She was born in Lansford, N.D., and moved to this area eight years ago from Bozeman, Mont. She was a member of The King Episcopal Church for 65 years, Order of the Eastern Star for 64 years, Order of the White Shrine, Sapphire Temple-Daughter of the Nile, and the Red Cross Grey Ladies. She was Past Matron for The Order of the Eastern Star in Virginia City, Mont., and Past Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls.
Survivors include her husband, Sig; a son, Lyman H. Bennett III of Bozeman; a daughter, Mary Carlson of Evergreen, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Annette Jacobsen of Lutz and Colette Jacobsen of Bloomfield Hill, Mich.; and two grandsons.

She was born in Peekskill, N.Y., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Verplanck, N.Y. She was a former Barbizon Model of New York.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie; a son, Julio Jr. of Long Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Yvonne Morris of Long Island; two brothers, Joseph of Long Island and Luis Mercado of Puerto Rico; a sister, Esther Mercado of Puerto Rico; and eight grandchildren.

Clara Edna Hagner, 75, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 at the Hospice Care Center in Brooksville.
She was a resident of this area for the past 20 years, coming from her native Phoenixville, Penn.
She was a retired cook for the High Point Clubhouse.
Survivors include her husband, Christian T. Bean, Jr.,; a son, Alex Hoishik of Spring City, Penn.; two daughters, Holly Calhoun of Lithia, Fla., and Susan Donoghue of Norristown, Penn.; a brother, Mark Hagner, of Parksburg, Penn.; a sister, Anne Black of Lithia, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a retired accountant, having working in St. Petersburg, Fla. for 15 years.
Survivors include her sons, John and Raymond, both of Spring Hill, and Paul of Hudson, Fla.; a brother, Thomas J. Thompson of Syracuse, N.Y.; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.

Thomas A. Skiles, Jr., 40, of Brooksville, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio, and moved to this area eight years ago from Key West, Fla.
He was an auto body painter for R&S Auto Body of Tampa. He was a Methodist by faith and attended the Westside Independent Baptist Church in Brooksville.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel; sons, Thomas A. Skiles III and Michael A. Skiles, both of Brooksville; a daughter, Nina B. Skiles of Brooksville; father Thomas A. Cheryl Frketic, 46, of Spring Hill and Hiawassee, Ga., died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003. She was born in Macomb, Mich., April 16, 1957. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blairsville, Ga. and St. Theresa Catholic Church in Spring Hill. Mrs. Frketic was a business partner and president of a land developing company where she worked with her husband and family.
Survivors include her husband, Michael of Spring Hill and Hiawassee; sons, Jon, Matthew; daughter, Jorie, all of Spring Hill and Hiawassee; parents, Donald and Lois Ihrke of Spring Hill; sister, Karen Capanylla of Novi, Mich; brothers, Robert Ihrke of Dryden, Mich., and Ronald Ihrke of Utica, Mich.

David J. Donovan, 69, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003 at home under the care of his family and Hernando-Pasco Hospice. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he came to this area six years ago. Mr. Donovan served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and is a retiree of AT&T. He was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, New York Council and a 26 year member of the Lake View, N.Y. Volunteer Fire Association, serving as fire district commissioner for 18 years.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Jennifer Schultz of Valrico; a son, David R. Donovan of Ponte Vedra; a sister, June Pingrey of Tampa; and two grandchildren.

Salvatore S. Attardi, 68, of Spring Hill, died Monday, December 29, 2003 at home. He was born in Manhattan, N.Y. and came here a month ago from Brodheadsville, Pa. He was Catholic by faith and a member of the Riflemen's Association. He was an avid pool player and the youngest recipient of the Billiard Championship in New York.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan Attardi of Pocono, Pa; a son, Charles Attardi of New York state; sisters, Lucille Grisafi of Ft. Meyers and Joanne Urso of Spring Hill; many nieces and nephews.

Henry J. Gerwatowski, 83, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and moved to Palm Harbor in 1983. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Spring Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Helen T., 62.

Alicia Meston-Diaz, 74, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003 at Tampa General Hospital.
She was born in Chile, and came to this area eight months ago from Coral Springs. She was a homemaker and gardener and Catholic by faith.
Survivors include: husband, Richard; two sons, Francis Richard Meston of Spring Hill and Ronald Andrew Meston of Long Island, N.Y.; one daughter, Patricia Cardelli of Spring Hill; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Elma L. Alvord, 97, of Brooksville died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
Born in Liberty City, Fla., she came here 36 years ago from Ocala. She was a homemaker, the first resident of Cloverleaf and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brooksville.
Survivors include: son, John W. White of Brooksville; sister, Edna L. Hord of Le High Acres, Fla.; grandchildren, Howard R. White and Nancy W. Schmidt; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann, Allison Ann and Charles Reid Schmidt Jr.

Robert C. "Bob" Godfrey, 64, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004 at his home under the care of his family and Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
Born in Salisbury, Md., he moved to the area 12 years ago from St. Petersburg.
He was an electrician and a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Godfrey was a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; sons, Richard Alan of California and David Ralph of Old Town; brothers, Clark of Florida and Drew of Washington; sister, Joan Parrish of Safety Harbor; and four grandchildren.

Russell Aaron Lohn, 55, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004 at his home.
He was born in Michigan and moved to this area 22 years ago from Warren, Mich. He worked as a foreman for a paving company and enjoyed riding his Harley and was a former member of the Moose Lodge. He also enjoyed entertaining his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Susan L. of Spring Hill; two daughters, Deanna M. and Elizabeth J. of Spring Hill; and one grandson.

Sadie Viola Watkins, 83, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
She was born in Michigan, and moved to this area 33 years ago from Orchard Lake, Mich. She was a homemaker and previously worked 10 years for McCrory's in Florida. She was also a volunteer for March of Dimes in Michigan, played pinochle, enjoyed her bowling league, and was Lutheran.
Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Watkins of Brooksville; three sons, James W. of South Pasadena, Fla., Kenneth A. of Largo, Fla., and Tracy E. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two daughters, Charlene C. Jenkins of Monroe, Mich. and Deborah K. Marenco of Spring Hill; a sister, Betty Wagenschutz of Lachine, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lula Mae Waddy, 90, of Brooksville, died Saturday, May 3, 2003 at her daughter's home in Brooksville.
She was born in Uniontown, Ala., and moved to this area 61 years ago from Uniontown, Ala. She was a member of Eastside House of God, Brooksville, where she served as the mother and a minister of the church.
Survivors include six sons, Willie, John, Fred, Samuel, Robert and Dexter, all of Brooksville; six daughters, Fannie Williams, Bertha Brown and Myra Brooks, all of Brooksville, Alberta Williams of Philadelphia, Pa., Shirley Burns of Fort Lauderdale, and Linda Carl Waddy of Ocala; three brothers, James Hall, Major Drake and Robert Drake, all of Brooksville; seven sisters, Ethel Outlaw, Hattie Byrd, Willye Mobley and Lillie Moore, all of Brooksville, Emma Huggins of Sanford, Fla., Mamie Davis of Philadelphia and Minnie Byrd of Bessemer, Ala.; 102 grandchildren; 170 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

He retired from Seaboard Coastline Railroad, was a World War II and Korean War U.S. Marine Corp veteran, a member of Hernando Masonic Lodge 97, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 76, VFW Post 8713, and Brooksville Golf & Country Club, and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; a son, Hugh O., Jr. of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; a stepson, Christopher Dudley Thames III of League City, Texas; two daughters, Carolyn Stoner of Fuquay-Varina and Ernestine Thompson of Tampa; a brother, Clinton of Reddington Beach, Fla.; a sister, Norma Hackney of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; and several grandchildren.
