was born in Butler, Pa. He was a field engineer for General Electric Corporation and a World War II U.S. Army and Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce A.; two sons, Gary L. of Brooksville and Robert of Leander, Texas; three daughters, Carol Jean Martin of Clearwater, Margery M. Rosewicz of Orlando and Georgann Cobb of Summerville, S.C.; a sister, Alma Hetrick of Williamsburg, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Bert Spicer, 99, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001 at Beverly Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Kay Walker, 77, of Hudson, formerly of Brooksville, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2001 at her home.
She was a native of Newport, Ky., and moved to this area 21 years ago from Miami. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include her son, Dennis of Hudson; and two grandchildren.

Cleveland Clarence 'Buss' Nelson, 89, of Clearwater, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001 at Westchester Gardens Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Seattle, Wash., and moved to this area 32 years ago. He was active in prison ministry work at the Sumpter Correctional Institute, Brooksville. He was a Mason in Urbana, Ill. for 50 years, and retired from the University of Illinois, Urbana, where he had worked as a tool and instrument machinist in the physical plant. He worked as a civilian mechanic during World War II in Pearl Harbor on the returning ships. He was a Protestant by faith and a member of Spring Lake Methodist Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Linda of Clearwater; a son, Cleve Allen of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Edith Nicholson of St. Petersburg and Betty Carlisle of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Frank of Evansville; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Margaret E. Baker, 96, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to this area six years ago from Clearwater. She was a homemaker and attended Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include her son, William E. of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; two sisters, Elinore Hurd and Marian Scott, both of Brooksville; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Anna L. Blair, 71, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001 at her home.
She was born in Boston, Mass., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Danvers, Mass. She was active in organizing social events in Brookridge, a member of the Ladies Golf Association, Brookridge, Ceramic Club of Brookridge, Clan Blair Society, and Scottish Social Club, and a Catholic by faith.

Theresa Ann D'Amato, 53, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002 at her home. She was born in New York and moved to this area more than 20 years ago. She was a clerical worker for Pasco Hernando Community College, and a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband, Alan; two daughters, Nicole Michelle D'Amato and Brittany Ann D'Amato, both of Brooksville; four sons, Jordan Gregory of Brooksville, and Joseph Stabile, Anthony Stabile and Paul Stabile, all of Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother, Nicolo Costello of Coral Springs and a granddaughter. Glenn A. Smith, 52, of Hernando Beach died Tues, Nov. 26, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville. He was born in Keene, N.H., and came to Florida in 1985. He worked as a U.S. postal carrier in Clearwater before coming to Spring Hill.
A U.S. Marine veteran who fought in Vietnam, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and of the U.S. Marine Corps League.
Survivors include his wife, Beth; two sons, Kirk of Clearwater and Jody Weidner of Palm Harbor, ; a brother Bernie of New Hampshire; three sisters, Gail Atkins of Holiday, and Juanita Sweet and Joyce Furget, both of New Hampshire; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Scott Michael Gove, 36, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002 in Wesley Chapel. Born in Framingham, Mass., he moved to this area nine months ago from Port Richey. He worked for the United States Treasury Department as a criminal investigator for the U.S. Customs Service. He graduated from Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester, Mass., with an A.S. degree in criminal law and went to Sam Houston University, where he got a B.S. degree in criminal justice and was on the Dean's List. He went to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center for criminal investigation training class, Glynco, Ga., and graduated in 1992. He was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, the Sam Houston Criminal Justice Honor Society and the Alpha Zeta Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. He is survived by his wife, Maria; his parents, Raymond and Mildred Morgan; and three brothers, Ronald and Glen Gove and Billy Prouty, all of Massachusetts. John Nico Vermeulen, 75, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002 at his home.
He was born in Ravenstein, Netherlands, and moved to this area a year ago from Mehas, Spain. He was past president of the Humane Society in Mehas and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include a brother, Frederick J. of the Netherlands; a sister, Johanna Helenna Hakman of the Netherlands; and four nieces and nephews.
