She moved to this area 23 years ago from Berkley, Mich. She worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator for 22 years in Royal Oak, Mich. She was a member of the Pioneers of Bell Telephone, Royal Oak Branch, St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Clearwater, and St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Bechard and Elizabeth Osburn; a stepdaughter, Yvonne Collingwood, Southfield, Mich.; two sisters, Proxes Bryant of Cedar, Mich., and Sophia Sharp of Sun City West, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Mary James, 87, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001 at her home.
She was born in Newark, N.J., and moved to this area 18 years ago from Irvington, N.J. She was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Flinn of Spring Hill; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Joseph E. Youngflesh, 82, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at Forest Oaks Care Center, Spring Hill.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and moved to this area 30 years ago from Ocean Gate, N.J. He was a retired battalion chief for the fire department in Philadelphia, Pa. for 27 years, a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Okinawa and Korea as a sergeant, a member of VFW Post 10209, Brooksville and Ed Salmon String Band, Hudson, for 15 years, and attended St. Anthony Catholic Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include his wife, Anne; three daughters, Patricia Meshon of Rosemont, Pa., Frances OÕLoughlin of Ocean Gate and Florence Illuminatti of Toms River, N.J.; a brother, Thomas of Mt. Laurel, N.J.; a sister, Florence OÕConnor of Cherry Hill, N.J.; a stepson, Jerry L. Smith of Racine, Wis.; five stepdaughters, Emily LaMond of Pleasantview, Tenn., Gloria Taylor and Judy Andersen, both of Las Cruces, N.M., and Kathy Prahl of St. Louis, Mo.; several grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Ruth H. Timmons, 82, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
She was born in McMinnville, Tenn., and moved to this area nine years ago from Brentwood, Tenn. She was a homemaker, former member of the Forest Hills United Methodist Church, Brentwood, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include two sons, Walter L. Jr. of Nashville, Tenn., and Harry P.; four grandchildren, Walter Russell Timmons, Rody L., Harry P. Jr. and Lisa Ann; and a great-grandson, Brooks.

Henry Norman Bronisz, 65, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, April 28, 2002.
He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to this area 13 years ago from Buffalo. He was a longtime business owner.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; four sons, Michael, Martin, and Mark, all of Buffalo, and Thomas of Raleigh, N.C.; two daughters, Michelle and Tamara, both of Spring Hill; and eight grandchildren.

Talis Lewie, 80, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in South Carolina and moved to this area 39 years ago from Jacksonville, Fla. He was the retired owner/operator of WhiteÕs Auto, former Brooksville City Commissioner, charter member of the Brooksville Golf & Country Club, a Mason, and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Effie Mae; a son, Chuck of Chassahowitzka; a daughter, Jenny Scharber of Brooksville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

AnnaMarie Cisbani, 74, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Munich, Germany, and moved to this area six years ago from New Port Richey. She was a homemaker and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Claude; a son, Raymond Cisbani of New Port Richey; three daughters, Marlane Castellano and Claudette Elliott, both of New Port Richey, and Monica Anderson of Spring Hill; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Arnold Benjamin Herscher, 86, of Long Island, Miss., died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 in Gulfport, Miss.
He was born in Buckingham, Ill., and lived in Spring Hill since 1972 until he moved eight years ago to live closer to his daughter Susan. He obtained his master's degree in mathematics at the University of Chicago and was a retired flight deck meteorologist for the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service. He was a marine climatologist for 10 years with Defense Intelligence Agency. He was an accomplished pianist, an organist for 20 years at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church LCMS, Masaryktown, and an elder, treasurer and adult bible class teacher at Holy Trinity.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith M. Grulke of Millington, Mich., and Susan H. Ramsey of Balsam, N.C.; two sisters, Madeline Kulow of Owosso, Mich., and Evelyn Weber of Fort Myers; three grandsons; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

Charles Raymond Schultz, 77, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to this area 11 years ago from Akron, Ohio. He was a retired sales and regional manager for Grayton, General Electric and Motorola, and was a member of Aripeka Elks Lodge 2520 and Hernando Old Car Club. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a flight engineer on a PBM Mariner and held a private pilot's license.
Survivors include a son, Charles W. Schultz of Westerville, Ohio; a daughter, Debra Schultz D'Elia of Hudson; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was born in Battle Creek, Mich., and moved to this area 19 years ago from Jacksboro, Tenn. He was a retired parts manager for American Metal Products Company, LaFollette, Tenn., a member of the Amateur Radio Club, and a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; a son, Robert J. Parrish of Augusta, Mich.; and two sisters, Georgia Post of Palm Harbor and Harriet Thompson of Marshall, Mich.

Edward V. Urbano, 76, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003 in Brooksville.
He was born in Providence, R.I., and moved to this area 27 years ago from Cranston, R.I. He worked in the water division maintenance department at Hernando County Utilities Department and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, Edward Urbano of Tampa; a daughter, Debra Domenico of Brooksville; two brothers, Arthur and Alfanzo Urbano of Cranston; and three sisters, Angelina Pasquazzi and Rena Mollicone, both of Cranston, and Eleanor Gordon of Palm Beach.

George Barbas, 85, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, May 3, 2003 at the Spring Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Stanford, Conn., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church.
Survivors include his three daughters, Julia Soldatos of Queens, N.Y., Stacy Barbas of New Port Richey and Barbara Katechis of Bronx, N.Y.; two sons, James of Spring Hill and Dino of Bronx, N.Y. and five grandchildren.

Rudolph Anderson, 98, of Brooksville, died Saturday, May 3, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Bark River, Mich., and moved here 12 years ago.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Gering of Brooksville.
