He was a retired Mechanical Engineer with Frigiking of Dallas, TX before starting his own business, Conaire Air Conditioning Distributors. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran, member of the Indiana Club of Spring Hill and was a Shriner in Dallas. He attended the Grace Presbyterian Church, Spring Hill and was also a volunteer teacher in the Spring Hill area.
